Visited on Christmas Eve 2024 to grab a takeout order and discovered the restaurant will be open tomorrow -- Christmas Day (nice option other than Waffle House!) -- close to the interstate for travelers as well as locals. Plenty of parking. Menu items consist of the standards (spring rolls, egg rolls, teriyaki chicken, crab rangoons, fried rice, steamed rice, General Tso chicken, beef broccoli, Szechuan shrimp, fortune cookies, etc) and this is one of our favorite restaurants.Consistent quality and prices are fantastic. Reception staff are very friendly and helpful. Restaurant dining room and reception area are tidy, well-maintained, and welcoming. Comfortable seating while you wait.

Living in Vegas, I've tried my fair share of Chinese restaurants, but this little gem stands out with some of the best Hunan chicken I've ever had. Every time I pass through, it's a must-stop. The dish hits that perfect balance of salty, spicy, and savory, with tender chicken and crisp, flavorful veggies that make you feel good about indulging. If you're a fan of bold flavors and perfectly executed stir-fry, this place is absolutely worth a visit!

After coming back from Mammoth Caves, we were looking for a dinner spot and had trouble finding one that would allow dogs - especially after a rain that closed the outdoor patios. We rushed to China Bistro for Chinese takeout, and they graciously accepted our order even being close to closing time.We got a pretty standard "American" order - General Tso's chicken, beef and broccoli, and pork lo mein. The General Tso' chicken is super "generic" - almost like -prefrozen chicken in standard sweet sauce. So for like, something unique or authentic, this is not it but it works as a safe choice for most palates. Like Chinese chicken nuggets persay. A little bit overcooked but not tough in any way.The beef and broccoli also was more on the generic side but a bit better than the chicken. There is considerably less meat though (for those looking for protein macros), but overall worked to compliment the sweetness of the chicken.The lo mein was really good. It did come a little cold, and very notably, usually noodle portions are double or even triple than what we got (even at Panda Express), but it is what it is. Overall, the lo mein had great flavor and tied the whole meal together.(There were also two small white rice included which were appreciated despite being overcooked but also it was the end of the day so it makes sense.)At the end, we enjoyed our Chinese meal - thank you China Bistro!

We were in Clarksville, IN and we were looking for a place to have dinner. We saw China Bistro on Yelp and it was only 10 minutes away, so we decided to give it a try. The place is in a mall and from the outside, it wasn't very impressive. We were there around 7p and oist the tables were occupied, good sign.We started with Steamed Dumplings and these were a pleasant surprise. The meat and accompanying sauce were unlike any we had tried, delicious. I ordered the Chicken Curry and Beef and Scallops. Both dishes were outstanding, but I did request that the Chicken Curry be prepared mild, but it still had plenty of heat (for my taste).All in all, it was a very pleasant surprise and we will return when in the area again!

The absolute best Chinese in Southern Indiana! The folks are so genuine and helpful. The kitchen staff is sharp and attentive. The server doesn't miss a beat on any order. Their prices are more than fair considering the high quality food. I've tried quite a few different entrees and haven't had a bad one yet. Sweet n sour chicken, Orange Chicken, Kung Pao, they got it all. Their Lo Mein and Fried Rice is high quality. No cheap rice or noodles here. The spice levels are my favorite part. 1-5 on heat level. A 3 is perfect. Really brings the entrees to life. All the food is extremely traditional and very well done. The soups are great and the egg rolls are dropped fresh with every order. All the food is made to order and comes out hot and fresh! You don't have to worry about getting food that's been sitting around all day. Apart from the food and service the inside is very decent. Solid menus, tables, and atmosphere. What's not to Love? This is definitely one of the most well kept and greatly ran chinese restaurants I've ever been too, especially around here. If you're in the mood for chinese, China Bistro will not disappoint!

Better than 3 star/not really a 4 star. I placed an order for delivery. The upside-the food arrived promptly, it arrived piping hot and the vegetables were nice and crisp. Portions were substantial. Pieces of chicken, pork & shrimp were all very large. The downside-shrimp with garlic sauce was sweet. I've never had a sweet garlic sauce. The hunan pork was supposed to be spicy. I even asked for extra spice. It was bland at best. And the chicken with mixed veggies was indistinguishable from the "garlic"sauce. China Bistro isn't worthy of 5 star reviews. Not until they really deliver on the different flavors of Hunan, Szechuan, Mongolian and so on. China Bidtro is a notch above the common Chinese restaurant with the potential to be far better.
