ently purchased a dryer from Chenoweth Appliances and had a rather disappointing experience. I bought the dryer on a Thursday and scheduled it for delivery the following Tuesday. Initially, everything seemed to be going smoothly. They called to inform me of the delivery window, and two delivery people arrived on time, although only one came inside to handle the installation.The current space for my dryer is quite small, requiring the removal of the washer first. The technician was kind enough to replace the washer hoses(free of charge) commenting that they were in "nasty" condition, which I appreciated at the time. However, this seemingly considerate gesture turned into a nightmare.The next day, we discovered that the valve connected to the washer hookup was leaking, causing water to continuously spray all over the wall, floor, the back of my washer, and the brand new dryer. I promptly called Chenoweth Appliances and spoke with Kristen, who seemed confused about the leak and questioned why the hoses had been replaced during a DRYER installation. She then insisted that the issue was due to our old valve and was not their responsibility. She seemingly brushed it off and said they would send someone out...the delivery guy... to look it at...At this point, I was very frustrated and asked my husband to call. He tried to explain the problem, but Kristen said she didn't appreciate being "talked down" or " his attitude" and quickly directed us to the owner's voicemail.... Which was full and we were disconnected. There was no yelling, cussing, or name-calling involved--just a straightforward account of the problem caused by their installation. Kristen, your lack of empathy to understand that, yes--we aren't in the cheeriest of times because of all the WATER DAMAGE, ceases to amaze me.What followed was a complete lack of accountability and zero follow-up from anyone at Chenoweth Appliances. As a small business owner myself, I had hoped for better service by shopping locally, but this experience has changed my perspective. The numerous disclaimers on their website should have been a red flag.Now, I'm left with a hefty plumbing bill due to their negligence and poor customer service. Buyer beware--I regret to say I won't be supporting this small business again. Next time, I'll be taking my business to Lowe's or Home Depot.

Another major appliance purchase means it's time for an updated review. As you can tell by all my previous reviews we are quite happy with Chenoweth Appliance. We always enter the business and ask for Danny Lyons. He really thoroughly knows his business!The current purchase was for a new dishwasher. We have always had a KitchenAid and been very happy with that brand. Prior to visiting Chenoweth we did our homework online and found that black appliances are becoming hard to come by. The current trend is stainless steel or black colored stainless steel. I didn't want either but my husband thought I might not have much choice. This is where Danny's knowledge comes into play. We explained our desire and walked through the showroom to the area that displayed KitchenAid dishwashers. It turns out that the very top of the line did not come in black. My husband got to see the black stainless and realized why I wasn't a fan. Danny explained to us that KitchenAid did have a model in black that was excellent but not the very top of the line. Danny's knowledge went even further as he thought the business had one in stock. If not the purchase would probably take three or more months to get. I didn't mind hand washing and was going to hold out for exactly what I wanted. Danny and my husband went up to his desk on the second level to confirm if his memory was correct. They came back down to the main showroom with the good news that they had one and confirmed the purchase with me. Danny offered us a very fair price and we agreed upon the purchase. Danny and my husband went back upstairs and completed the transaction.Several days later the installer Shane called to confirm a date and time for the delivery. Chenoweth hires installers that keep the store image positive. Shane arrived with the dishwasher on the agreed upon date and time. He was excellent in the care of installation and put down Teflon sheets over our floor to insure no scratches or gouges would occur. The installation went smooth and Shane removed our old appliance.We have now run the dishwasher twice and we're extremely happy with it's performance! Thanks for another fantastic experience.

we bought a clothes washer/dryer combo without even having to go into the store, very friendly service and delivery was right on time. Would highly recommend them; very pleased with our purchase and happy to support local businesses!

I did it! I finally pulled the trigger on appliances. It only took me two years of consideration and my husband telling me the dishwasher wasn't working to put the fear of water damage in my soul. After working with big box stores in the past and being royally frustrated and disappointed in their service, I knew 2020 was the year to go local. We'd purchased a washer and dryer set at Chenoweth Appliances many moons ago and decided to return. We made a couple of trips to browse and understand their inventory and pricing. Sales associates do offer to assist but were never overbearing. If you go and work with someone, make sure you keep the person's name and give them credit for the future purchase. On our last trip we met with "Steve", the associate that had helped my husband narrow down options. Steve was friendly and helpful from the first to the last moment. He walked me around the store and pointed out the appliances on our list, making sure to explain the price and feature differences between models. It's important - when you're looking on your own there's so many details you miss that should be obvious. I feel confident in the appliances we picked and that we will appreciate the upgrades. We ordered a microwave, refrigerator, stove and dishwasher. Stock times and delivery are all over the board but manufacturing is at an all time high, which isn't the fault of Chenoweth Appliances. Steve was honest with us about delays he's been experiencing and that we needed to take the noted arrival times as an estimate only. I left the store excited and with no buyer remorse. I'll update my review once all appliances have arrived and been installed. Chenoweth Appliances also offers haul away for any appliances we do not plan to keep or store.

I recently purchased a Speed Queen washer and dryer. Mr. Lyons was extremely helpful. Delivery and installation was quick and easy. This was a first time purchase at Chenoweth Appliances. I will no longer be shopping at the big box stores. All future appliances will be purchased at Chenoweth. I couldn't be happier.

I purchased 50 microwaves as well as 50 stoves, refrigerators, and dishwashers at Chenowith Appliances for some apartments in 2019 and 2020. As of today 9 microwaves have quit working (18% failure rate). All I get from Wayne at Chenowith is " well - they are made in Korea - nothing we can do". I said maybe you should quit selling them. After further conversation he said write a letter addressed to him, so I did on May 13th, 2022. Still waiting on a response nearly 2 months later. What great customer service!?!I will not do business with this company again. Kennedy Place, LLC

Wonderful delivery men, knew what they were doing! Believe I am going to love my Speed Queen Washing Machine! Loved that I could order it over the phone with Wayne Lyons too. Did my comparison shopping over the phone and machine comparisons with reviews in Consumer Reports. My husband and I are extremely pleased with our experience at Chenoweth. We were impressed with the courtesy and professionalism of Mary Kay, who answered all of our questions and was very knowledgeable about washing machines, and with the competitive pricing we found at Chenoweth. While two other large chain retail stores advertised washing machines which are unavailable for an extended period of time (weeks or even months), Chenoweth is delivering our washer within three days (purchased on Saturday, delivering on Tuesday). We will go back to Chenoweth when we make our next appliance purchase.

After looking all over town for a specific stove, I called Chenoweth and ask if they had what I was looking for. They not only had it in stock, it was also the cheapest I had found anywhere! Steve was wonderful to work with as well. Next time I need an appliance I'm starting here!!

Needed a new dishwasher. I've been watching prices for quite a while. Mine wasn't drying anymore and then it was falling forward when the door was open.Saw a Presidents sale on Facebook for Home Depot. It was a good price. I called Chenoweth Appliances because they've always had good prices and excellent service. I knew which one I wanted. They beat Home Depot easily and there weren't a bunch of added costs. Within a couple of days I had a new dishwasher and again, I never even had to step in the store. It got good reviews. The installer was very skilled and showed me how to use it, which settings were best for what I was looking for and he was very friendly. Chenoweth makes appliance shopping easy. The second time I was in a bind with appliances and they got me fixed up with great prices and fast delivery. This time was in Covid and it was still made easy! I never even had to go in the store. I will always look to them for help. They've got great prices and excellent service. I couldn't be happier.Thank you!
