This was fun. We really did enjoy it. We learned a couple things & are glad we did it. However, we didn't think the quality of the food or the portions were fair with the price.

Very disappointed! I was looking forward to this cooking demonstration. It was titled First Saturday in May. The menu is the reason I chose this day. Benedictine is a favorite of mine. The chef had the recipes written for us in a pamphlet. Instead of using a block of cream cheese she switched it up with whipped cream cheese. She served it on cheap Kroger brand white bread. We got a half a slice of bread with a small bit of Benedictine. It had a salty taste to it. I think she took a short cut by using store brand whipped cream cheese. It would have been so much better on a nice cracker, or pumpernickel bread. She made some mango chutney with meatballs. The meatballs were flavorless and full of uncooked rice. I would have been embarrassed to serve them. Our whole table was shocked by the small size of the meatballs. Then she made baby back ribs with jezebel sauce. We got to try one bone. The flavor of the sauce was nothing special. My rib was a piece of fat.Next was her version of Hot Brown stuffed Roma tomatoes. They were stuffed with Pepperidge farm bread crumbs and there was supposed to be bacon in it but she must have left it at home. The last thing on the menu was mashed potatoes with the benedictine mixed in them. I do not think mashed potatoes and cucumbers go together. That was a big thumbs down! The demonstration was not worth $70. Everyone around me was complaining about the small portions of the food that we sampled.I honestly left feeling very disappointed, and underwhelmed with the presentation and taste of the food. I'm not sure how the lady got the title of Queen of Flavors.I gave it two stars because I had fun with my friend and the two strangers that we met at the table.

I took my 12 year old niece and 9 year old daughter to this class as my daughter lives out of state and visits once a year. They were super excited for this cooking class. It's a 2 hour class and $60 per kid which is very reasonable. The Mexican cuisine they learned to cook was delicious and they enjoyed the experience. I highly recommend this class for kids and would do it again... the owner is kind and cares greatly about the classes!

One of my favorite places to visit and my entire family looks forward to joining me for cooking classes or demonstration events. Great for a date night, girls' night, with a teenage kiddo -- we all eagerly await the newsletters to make plans for our next visit -- so many choices! We've learned how to make pretzels, hot browns, chocolate mousse, whip an egg, brew beer, and enjoy honey. We have family members who are vegetarian, meat-and-potatoes, and if-it's-not-nailed-down palates and we have been fortunate to meet here several times a year for a fun time. The shop is also fabulous and I visit periodically to have my knives properly sharpened and, of course, HAVE to wander around the store to get a few things. Linens, cookware, knives, gadgets, and thingamajigs, etc. They have it all or have even curated items upon request. The owner operator and staff are all extremely knowledgeable and helpful each time I have visited and we get a 10% discount when we attend a class. Fantastic location with plenty of parking and an extensive schedule.

We had an excellent time at date night here. You are seated with you partner or group and don't have to interact with others unless you want to. The chef was knowledgeable and helpful. Each dish was explained before we started cooking and then we all did the steps together. You get two glasses of wine per person. Red or white. Generous pours. All the food was delicious. The class moved at a nice pace. We enjoyed everything we ate and will definitely be back again for another date night.

This place is so much fun! The cooking experience was amazing and the food turned out well. Just a few small things. They do only allow you 2 small glasses of wine with your meal, so if you are expecting more, it's not going to happen.

We had a pretty nice time here. Came here with three other ladies on the recommendation of one of them who had already been with her husband for what she thought was a cooking class but turned out to be a cooking demo. There seems to be some confusion with the wording in their promotional material, and I'm/we're not the only ones to have been confused. It started with a check in at their retail store just across from the class area. The store is adorable and has so many cute and useful products. I wanted to buy everything but unfortunately I could not and I settled for just a mortar and pestle. We were awarded a 10% off coupon for taking the class, redeemable for a month, so I definitely wanted to take advantage. Either way, very smart move to start us in the store to get us inspired and get our wallets out (it really is very cute and I sincerely liked it). The entire staff that we interacted was very sweet as well. The class itself was more disappointing. The chef was lovely and she mostly talked us through what she was doing. All the ingredients for us were already prepped, so essentially all the work we did was mix and combine things. The cooking itself primarily took place in the front of the room, en masse with everyone else's. I was hoping and envisioning individual cooking stations, but we were seated at regular tables with small portable induction stoves that we barely used. When it came time to eat, especially the (very small) steaks, I thought they came out terrible because they were crammed in with everyone else's in the oven after a quick sear. It was difficult to distinguish which one was mine. I'm a relative experienced home cook and I didn't feel like I took anything away from the class. However, I'm speaking for myself, everyone else in my group was absolutely delighted with the class. So if you're looking for something more hands on where you have control and you learn something difficult or foreign, this is probably not the place. If you're new to cooking and want to get some tips and end with a meal that's probably better than what you usually make at home, you'll be glad you came.
