The salsa was to die for! Chips are out of a bag, but this salsa is so good, it doesn't matter.

We were the only patrons in the restaurant on a Wednesday around 7p. The complimentary chips were too salty for my preference; though the accompanying salsa was flavorful and not too salty. I ordered the slow-cooked pork with rice & beans, salad and plantain. Again, I was disappointed in the flavor and texture of the pork. My dish was dry and completely without seasoning or genuine taste. Cuban restaurants are supposed to have amazing pork, but that was not the case here. However, my husband's meal of slow-cooked chicken was amazing. I wished I had ordered his dish instead of the pork. The service was efficient and friendly, even though the server spoke limited English.Overall, I was not impressed, Maybe if I had ordered the chicken instead of the pork, I would be more excited about this restaurant. Probably, I should suggest that you eat here, but just do not order the pork.

I had left a good review until I got home and started to eat my food. This was my little favorite spot, one because I love Cuban food and two, because it's just minutes away. I'm giving it 1 star because the meat tasted so salty that it was too overbearing to eat. Also, I found a piece of a plastic bag within my salad. That's what really did it for me. Not even wanting to bother with driving back to get my $$ back. Won't be going back.

First time visiting this restaurant and I really enjoyed it. Our waitress was very friendly and responsive despite knowing little English. We took it as an opportunity to practice our Spanish but everyone understands a genuine smile. We ordered the Mahi Mahi to go and the flavor was delicious! I'm sure it would've been better in the store but we had to run. We will definitely be returning not only for the great food but the friendly service. Also try their Cuban Coffee if you like strong espresso.

In the last month I have tried 4 local Cuban places: Havana Rumba, Mi express cuban sueno, Havana Bakery and now Cuba Y Mas. Every place got 5 stars but I'll have to give this place 4 because of my Masas de Cerdo Frita. (fried pork) As much as I wanted to like my pork, it was so tough and dry, I just felt like they had been in the fryer too long. The seasoning was great and authentic so I can be somewhat forgiving. I also ordered beef empanadas which were on point, the beef mixture was good but the dough was even better. You get 4 per order. Last but not least I also ordered a fried Red Snapper. Yes I'm a pig and I ordered all this solo! Now this, I was very happy with as the fish was amazing. They also have a yellow rice which is the best I've had hands down. The plantains deserve a paragraph of their own. They had the perfect carmamelization on them and if I could just rate the plantains, they'd get 10 stars easily. Try some of their juices and smoothies as well, I ordered a mango pineapple juice which was more like a smoothie but you could tell it was fresh fruit!Love the ambience and music they have going as well.

This is my first at Cuba Y Mas. I had the ropa vieja and my mother had the Merluza Frita. Both were great!

My neighborhood go to spot for Cuban food. Casual environment. They offer a variety of Cuban dishes. I ordered the beef empanadas, mango milkshake and cuban tamal to go. My friend raves about their congris. They are worth a visit. The music playing is always great.

Ok folks if you can't get to Miami or Cuba then this is the next best place to eat for Cuban food, WOW! I have eaten at plenty of Cuban restaurants in South Florida and for this place to be in located in Kentucky is a real treat. The food was OUTSTANDING! Be sure to order the plantains and don't leave before having a Cuban coffee (caffeine buzz!). Muy Bien!

Knocked my socks off. I haven't been this satisfied by a meal in years. Hands down some of the best Cuban food I have ever had (and I've been to Miami). Place is small and in a strip mall but it's CLEAN. The chips and salsa brought to the table while we waited was so good, we asked for more to go. Comparable in price to other Cuban food in town but the portions are more than I could eat in one sitting. I will be coming back to try other Cuban favorites of mine but the first visit was an absolute pleasure. The ropa vieja was perfection. I have not been able to stop thinking about how good it was all day!
