My husband and I visited Chateau de Pique for the first time. We were on our way to Indianapolis for the weekend and were enjoying stops along the Indiana Wine Trail. The winery itself is quite picturesque, so make sure you take time to enjoy the grounds during your visit. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly and happy to stand and chat during your tasting. Chateau de Pique offers a selection of dry, semi-sweet, and sweet wines, so you're sure to find something to please your palate.

Nice venue just on rhe outskirts of town, just folliow the GPS and come out to enjoy some live music (call to check schedules) and try some enjoyable bottles of wine. Many are lighter and sweeter wines, even some with fun names. Enjoyed '50 shades of Red" and one for the road. They have wine slushies, sangria and bottles to try.Vineyards are expansive rows with lots of grapes on the vines this summer.Worthy of a visit in this small town.

We were very sad to see this place was closed today, but absolutely amazed when the wine maker walked over to us (while in the parking lot trying to figure out where else to go) and offered to let us come in for samplings. He was very friendly, provided us with the story of each wine, and let us sample anything we wanted. All of the couples walked away with between 3-7 bottles of wine. If we didn't live 4 hours, we would definitely come back!

My wife and I came here to attend a graduation party for our niece. The venue was welcoming. Friendly staff. Excellent vintner. Would definitely return for a private meal. After sampling, bought some bottles to take home.

Drove 4 hrs to attend a charity event yesterday for SICA-southern Indiana center for the arts. We drove our RV and stayed at Ceraland 25 min away in Columbus- great place btw. We drove our RV to the event because we did not tow a car this time-new RV, Mercedes Navion 24 ft.When we arrived we were told that RV camping is not allowed for this event-I got out and explained that we drove the RV but are staying elsewhere. Then we met TODD STOREY. He walked up aggressively and told us to back up and get out! I tried to explain that we just wanted to park and could park anywhere they told us. He again yelled- "get out or I am calling the cops!!"Then I said "you are just not a very nice man" and he yelled"one more word from you and I am calling the cops and you are not coming in!!" The other staffers just stood there and did nothing to de-escalate this lunatic that was screaming at me (5'2" and not an intimidating figure). Got back in the RV and drove across the street to a private home-the woman had come out of her house to see what the screaming and yelling was about- that's how loud this guy was yelling. I told her the story and she said-"oh I know Todd and I absolutely believe that he screamed at you"-small town apparently everyone knows Todd has a temper-but then why hire him to interact with guests?? Anyway, we paid this lady $50 to park on her driveway and walked across to the venue. When we went back there was a woman there who apologized for Todd's behavior but honestly I have never been treated like this anywhere. They then even told us that we COULD park the RV on their property- but we thought the RV would be safer away from Todd- not knowing what this man is capable of doing.I spoke to the owner of the vineyard Greg Pardieck about his employee's behavior and he said he would speak to Todd. Today, we went to lunch in Seymour before we left. I asked some of the locals about Todd Storey and they all confirmed that this man has a temper- again small town so everyone knows everyone. This man should not be allowed any access to the public. Btw- he runs the campsites Thru a site called Hipcamp- he's Todd S- so be careful!!

We rented the barn for a celebration of life ceremony and found that they will continue to sell wine and serve customers during the event in the same rented space. I had directly and specifically asked the employee and their customers to please be quiet while we briefly read a remembrance poem and a prayer to our guests and was ignored. They continued to talk during about the mediocre wine during our intimate and personal moment. They should have their own space for that and not where the event is being held and rented. We had an open bar for our guest as well so I am not sure why selling one or two bottles of wine would take priority from a business perspective. In addition, we were quoted one price and then the price was increased when we went to pay. Make sure you get quotes in writing and ask about them continuing their business inside of your rented space if you think this will be an issue. There isn't much more in the area as far as venues and it is a quaint little place with a relaxing atmosphere. Minor issues with professionalism and expectations- just be aware.
