Food was amazing, service was amazing, it was a great night. The ambiance was homey and reminded me of my grandpas house, i love it.

Our families ate here this week for the first time; the staff was attentive and friendly .I chose the 8 oz sirloin, medium well. It came out overcooked and dry with not one drop of moisture; the center was dry and gray. I opted to try the grilled tenderloin next. It was served cooked to order and was piping hot. I'd never seen any grilled tenderloin that looked like this one!! But it was edible.Families' steaks were all over cooked but it ruins your entire meal if everyone's done eating and you're waiting on your updated order.It was a unanimous decision by all to never eat here again!

When traveling through IL, I try to stop at places that are off the beaten path for lunch. Today, I stopped at this little gem. I was going to get the ribeye sandwich but the hostess was eating her lunch, a piece of grilled chicken that looked good. I commented and she said they have the best grilled chicken. So I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich with a baked potato and a piece of chocolate pie. Let me tell you: somebody in that kitchen knows what they are doing! That chicken was delicious, juicy and well seasoned. No, really, I avoid grilled chicken because it can be so flavorless and disappointing but this chicken was amazing. Even the baked potato was well cooked and flavorful (I know, it's a baked potato...I can't explain it, I just know what my taste buds were telling me.) Chocolate pie was on a homemade crust, not too sweet but more of a pudding consistency vs custard so not a cooked pie filling but still delicious. I was all set to hate on the whipped topping instead of meringue but for the first time, I liked it! The chocolate filling was less sweet so when it mixed with the sweet whipped topping, it gave a different flavor profile. I mean, somebody in that kitchen knows what they are doing! Service was friendly and she certainly steered me right on that chicken. Very reasonably priced. I'd say if you are in the area, or even if you have to drive a few miles out of your way, it's worth it! I know I'll be back!

Traveling down I-64 and Googled somewhere to eat and this seemed to be the only game in (several) town(s)...and it was excellent! If you're not a local, expect to be looked at and whispered about, but in a curious -not bad- way. I get the feeling not many out-of-towners stop in. The steak was excellent and well-cooked at medium-rare, service was friendly, and prices reasonable. If I'm ever back this way I'll make a point to stop back by!

We ate here for Mother's Day this past weekend and the service was just first class. Even though we arrived late, we were treated wonderfully by Regan. This girl deserves a medal for handling everything with grace and humor. She was amazing at keeping everything going on a crazy busy day! The food was delicious and we enjoyed our meal, especially my 97 year old mother in law.

Drove 60 miles to have a catfish dinner only to find 1 of 2 catfish filet dinners were satisfactory. 2 thin filets and way over cooked. Also, to find the price had increased by 25% from 6 months ago. The excuse was "the fish has gone way up". Also discovered a "new" charge of 50 cents for using my credit card. "REALLY"?
