Cute little coffee shop in downtown Washington. I liked the eclectic, comfy atmosphere, and the drink prices were excellent! As it was crazy hot, we had an iced chai latte - good flavor but not completely mixed - there was still some powder. I also tried an iced vanilla coffee and it was perfect - not too sweet, excellent coffee flavor. Five stars for that drink. All in all, a nice stop if you find yourself in downtown Washington, IN

When I visit a new town I always have to find the local coffee hang out.My visit to Cherry Ghost was great! It was a hot, humid day and I asked for a recommendation on the iced drinks. I absolutely loved the iced white chocolate coffee. Yum!

Wow! What a hidden gem!I'm in town from Austin, TX visiting family and found this place downtown. Such a cool funky place with good vibes and great coffee! The inside is such an awesome mix of music posters, travel and bumper stickers, and wall art. Definitely a place I was pleasantly surprised to find here in Washington. The Wi-Fi is also blazingly fast (about 100 mbps) and I was able to sit and enjoy a cafe americano while I got some work done. The food also looked and smelled good but I didn't try any (the breakfast especially looked amazing). The espresso was excellent so I'm positive their lattes and mixed drinks are just as good as well. A must try if you're searching for a coffee or a place to work/hang out- be it a specialty latte or a cup of regular drip!

I was running behind on my schedule and so I decided to grab a quick lunch to go while downtown in Washington. Turns out this place is known for its organic food and drinks, primarily for its coffee items. I saw on Yelp that they carried wraps and though they weren't listed on the menu board, I asked and was directed to a small cooler that had two types: vegetarian and Organic Turkey. I grabbed the latter of the two along with an unsweetened Iced Tea and soon back on the road, making up time on my schedule. The turkey wrap was filled with fresh ingredients including a bright green spinach. There were some condiments to maintain the moisture in the sandwich. Although not a very big wrap, it had good flavor and was enough to tide me over. The coffee shop has an eclectic interior and has a label as "the coolest place in town." It was pretty quiet at lunch time with several folks set up in nooks or booths working away . The staff was friendly and speedy...so much so that I forgot to ask where such an unusual name came from.Fortunately, I heard from the shop which said that the name came from the original owners who were fans of the group "Wilco". The song "Theologians" contained the words "Cherry Ghost". Interviews with the band suggest that it means something that is fondly remembered. Seems fitting for the place.Review #3183

I wonderful little place filled with magic and the smell of coffee. It's not often you find a place like this in such a small one track minded town. But if you feel like youre misunderstood and there's no place for you I can guarantee you might feel a little better inside the cherry ghost. Be sure to make it in on a Wednesday evening for open mic night. And drink espresso until your confidence comes out . When the muffins are fresh they are good, like most anything. If you try it fresh you might like it . I like the wraps in the fridge , they are filling. The seating is unorthodoxed, a mixture of chairs and couches, giving the ghost a very humble, homey feeling, Like I said, if you feel out of place, head to the cherry ghost, it's kind of like sitting down at a good friends house for coffee.

Every time I'm in town I have to pop in here at least once to grab a quick coffee. They have greats roasts and sweet organic treats! The staff is great and it is a super clean place. Their occasional live music is always very interesting and a great time. If you're looking for an affordable organic coffee, this is the place you want to check out!

This place is a little hidden gem and the downtown area. If you are there on the right evening there will be live music by the locals. The food is not too great but the coffee is good and the atmosphere is, I promise, like something you've never experienced before. I wouldn't come deep off the inner state for it if you just passing through but if you happen to be in the area is worth stopping for.
