This is a $6 kids meal. It will easily feed two small children. Believe it or not, half of the fries are already eaten in this picture.

This is a great place to buy some good chicken and waffle fries! Get good portions of food for a reasonable price!

The food is served hot. The serving sizes are great value for the price which is hard to find these days! I love their specialty sauces like their cilantro jalapeno house sauce. They sell huge cookies that are cooked perfectly - crispy on the outside and soft in the middle.I have been very pleased with the service. They're kind and patient and they bring the food out to you, but don't demand tips (which always makes me want to give one). The ambience is that of an old diner. It's not flashy and it's no new looking, but there is a "hole in the wall" charm to the place.

I saw a short article about a new fried chicken restaurant being located in the old Lee's Famous Recipe on St. Joe Avenue. I saw some people had given it good reviews so I was looking forward to my visit. I think they've only been open for about a week so I'll not go to hard on them for running out of side items (no mashed potatoes & gravy, no mac and cheese, no corn on the cob). However, outside of the running out of items, the food was sub-par.The fried chicken is battered and a LOT of extra batter is left on the chicken. So much that it was very unappetizing. The crust was not flaky or crumbly; it was more like a hard protective coating that was almost impossible to cut through. I ended up just removing it and throwing it away. I like some extra crust but this was ridiculous. I also had potato wedges which were very large and not that good as they were thick and had coating but not crispy at all. The potatoes are cut too large to get crisp. The slaw was okay but nothing special. One annoying thing was that the soft drinks are prepared by the cashier. She doesn't really have time to do that but I suspect it's to limit refills. The restaurant was very busy and there were always at least three people in line to place orders. They did get the food out pretty quickly so no complaints there but the food is not good at all. You can get much better fried chicken at any tavern in town that is far superior and costs no more than the Chicken Stop. Nice guys and a friendly disposition but the chicken is not good. I had high hopes but they really fell short.

serving trash to customers. Was good when they first opened. Now chicken sandwich is tiny and mostly hard breading. potato wedges have also changed to the point that you can't eat them. won't go back and definitely no longer recommend!
