I love wine. I love winery hopping. This is called Chrisman Mill Vineyards. I expected a vineyard. This is *actually* a tasting room at the mall. To be fair, according to Drink Ky, they have a vineyard that is not open to the public, but the winery page on Yelp takes you to the tasting room. So...I think my expectations left me a little disappointed. I still love drinking wine and I wasn't going to say no, but I thought we were going somewhere else. That said, the space is lovely. A nice retail area, brightly lit and clean. The bar area isn't extensive, but large enough to seat a couple of small groups. We sat at the end of the bar and were greeted quickly by the guy working. He explained the tasting options. Flights range from $5-$8, and you get three generous pours or your selection of wines or sangrias.I opted for the wine flight option. My selections were the Vidal, Sweet Jessamine Rose, and Sweet Riverbend Red. They were alright, nothing that made me want to buy a bottle.Apparently they are in the midst of a special offer for a free fondue plate with two tastings. That was a nice surprise! The flights come served on a barrel stave. It is a nice idea, but it is a little unstable. We both thought it was a little funny when the music that was playing switched to "Get Low" and some other club-like music. The fella liked it, I kinda killed the ambiance for me.If you are shopping at the mall in Lexington, and need a lil' wine time, Chrisman is a good option. If you want to go to a winery...this will probably disappoint you some as well.

This place is phenomenal!Been wanting to try it for such a long time, but then a Groupon appeared and I finally went ahead with it. Parking is a little more frustrating at certain times because you have to deal with mall traffic, but it's such a cute space!Denise is amazing (she owns it along with her husband Chris, makes the bourbon balls and a decadent chocolate bourbon fondue). There's a wide range of wines, from dry to sweet to very fruity (I'm quite partial to the Jessamine blush, and the chocolate wine). Also, the sangrias that they blend up are delicious!I definitely feel great supporting a local shop, that sells local products AND is part of the 1% Foundation.

My wife and I's favorite winery! They always treat us and everyone who comes visit so very well! They are always running events and have live music on the weekends! Recently they hosted their first annual Holiday Bazaar where they invited several local crafters who could sell their wares! The grounds are gorgeous, and our favorite is to sit the stone gazebo in the back that overlooks the vineyard and drink a bottle of vino or have one of their many hand crafted cocktails! Highly recommend this place!

This is such a cute place to come have a glass of wine or do a tasting with friends. Their wines are wonderful. I visited one night when they had great live music (Saturday), but they have trivia and other events throughout the week. They also sell many Kentucky Proud items, so this is a great place to stop in to buy a gift.

The tasting shop has moved since they first opened here in Hamburg. I do prefer this spot to be honest. You can get to it really easily and lots of parking out front. They have indoor and outdoor seating and even live music often. I stop in here with my friend Amy when we go to see a movie or have to go shopping. It is our treat to knock the edge off before we shop. The shop is always clean which is a perk. There is usually a new face every time we visit. The workers are friendly, but not as professional as one would assume. They like to tell about all the other people that no longer work for them etc. Don't get me wrong. They are great gals, but they spill others tea if you will. That is what brought them down from a 4 star to a 3 in my book. If you are in Hamburg, stop in here for a tasting and grab a glass. It really does help the shopping experience.

Pretty cool place. I had a Groupon for a wine tasting 2 plus chocolate fondue. The shop itself has a really cool feel to it. It's decorated nicely. There is only one employee and she was very nice, helpful, and informative. She talked a little about each wine we picked and chatted with us during our tasting without being imposing. She wasn't pushy and didnt try to get us to buy more wine. I definitely recommend.

Drove to the mall location on our Groupon. Couldn't find you. Called the number listed and couldn't reach anyone. Drove to the vineyard 30 minutes away, closed on a Friday afternoon. Checked the mall thoroughly on the way back to our room, empty storefront at address given.Poor customer service not keeping your business info more current and accessible.Wasted over 1.5 hours.

Such a unique place!!! By chance stopping by on a Friday night and so glad we did! The wine was good, the staff was fantastic and the atmosphere was perfect...even for our 1 year old who was with us! This is a def. Plus for the mall area ..I mean I love the Cheesecake Factory and Olive Garden every now and then too, but Chrisman Mill gives this area some great KY street cred. for being different and out of the chain gang box!

I visited this vineyard with friends over the weekend. We had a great time tasting all the wines and the food was phenomenal. Jason was very knowledgeable and took his time to really educate all of us about each wine. If you have never visited a vineyard before, I would highly recommend going here. We will definitely be back!
