I love a good deal, and the drive-in always feels like a great bargain when you're trying to take the entire family to the movies. We loaded up my car with 3 adults and 2 children and got in to this quaint little drive-in for the $25 carload special. What a deal!We had packed up our favorite snacks and drinks, since most of us have food allergies and special dietary needs. So I can't speak of the concession stand. But it sounded like their fried donuts are a big hit. The people on both sides of us went back a few times for more, and their children cheered as their sweet treats were delivered. After the first movie, they announced that if anyone wanted more donuts, now was the time to get them, as they were close to running out for the evening. The rest of the drive-in seemed very well kept. I'm used to the drive-in downtown, with nothing but gravel. This drive-in only has one screen, but is much nicer. The lush grass is perfect for spreading out a blanket and sprawling out while you snack and take in a movie. My girls absolutely loved the playground that's available, and I loved that it kept them occupied while we waited for the movie to start. We didn't realize they do not want anyone on the playground once the movie starts, so we allowed them to go swing a few times with the promise to be quiet. A few other children did so a few times, and I thought it was perfect for wiggly young children who struggle with sitting still for a 2 hour movie. They never played long before running back to the car. This was also a screening of a kids' movie, so I thought it was perfectly acceptable. However, I can see the danger that it may present, being so dark. At one point, several children ended up playing there and were getting a little rowdy. An employee came hurrying thru, apologizing to everyone in their path about the children "disturbing the movie" (oopsie. My bad.) and kindly told the children that the playground was closed. They were very polite about it, and now we know better for next time. We will definitely be back. This was a really enjoyable and pocketbook friendly family experience.

Update! After my post about their Coke machine needing to be cleaned, the business owner quickly addressed it, and now it has been cleaned. I'm happy to hear that and looking forward to visiting them soon.

I've driven by this little drive-in dozens of times, but this is the first time I've ever taken in a flick. It seems like a neat little family-run business. The parking area is set up with little mounds so you can position your vehicle for the best view. The snack bar (and restroom) is a little rundown, but it gets the job done. The popcorn is hot and fresh.

I saw Angela J's review today about Center Brook Drive-In. I remember going here for the first time in 1997 to see Independence Day. They had the speakers that hang on your car window and just remember it being a neat experience. I'm glad it's still open and that people are able to experience drive-in's still. This one is located in Martinsville right off of 67. It's nostalgic and need to go more often! Thanks Angela for the tips and the fried donuts sound delicious! But, you can't go wrong with popcorn either! Going to have to plan a trip soon!!! :-)

It has been probably at least a decade since I had been here. Over the weekend we went to see Aladdin and Detective Pikachu. I was pleased with the clarity of the radio station for playing the movie and the projection on the screen. When coming in they gave away tickets for a prize drawing of candy. The only problems were NOT the fault of the business! People were coming in with their bright lights on driving in and even just stopped and shone their headlights into the side windows of a van infront of us-rude yo. And my vehicle has a timer on its auxiliary use so I had to keep turning it back on which would turn on its low power running lights, sorry guys if I annoyed anyone

Update. As a reply to what the owner said. I stand by my review. At the time all of what I had written was correct. To me,still cleaning up 10 min. from the night before is unprofessional, especially since that days long line of customers could see it. Customer safety should be #1 on the list, could have put a sign or roped it off or something to prevent others from getting injured. At the time I went, you had to buy a pass to bring in food, they even had signs. And I do not drive a newer model car.

This place has scam going! Don't buy the refillable popcorn plastic buckets or cokes. We bought them both a few weeks ago when we purchased them we were told if you bring them back you could refill them for a cheap price 3.00 for coke and 4.00 for popcorn. So this weekend we brought them back. They said no you can't refill them, that you have to buy a new refillable popcorn plastic bucket and refillable plastic cup for drink each time and that they have different ones every weekend and you can only refill them same night. So we bought and new one of each. I went to refill the bucket of popcorn cuz we have 4 kids with us. What did they tell me oh, we can't refill that due to Covid 19. I said then why are you selling them telling people that they can refill them. That's a scam you got going. Then when she saw that I wasn't buying her scam she refilled it for 4.00. This place is busted. While I was ordering the air conditioner unit was dripping water on my head. Go to another drive in. This place is trashy.
