"We went here for our anniversary and it was AMAZING! Amber was our server and she was kind, knowledgeable, and attentive. The gentleman filling our water glass and bussing our table was also incredibly nice. They had a small table in the corner for us with linens, champagne, and anniversary card from the staff. My husband and I both come from fine dining management and this place seems like a great operation . Overall GREAT experience! Visited 2/13/25"
"One of Louisville's finer restaurants, this place will be a great dinner for folks. All the meat entrees were a finer quality beef selections. The sides and desserts all were excellent. Maybe a (4) dollar sign level of pricing. But at least you won't be disappointed in what comes to the table."
Smoked gouda cheese, crispy onions, chipotle aioli, brioche bun, lettuce and tomatoes.

"Food, ambience, and service are second to none! The 9 Oz filet is outstanding, seared with a proprietary blend of rub spices. The side dishes are also top notch!"
"Oh my god! So very good. Andre was exquisite in his service! Food was perfectly prepared. You must have the bread so awesome. Tuna tartar superb some the best we have had ever.Steak and Scallops were to die for.Great cheesecake and coffee ended a wonderful dining experience. Highly recommended."
"It's seldom that a restaurant clicks all of the buttons for me, but this one did! Decor- upscale and tasteful- check; Service -impeccable - attentive but not bothersome- check; Food - OMG!!! - checkMy husband and I thoroughly enjoyed a special meal last evening. I had the 12-oz ribeye with caramelized Brussels sprouts. Before I get to those, let me mention the circle of rolls that came with a tallow butter candle burning in the center. That butter (and the herbs below it) seeped into those rolls and that literally became a party in my mouth. On the the steak. The steak was melt-in-your mouth tender and cooked to perfection. The caramelized Brussels sprouts were by far the best I have had in Louisville . They were loaded with maple bacon chips, candied pecans and a delicious balsamic dressing. I can't say enough about this dining experience. We will certainly be back. The establishment is located off Westport Rd on Herr Lane and there is plenty of dedicated parking."
"Brendon's Catch was fantastic. The food was outstanding. Flavors were amazing. Not greasy. Good size portions. I didn't think I had room for desert but our fabulous waiter Jamie suggested the butter cake and it was simply amazing. It was big enough for two but I managed to eat most of it myself lol Everyone was pleasant and friendly from the moment we walked in. The atmosphere was great for date night or a relaxing night out with friends. I could see someone renting the whole place for an event as well. Sorry no pics because I like to enjoy my evening more than I like to document it. We will definitely be back."
"Everyone's steak was perfect and extremely tasty! Our server Hannah was amazing. She had a great sense of humor and was on point with her service. Our Valentines Day was spectacular and an overall great evening. We would definitely visit again when we pass through again."
"Got the Barvarian Pretzel for the appetizer. Bone in Ribeye with baked potato, side salad with ranch and Brussel sprouts and the cheese cake for desert. Service was exceptional. Quick and friendly. Very nice atmosphere. Dont let Tavern in the name fool you. Blinkers is awesome. The bone in Ribeye was one of the best steaks I've ever had. Cooked to perfection. Add the garlic butter. I can't get over how good it was. Thier homemade ranch was excellent. The Pretzel was huge salty and good. We will be back for sure. Oh oh. The cheesecake was some of the best I've had."
"This place was absolutely amazing. We went during happy hour and had the lobster shrimp and sushi! It is such an amazing low place in the little town. We'll definitely be back."
"My wife and I have been here twice now and have heard mixed reviews from just about everyone, some people raving and others so disappointed with the food, the price. The good: service is on point. Friendly servers, host, and staff. Manager/supervisor came by to ask how we were doing. I appreciate that touch. The appetizers (especially Blue Dog bread!) were delicious and well done. The bad: the entrees are not that good. This last time we went and got the Caribbean chicken - my wife said it was the most disappointing meal she'd had all month (it was a short month :)). The other meal was better but for what we paid ($100 for both) it was not worth the money. The ambience is great. It's a hopping place."
"This place is absolutely outstanding. First the motif is horse racing which totally fits in Lexington. It's just a classic old school steakhouse in many ways. The food is absolutely scrumptious. The crab cakes were some of the best I have ever had. Mostly crab and not filler. I also had the Bourbon Fillet for my main course. I am not usually a fillet fan but this came with shrimp and grits as well. Just an amazing piece of meet and the shrimp and grits were the bomb. Amazing. Service was pretty good but could have been better. Our meal was delayed somewhat and we had to ask the waitress about it. In a place this expensive where you pay $80 or more for a steak, you shouldn't have to ask. They should come to you. Still service was better than most places so it isn't affecting my stars. Finally - the Old Fashioned they serve is ridiculously sweet. They told me it was sweet. It was so sweet and strong I couldn't drink it. The server took it back and brought me a Manhattan instead which was much better. But this is a matter of taste. Just letting readers know in case they are interested."
"THIS PLACE! We had one of be best dinners of our lives last night. I asked on Facebook where I should take Lauren to celebrate her kicking butt in everything and @jamesmkarlson recommended @butcherandbarrel. So we booked a reservation and OMG. They made it such a special experience for Lauren. Jennifer (adore her) started out seating us with a note congratulating her, a little bracelet, and non alcoholic champagne she was ecstatic. Like, come on, how freaking adorable is that! Now the food....we went HAM. *Tuna tartare with fried avocado, hearts of Palms, jalapeño crema, and rice crisps. Lauren ate it all! I had one bite. *truffled deviled eggs. Lauren doesn't even like deviled eggs. These were for me. She said it was one of her favorite things. *Lobster bruschetta. Rich, buttery, and fresh. My favorite appetizer. Then the main drop. Australian A5 Wagyu cooked to mother freaking perfection. I died. Then they surprised us with a dessert trio. * hazelnut fig jam crème brûlée. Crème brûlée is our favorite dessert of all time and this was one of the best ones. I asked him if he got the recipe from Jimmy Gibson before he passed away because it tasted just like Jimmy Gs. And if you're in Cincy, you know what I'm talking about.* tiramisu. We were stuck, but we somehow managed to get this down also. Toffee and chocolate mousse and everything you want it to be.* Cream puff with a lemon sauce and berries. It was the perfect ending to such a phenomenal meal. It was light, but it was good and thank God we walked a mile and a half to from the red stadium because we were beyond full. I recommend! The food was outstanding. I love little tapas plates for the price and selection. I've never really had much Argentinian food, but this was next level. I can't wait to go back."

We recently visited Le Moo it was the first time after a long break. When we arrived I alerted the hostess that we had a reservation They offered us a toast of champagne while we waited to be seated. When the table was ready I was surprised to find that even with a reservation we found ourselves sitting in the bar area at a small two top. The waitress came over and asked if we'd like some Louisville tap as if thats somehow a premium offering lol. I guess compared to some places it is. We accepted and ordered. I got the steak Diane and wife got the pork chop which our waitress informed us was top grade pork and it was recommended to have it prepared medium -medium well.I was okay with the risk of Trichinosis just so the chop wasn't dry! The food came out after a short wait, we did the supervised please check temperatures of the meat cuts. I hate it when I'm looking at a steak I know is over cooked (not much, but not perfect) and we all know it. Then it's a matter of waiting another ten minutes while my partner eats to get it right ... so I nodded it was fine... and it was tasty. The "sides" mashed potatoes, asparagus, mushrooms very nice but a bit sparse.. I guess from a cost vs quantity perspective.Steak was to me a bit overcooked the red center the waitress described as medium wasn't exactly the case. The chop was exactly as she suggested medium well-ish definitely pink in the center. Near the end a nice lady who I perceived could be in charge or possibly the owner came over and checked on us. That was cool. Server offered dessert we declined ticket wrapped up promptly. All and all the meal was solid and it's certainly a must try if you've never visited before. I'll try Le Moo again sometime down the road.

Just go. After a day of bourbon distilleries, I figured I had earned a steak. Went to JR; sat at the bar as I wasn't dressed in any snazzy attire (and had zero problem.) The service at the bar was probably the best bar service I've ever received. Multiple people checked on me while I was seated, the food came quick, and the team behind the bar made great suggestions. These guys even came over to me to say that the bread service would be delayed.... That's next level folks. I had the burger and fries and it was solid. Reasonable prices and a solid number of options. I'll be back without question.

Tony's is one of the best restaurants in Lexington. It's located on Main Street right across from Rupp Arena. You can have a romantic date, a group dinner, or solid conversation with strangers at the bar. This was only my third trip to Tony's even though I lived in Lexington for six years. The prices always intimidated me, but every time I've gone, it's worth every penny. I had two Old Fashioneds, one with Basil Hayden and the other with Woodford. Both were fantastic. The bread is a perfect way to soak in the alcohol and prepare for a delicious meal. I didn't order any appetizers myself, but tried a few PEI mussels, which were pretty darn good. The biggest surprise of the night for me was the Seared Ahi Tuna Tartare. One of my friends ordered it and when I tried it, I was blown away! I'm getting that next time. The Sir Barton steak was the perfect size and a nice medium rare. The Mac and cheese was great as always. The truffle wedges were solid too, but I was too full by the time I reached that plate. For the prices, you get very generous portions. If you go with somebody, I highly recommend splitting dishes. That will go a long way. Final shoutout to our server. He had a lot of orders and checks to keep track of, and he got to us before glasses were empty and was pretty attentive for a busy night.

Had incredible service here from Patrick. He went above and beyond and was so patient and kind with our large group this evening. This was a great location for a celebratory dinner and we had a great time with our group. Our food and drinks were delivered in a timely manner and Patrick made great recommendations for food and drinks. The lobster bisque was great as well as the Caesar salad. The au gratin potatoes were to die for along with the Brussels sprouts!

Rebecca was the best server. Her knowledge of the wine and menu was top notch. Intimate dining, with very fresh menu items(Not pictured) we started the meal with Warm Jar of King Crab and Butter. 10/10 recommend. I had the 8oz Filet with roasted potatoes. 9/10. My fiancé had the Seared Yellowfin Tuna Special 10/10 recommend, I will say I'm not the biggest seafood girl, but it was amazing. I'd order it myself. We ended the night with decaf coffee and espresso. We will definitely be going back.

I know I'm late getting this review in! We went the day after Valentine Day and yes it was busy and we didn't have a reservation but the hostess was so nice and suggested if we didn't want to wait we could sit at the bar so we did and our waitress and bartenders Jess and I believe Melissa or Michelle was fantastic they were great with drinks and food suggestions. I had the pork chops and my husband had the sirloin they were both great cooked perfectly now back to Jess she had me laughing and she make a great cast iron cocktail so if you want great food and the best service try this place you won't be disappointed! The only thing they could do to make it better is put a foot bar across the bottom of the bar so it's easier for us short people

This was the perfect place for a date night. The food was delicious and it was reasonably priced. We ordered two appetizers, two steaks and two glasses of wine each (4 drinks total) and it was under 130 before tip. Our server was so consistent and amazing. he timed our meal so we didn't feel rushed or waiting around we would return!

"Last night two of my friends and I went to Palmer's to celebrate one of my friends' birthday. It wasn't stifling hot outside so we opted to sit outside so that we could enjoy the view of the lane. I definitely recommend sitting outside if it's possible. I had the peach sangria to drink and it was light and refreshing--perfect for a summer evening. We split the calamari for an appetizer and it was good--not huge portions but the peanut sauce was a tasty change from the typical marinara sauce that you get at most places. I had the Caribbean chicken salad as my entree and it was okay. It wasn't served with very much dressing but I was able to get more from our server. I had a taste of my friend's shrimp and grits and it was outstanding. I would definitely recommend that next time!"
"Loved the holiday decor, seemed so festive and warm. The staff was outstanding. Especially working on Christmas Eve. Our meals were tasty and well prepared. I'd recommend Prime to others."
"I was so hopeful but it just didn't deliver. My husband and I drove over an hour for our date night. We showed up early so we accepted a seat in the bar instead of the dining room, which turned out to be a good thing due to the amount of kiddos in the dr! Love kids, just not that night! We were looking forward to the live music posted on their website but were told it's only on the patio during warmer days, so no music. The bartender was our server and seemed annoyed that we were there. My hubs ordered a steak and broccoli, I ordered a wedge salad and lobster bisque as well as the "thyme cocktail ". The cocktail was OVERWHELMINGLY thyme. Like whoa!!!! Nearly undrinkable, so I switched to wine. My husband was underwhelmed with the steak given the price, yet overwhelmed with the side of broccoli as it could've fed 4 people!!!!! The lobster bisque hit the spot for sure but I was disappointed that the wedge salad had bagged bacon bits on it and not fresh bacon, especially given the price point. The kicker was when the server dropped the dessert menu at the table, and said, I'm obligated to give you this!"..... interesting. When we hollered at him that we would like to take the bread pudding to go, he looked at us surprisingly, and said, "oh! It worked!"...We ate the bread pudding when we got home and it was delish!!!Also noticed a gentleman that came to sit at bar while we were there and asked to have channel on tv changed. Visibly annoyed, the bartender went to ask the hostess to change it. The man was never asked what he wanted to drink, and I noticed shortly after, he was gone. I assume he left. Poor guy!!Wanted to love it, especially given the drive, but it just turned into an expensive night out with nothing in return except for the bread pudding in bed!!"
"Adam was phenomenal. Great service and our meal was terrific! Will come back again. Thank you."
"They've remodeled and upped their offerings. Highly recommend the new style sashimi special. 9 pieces and you pick three different fish. We had tuna, white tuna and salmon. All super fresh and delicious. No rice. A bed of high quality lettuces with sesame ponzu dressing. Good ginger house salad. Another of my favorites is the Love Wrap also without rice so great if you prefer low carb. Chic atmosphere and friendly, quick service. Conveniently located next to Trader Joe's."
"First and foremost, The Blue Heron Steakhouse is locally owned and operated. It's been my experience that locally owned and operated is always a wonderful event. More inviting, great service, delicious meals/drinks and an overall "take care of the customer" attitude. The Blue Heron Steakhouse hit all of these marks. A very charming old home that's been renovated with original fireplace, and stately bar and seating area. The Loaded Baked Potato soup is an understatement. There was so much toppings you couldn't see the soup! (See pic). And what flavor. I'm so glad I took the servers recommendation on the "Commanders Fish of the Day" what a fabulous dish and a virtual taste bud explosion! Lol. And what 5 star review would be complete without mentioning what great service that was provided and well crafted cocktails they have."
"Okay, listen. I *wish* that I could tell you more about this experience but they had this drink special called a "Mistletoe Margarita" and I had like four of them, maybe five...so...That all started because they made us wait until our entire party of ten people was in the building before they would seat us. So, because I had to sit in the very cold vestibule, I had to imbibe to warm myself. Tequila makes me wanna fight so the bartender and I agreed that substituting vodka was the smartest play for all concerned. A solid decision. The drink was delicious and nobody got hurt. The company was fantastic and the food was good. There was a lot of activity going on and it was difficult to keep up with the conversation in that seating format. I'm pretty sure that I was supposed to be paying attention to the chef, anyway. Either way, it was fun and I enjoyed the experience."
"Excellent service from everyone. Good is exceptional. The surprise was three tools when I ordered Spicy Combo Roll. All delicious. My husband had Rice with beef. We enjoyed our meal on a cold winter night."
"I visited Lonely Pine in combination with the Christmas pop-up next door. They have the same owner, and I'll tell you the entire experience from start to finish was stellar! Upon walking in, we were greeted with a champagne toast and led to our table. The service was amazing, attentive, and very friendly. The food was very delicious. I got the broccolini as an appetizer and the filet mignon, macaroni, and fingerling potatoes for my entree. The steak was prepared perfectly, and the macaroni was literally some of the best restaurant macaroni I tasted! It was really hard not to order a second order! I finished my meal with the tres leche cake which was also good. I do wish it were a little sweeter, though. Overall, without the pop-up next door, I wouldn't have known this place existed, but now that I do, I'll certainly seek it out again!"
"One of my go to places to impress out-of-towners. The Irish Meatloaf is unforgettable. Walt is the man!"
"I have been going to The Kopper Kettle for 55 years and have not been disappointed. The food has always been excellent! I love the family style service! Our service is always different. Probably because we have a different server each time! We have never had terrible service. We tend to be flexible and optimistic, so we may not notice we are getting bad service? Try it for yourself, then leave your review! I will be watching for it!"
"Melt in your mouth steaks. Salad bars from the old days. Perfect martinis. Excellent service."
"The sushi here is pretty good and fresh, and while I've never done the hibachi, where I sat I could see the hibachi and it looks like a lot of fun, it seems they do hibachi right if you're looking for it here. The place gets lively right around 6. It's usually bustling and talkative. I always love a side salad with the ginger dressing before my sushi and this one is just fine. It's not a standout from any other sushi place, pretty standard, but it hits the spot. This latest time I went with my parents we got the tempura shrimp as an appetizer and it was pretty good. I do wish the tempura sauce would've been a little more flavorful. My non-sushi eating parents got the seafood combo teriyaki style, and they really enjoyed it. I took a few bites and it was very nice -- the scallops weren't over cooked, they were very tender, same with the shrimp. The teriyaki sauce was well balanced, not too salty or sweet, just right. Their crunch munch roll here is my favorite. It's generously filled with spicy crab, the shrimp is nice on the outside, and the tempura flakes add a good crunch, and the spicy dressing finishes it off with some heat. I also like to get an unagi roll, and theirs is better than most places. My sister, however, got the volcano roll and it wasn't very good. It was baked or steamed in foil, so the rice didn't hold together and it fell apart trying to eat it, they put way too much spicy mayo and that got all mixed in with the rice. It was literally a hot mess. She hated to use this word, but she said it was terrible. I tried it and agreed. That's probably the only bad note to make. But overall, this is probably one of the better sushi/Japanese spots in the area"
"Great food, great service, the food is top notch, very busy but that tells you how good this place is... great atmosphere for families and couples. Totally Awesome, 5*! We shared the King Cut Prime rib!"
"Buffet was good and it had steak on it. And place was clean. Service was good and friendly."
"Very well-established, authentic Italian restaurant. But of course, owned by a Greek. Very nicely done. Food is portioned correctly at the right price point to match. Very flavorful with a wide variety to choose from."
"One of our favorite places to celebrate! We enjoy sitting by the window near the fireplace and piano to enjoy the river views, music and fireplace ambience. Definitely make reservations for a more enjoyable experience! Now for the food-My filet was cooked perfectly and I added asparagus which were served with hollandaise sauce- delish! My husband had prime rib and a baked potato-which was huge and he said was amazing. We ended our meal by choosing 1 of their desserts from the dessert tower, which we picked a red velvet dessert! It was delicious! Great experience! We will definitely be back!"
"I'm going to start with this. I never go to any restaurant and say that every single thing I got was cooked to perfection. However, in this case I can absolutely say everything was cooked to perfection. And man, you have to try the 911 sauce on those wings. That stuff is awesome. The service was way above and beyond as well. I got to meet the chef and it blew my mind to find it was a young 18yr old girl. Guys, I would put her up against any of those 40-yr. old chefs with years of experience any day. We had the appetizer sampler, then the beer cheese burger with onion rings for me and mac and cheese for the daughter. When I say everything was cooked to absolute perfection. That is what I mean. We are not from here but anytime we come to Winchester to visit, we will be at this restaurant. Thanks for the great experience and rest assured, I'll be back and I'm bringing friends."
"Good food, and good service. Interior reminds me of the 80's and is nostalgic in ways."
"I've been coming here for hibachi for forever and it is also a hit!!! The service is always very helpful. The coy pod in the front of the resturant is so fun! The sushi is also yummy! I cound eat here every night."
"A different location but same great food, service, and atmosphere. A new favorite day date spot. If you order the Philadelphia roll, ask for smoked salmon."
"My family needed a spot to gather, and Texas Roadhouse was great for this.We were able to get a reservation, and wow, even for a Saturday afternoon, we needed it. This place was packed. Also important to note: Your whole party needs to be present to be seated. We were able to get a couple of booths that were across from each other, and our server was quick to bring drinks and food.I ordered the Chicken Critter Salad, which was a decent lunch with hot, crispy chicken on a salad. And best of all: those rolls. I could just live on those!Texas Roadhouse is a solid choice when looking for a chain and a good meal."
"I didn't check the reviews and I'm glad I didn't. I ended up here because the place across the street changed completely. At first I was skeptical, then realized we were there shortly after 4 pm. I was thinking I'd just get some sushi with the kid and go home.To my surprise, there was no sushi...just hibachi. Can we say upgrade I've been meaning to get to a place, but hadn't committed. When I open the menu, I see plum wine It was perfect for my tastebuds. If I'm out, I'm looking for an experience I won't have at home & this place delivered! I laughed, I ate, and I neutralized some stress from the work week. Thanks for a wonderful dining experience."
