It's the middle of the day, lunch is in full swing with one cook and one waitress. Needless to say there were time lags but my server was efficient and even got a refill on my drink as she dealt with a lots of customers on her own. She was amazing! My chicken breast was tender and flavorful and the fries were perfect! So good! This is a community diner with few frills and obviously a lack of staff though the teamwork was pretty amazing. This place is definitely worth checking out for a casual meal.

Plenty of people here on a Sunday but no wait so that was a plus. The waitress brought drinks out and took our order in a timely manner. The food was hot, farm fresh and delicious! Better than that other barrel place in my opinion ;)

Visited Country Barrel for lunch on a recent work trip. It is a tiny little restaurant wit a small town feel and kind service. I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap which I thought was good! I don't think there was any ranch or blue cheese in it, so you might want to ask for that on the side if you like that as part of your buff chicken wraps. I got the chips as my side which came with a kickin' ranch type sauce, so I used this. The chips and sauce were awesome! I would highly recommend getting those over the fries. Worth a visit if you are already in the area.

A bit of a drive for me because I live in Trenton. Glad I made the trip for breakfast. Old stand by of biscuits sausage gravy and fried taters. White gravy with lots of sausage,my favorite, and the potatoes were browned perfectly. Lady who waited on us was easy on the eyes and a darn good waitress. Attentive but not a bother.oh and they have chocolate milk. Always a bonus. I'll definitely be going back

My wife and I love their breakfast. I've had a burger once and it was really good, but other than that it's always breakfast. The food is never an issue, it's always delicious and the quantity is good for the price. However, there are two main waitresses there that I know of, and one or maybe two others that I rarely see. My wife and I have always been served by the two regular waitresses, and you get a very different experience depending on who you get.The younger one, and I can't remember her name right now, is amazing. Super friendly, funny, interacts with you, and is on top of things, even when busy. If you have her, it's a 5 star experience all the time. I don't remember her name cause we haven't had her in quite a while. The other, older lady, who remains nameless because she's never told us, is the complete opposite. Unfortunately we have been getting her a lot these last few times we've gone in, including today.I get it, they were packed when we got there. Sunday morning, church folks. She got me my first drink that probably would've filled the glass had I got ice, which I asked for none so at least she got that right. She fills it up and doesn't wait for the foam to die down before bringing it, and she doesn't fill it at an angle to let the foam pour out as she's filling it up. I didn't say anything. Not that I had time to even if I wanted to. She put the drink down and sped off. She did the same when she brought my wife's drink a minute later. We decided what we wanted and had to wait another ten minutes for her to come take the order. By that time I had finished my drink. She came back five minutes later to get my empty cup. My wife told her to get me two to save her the trouble, cause I drink a lot. She brought back two, and the one had even less in it than before. That's the picture I included. You can see the other behind it, and it was actually full. After our 5 star food came, which she dropped off by damn near actually dropping it, like she'd rather throw it at us, we never saw her again. She never came to check on us, see how the food was, give us our check, nothing. When we were done I stood at the register waiting. The youngest waitress today was one I've never had. I told her I never got my check. She went to the counter where all the checks were and looked for a moment, gave up, and began serving her customers again. Then she had the waitress we love help her look, but they didn't find it and continued serving. My waitress continued rushing around, though by that point the place had cleared and she didn't have to rush, but she didn't bother coming to cash me out.An older, sharply dressed man, maybe a manager, maybe the owner, walked up to the grill with eggs and began getting ready to cook but he looked at me, and I looked at him, and he didn't do anything but continue to set up. He would look down, then back at me. Never came over. Finally after standing there for 5 minutes, the girl who was helping me came back and apologized saying she couldn't find it. Yeah, I saw.I didn't leave a tip. I haven't done that because of bad service in a long time. Well over ten years, maybe 15. Every server deserves at least a dollar, right? Well, I'm kinda done tipping bad service. We've tipped her before and hated doing it. Not now. The next time I go, if our waitress isn't working I'm leaving. And if she is I'm going to ask her what section she's got. But I will go back. The food is too good.

Stopped in for breakfast. Very pleased with our meal. Coffee was really good - not the normal watered down diner stuff. Had eggs, home fries and toast. The toast was kinda the end of the bag, so the waitress brought us more without our asking about it. Nice gesture. Food cooked properly. Another nice touch (besides the coffee), was that they use Land O Lakes butter, not the cheap margarine kind. Would definitely stop again, if in the area.

The service at a hometown restaurant is usually good. Not this place. Waitresses snap at you and if you call in they speak to you like you are just a hassle. The food has really gone down hill too. The last few times we have ordered there has been things missing and the portions are smaller and smaller. I get it- everybody is experiencing tough times but you don't make it through by sticking it to your customers. If you want to feel like you are appreciated, if you want a home cooked meal, go somewhere else.

The food is good, dine in service is usually good, but forget carro carryout. they refuse to answer the phone and got kind of rude when I asked about it. I guess they don't want/need my business. very sorry to see that in a locally owned business.

I took my 5 year old daughter here for pancakes one night because that was her request. This place did not disappoint! Seeing that we live in a very rural area this is actually the closest restaurant to us. I passed it plenty of times in the past five years but never made it in to eat. I'm so happy we finally made it and we will positively be back. It has the nostalgia of my childhood, along with great staff that takes care of their customers. They have a piano that can be played, crayons, coloring books, and high chairs for kids. When my daughter spilled her chocolate milk, the server was so sweet about it. Their homemade chips (appetizer) were great, my BLT was perfect, and the chocolate pancakes were extra extra good. My daughter points it out every time we pass asking when we'll go back!!
