Cafe Arazu

This was a recommendation from a customer while traveling with my job. It's located in a darling little town called Newburgh. The entire town was festive with Christmas lights which added to the ambience of this cute restaurant.I was greeted by the hostess. They had a stand set up with warm cider and cinnamon. They told me to help myself. I really liked this touch. I thought it was very hometown and I appreciated it the night that I was there. They had a special where you could try quite a few items on the menu I decided to order that Based on the recommendation from my server, everything was very good. It was a lot of meat for me so next time I would probably go for something that had a little bit more vegetables or salad. The service is what made the evening special. My server was so friendly and delightful. The hostess was just as well. You should give this place a try when traveling to Evansville.

Cafe Arazu is a true gem. The kindest most welcoming staff helped us celebrate a birthday lunch on a random Tuesday. We love Mediterranean food and everything we've had is delectable. To start, the Cuban Cigars are an automatic order every visit. The hummus appetizer is pretty much too thanks to the best pita on the planet. On the lunch menu, the Chicken Shawarma is a savory favorite and the soup of the day is always worth trying. The dinner specials they turn out are incredible and warrant watching social media for to see what's on the menu, especially on the weekends.

I Love this place!!! I love the atmosphere and the food is incredible. Get a reservation because they are always busy but I love the outdoor sitting in nice weather.

Just a little lunch date in Newburgh, Indiana. Quaint little establishment with excellent food and food choices. Nice cocktail selection, too. Service was excellent. Outside seating available. Interesting specials and great dessert tray. Get the French press coffee at the end of your meal.

It's been over a year since I've eaten here, and met a friend for lunch around 12:15 this month. I ordered my favorite, Chicken, Spinach and Artichoke Wrap. This is grilled chicken, tomatoes and feta, wrapped in a creamy spinach artichoke cheese sauce in grilled lavash. I'm not big on wraps but the lavash is so tender. I paid extra for a side of Red Cabbage and Napa Slaw. Everything was perfect - even better then the last time I was there. We sat out back on the screened porch which was pleasant, but as my last several visits, the service is slow. However, we had a wonderful visit while waiting for our food. Just be aware that you need to allow for plenty of time. Other than that, this is a great place to dine and I'll be back.

This little gem is perfect for lunch! The staff were very friendly and we enjoyed our food! The day we went they were very busy, but you still felt nice and cozy. Our meals were delicious

Went at lunch time on a Saturday. Started with the spinach and artichoke dip which was excellent. The food was fresh and tasty. Service was excellent from our waiter James.

Food was amazing! I ordered the Steak Medallions and my wife ordered the Gyro Dinner Platter. Incredibly flavorful and seasoned to perfection! The service was great and it was such a cute, small town place to get dinner!

Lovely location by the water.All the stall were very attentive & kind.Food was amazing & great variety on the menu.Everything was delicious & fresh. Make sure to get a dessert to go.

Cafe Arazu is an old brick icehouse on old Newburgh. We made reservations in the early afternoon and were received promptly upon arrival. This place reeks personality, ambiance, you pick the adjective! After cocktails, and they have a nice little bar area, we ordered "Cuban Cigars" as our appetizer,a delightful finger food that was just enough for two. Our meal was served promptly and both were delicious! Mine, "The Sultan", provided a very generous portion of marinated steak along with a mixed/minced lamb and beef combination, both prepared as Kabobs along with sautéed vegetables and I added some mashed potatoes to satisfy my southern upbringing. Our excellent server tempted us with a plateful of homemade desserts an we indulged in a slice of excellent double chocolate cake. Our whole experience was delightful and we will return when the days are longer so we can experience the back patio with a scenic view of the Ohio River. Don't miss this charming venue!
