The serving is pretty generous if you get the combo of rice, meat, and a side dish. Let them pour some of the sauce on the rice. You have a choice of their meats which are pretty tender and tasty. I always come back to this place.

We were out running errands in a part of town we don't typically visit so I did a quick Yelp search to see what was around. We love Cuban food and this place was less than 1/2 mile away so we decided to give it a try. The first thing you need to know is that the food is all preprepared and sitting on a steam table. You basically go up to the counter, point to what you want, get a bottled beverage, pay and sit down. That makes it a quick meal option but also means there is no customization. The main entrees were good but my rice and beans didn't have very many beans. Both of the meats (beef and pork) were flavorful and tender. The papas were a huge letdown. They are a favorite when I eat Cuban and these were extremely mushy and bland. My husband enjoyed the green beans with cabbage and onions but I was turned off by the vinegar taste. My husband adored his pastry but wished it was bigger. My tres leche was good but not extraordinary which was my hope since the restaurant is also a bakery. Other than the cute wall at the entrance, the dining room gave kinda the same vibe as a Chinese takeout place. It was basic tables with red chairs. There's nothing wrong with that. It was clean and simple.

Driving on Preston Hwy, my friend pointed out that she seen a Cuban restaurant sign. I quickly made a U-Turn and we went inside. They have plenty of bakery items, rice, black beans, several types of meat, Yuka, plantains, tostones, green beans, coffee, pizza, beer, etc...It's a small spot, but they have it setup to where you can dine-in or take to go. They play gentle Cuban music in the background. They serve your food on nice durable plates that's set on a tray for you to take to your table. This spot sits next to McDonald's (across the street from Roses . It's in the Indian Trail Square. If you like Cuban food, you won't be disappointed. They give you plenty of food, the employees are still wearing masks and gloves, they have the tables separated from each other and the place looks organized and clean. They also have the floors marked to practice social distancing.

Don't let the outside of this place intimidate you. Once you walk inside the door, everything changes. We have been on a Cuban food craze as we find it gives us the closest fix to my husband's taste of home for Puerto Rico. After trying Havana Bakery and another local spot, I found this place and insisted we stop by.It did not disappoint and everything was so tasty. Combo meals are cheap and offer very filling portions. We were intrigued by the desserts, but since we are "trying" to be good we did not indulge.....this time.The cafe was comfortable and the staff was really friendly. It is definitely a place to stop and try and one we will keep in rotation as it is not far from home either.

Friendly, clean, authentic. Lots of food for a very reasonable price. My kids got pizza and it was good! We got pork, chicken and beef for meat, rice, yucca, and beans for sides. (Make sure you get the pink onions for your yucca, great flavor.) It was good. My favorite was finding soursop juice.

This is some really good Cuban food. I stop here every time I'm heading north to Michigan. The food is fantastic and its fills you up. Beef, Pork, Lamb, or Chicken it does not matter. This stuff is great.

Really freaking good. The meal I got was a gigantic overstuffed to-go container for a reasonable price and was delicious.
