Carolyn's Country Pizzaria

Carolyn's is a hidden treasure. This place originally opened in 1992 and quickly became a local favorite. The menu is fairly limited but the food is all excellent. They are mostly known for their pizza but also have great sandwiches such as Strombolis, Italian Beef, etc. They also have a few dinner options to choose from like lasagna and spaghetti among others. They do also have a kids menu for the little ones. Another highlight of Carolyn's is the salad bar and homemade soups. You can have just the soup and salad bar for your meal or add it to a meal for a discounted price. Finally, if you go you must have a slice of homemade cheesecake. There are usually a few different choices, and they are all amazing! The service at Carolyn's is always very friendly and welcoming and you will truly enjoy the atmosphere - very family and group friendly and nice and cozy.Please note they are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Really love this place as a quiet treat for the family! The views of the wildlife and the warm atmosphere make it feel like dinner at home. I love their deserts, it's 90% of the reason I love going there!

Love this place. I've gone since I was little and it's never disappointed, they always give you a ton of pepperoncini's! which come on you normally get one for an entire pizza at other places so I love that they don't go skimpy. And they make sure there is always a pepperoni on every slice so you never have inconsistent pizza. They are the best And pizza is my favorite food so I'm picky when it comes to eating out at different pizza places but this one has always been a favorite.

We came from Champaign Illinois to Holiday World for the weekend and found this place on Yelp! The drive there was so fun and out in the middle of nowhere....TOTALLY WORTH IT! Loved the place and we will be back next year!

Great hidden gem pizzeria and eatery. Great country setting with unique wooden decor. Food and service fantastic. Prices reasonable. Bottles of beer available. Salad bar as well. Worth the drive, especially on the weekend. Close to Tennyson. Try it and I doubt you will be disappointed. Their pizza combos are amazing with a great crust as well.
