There was quite a big selection of teas for my husband. We were too full for dessert. Maybe next time!My only minor gripe is the charge for valet parking. I'm of the belief that when you are at a fine dining establishment, valet parking should be free (with a tip, of course)."

"I drive from Harrison to come here for breakfast and/or coffee pretty regularly. Their avacado toast is the best I've ever had. The garlic aioli on it is ridiculously good. (You can actually buy a jar of it--highly recommend.) I haven't had a bad meal, and I've tried like 4-5 different things. The staff ("Mom" who owns it with her grown kids) are hardworking, accommodating, friendly, sweet, and helpful. They're always doing yummy seasonal changes, listening to customers, and clearly put so much heart into ALL their locations around the area. "Mom" is always working on something when I'm in there. I love her energy.Oh! Also, the pastries in the case are to die for. They usually sell out, but that egg nog puff pastry they have around Christmas is fire!Great place to grab coffee and work. Lots of places to lounge and the interior has a great vibe. I've been meaning to go to their other location near me because apparently they have different menu items that are equally delicious.FOREVER a customer!"

"I've eaten at 211 Clover Lane twice, and as I firmly believe in second chances, waited until after the second dining experience to write a review. My first impression is still valid. 211 Clover Lane is... fine. The front of house staff are pleasant enough. The servers are adequate. The food is okay. Neither experience wowed me. And this would be more acceptable, except the ambience and prices suggest one should embark on a dining experience at 211 Clover Lane with higher expectations.The fried green tomatoes lacked flavor ($13). The 211 house salad was at its core a handful of greens with an uninspired vinaigrette ($12). There was no vegan option for the main course, however after much hemming and hawing the server agreed to ask chef if they could create one, which they did - pasta topped with tomatoes and basil ($28). The pasta taste and texture suggested box over house-made, and although the kitchen was liberal with black pepper, there were no other flavors that stood out.In regards to service, our water glasses were often empty, and it took quite a while to receive the check, despite the restaurant being less than half occupied. I wish I had better things to say, but sometimes even second chances don't work out the way we hope."

"The B.A. Colonial is in the historic Colonial Gardens building, but it is well updated and modern. The menu is full of classic American items but it's all pretty good! Service is also good. There's a great patio too. Andddd there's a venue space upstairs!Additionally, B.A. does all sorts of cool stuff. Just this week, they're going a fundraiser with decor their customers painted for Derby, and if you took in a ticket from Churchill Downs yesterday, you could get a free old fashioned. They are super involved in the community and doing lots of engaging things, which makes it a five star for me!"

"Oh my goodness, where to start. Cute little place with outdoor seating in the heart of Covington. My daughter and I sat outside on the patio and it was a nice night. Plenty of shade from the building next door and under the umbrellas.First off, LOVE the music. Frank Sinatra and Rat Pack days. I am a fan of Matt Dusk so I thoroughly enjoyed the music through our meal.We didn't venture inside the building very far, but the significance of the history is pretty cool. There is a historical marker which tells the story of John W. Stevenson.Dave was our server and was very attentive throughout the meal. Our water glasses were always kept full. Now on to the food. We started with the meatball appetizer and it was delicious. The sauce is very tasty. Not spicy. Good size for 1-3 people. Three meatballs and three slices of bread.I had been reading the reviews on Yelp and kept seeing the short ribs recommended. I whole heartily agree! So tender, wow, and the flavor, delicious. It was one of those meals that you eat slowly so you can enjoy the flavor. The risotto was perfect along with the carrots. Cooked just right and fun with the different color carrots.My daughter had the chicken fettuccine alfredo and it was very good too. Different flavor to their alfredo sauce, not bland like most restaurants. The sauce was just the right consistency, not to thin, not to thick. The chicken was very tender and had great flavor. The only things she wished was that it would have come with a piece of bread to soak the sauce up with.We probably shouldn't have, but we did order dessert. The bread pudding, again, wow. Sweet but not too sweet. Served warm. Plenty large enough to share.We so enjoyed our meal and experience and will definitely be back, especially to take friends or out of town guests."

Some has been great some not. These taco were not octopus was microwaved to thaw before grilling making them tough like no chew tough. I also had a crab and shrimp enchilada. Crab was full prob was it's not real and two shrimp. Lack of help but that's everywhere right now."

This restored building is very cool with multiple rooms for dining including above the main entrance. With free street parking out front, I was able to grab a spot and proceed to order at the long side of the L-shaped counter (pastries are displayed on the short side facing the door.)I decided to go with a Reuben sandwich that comes with potato salad and chips (odd combo). I also ordered a Peachberry Crumble from the pastry side while waiting and an iced Pekoe Tea. They have utensils on a display at the far end of the counter.The crumble was a perfect blend of berries and peach flavors and was more of a "bar" than a crumble since it held together nicely. Great taste. The Pekoe Tea was refreshing and just hit the spot after all that walking!Before long, one of the staff brought out my plate and additional utensils and napkins. The Reuben was huge! It came on diagonally slice marble rye and the sauerkraut was pickled with a tangy tart flavor. Really good, but I decided to save half of it for later. The potato salad serving was rather small, but it was delicious. Just a bit of crunch on the potatoes (not sure what they did, but it was good!) The chips were lightly seasoned and were tasty (not just salt). Nice crispy crunch there too!I was really surprised how much I enjoyed the meal and liked that even in the hours after normal lunch, they were still having folks drop in. (Note that they stop serving lunch at 3.)Definitely a place to check out if you are in Vincennes.Review #2974"
