"Hard to find, but once you do, you will not forget where it is!!!I was welcomed by Dad himself while waiting in the hallway. Explained the menu and options. I decide to go with the Rueben I had heard so much about it. It did not disappoint!!!Definitely will be going back."
"We've eaten here several times, usually once or twice a year when visiting French Lick. The place is charming. It can be loud and the wait staff can be more casual and friendly than a chain restaurant, where the staff has to stay on script. The last two visits, once a year for the past two years, some of the food was cold. Both times it was the meatballs and the sides (noodles, mashed potatoes, fried potatoes, cabbage). I really want this place to succeed, and there are so few places like this that are a true labor of love. They've got to get the kitchen under control, though. Three stars based on reputation and our history here."

"So, I travel a lot and this place was positively a delightful find. The food was the absolute highlight, it's become a staple for when I come back. This was easily some of the tastiest food I've ever had, I had the eggplant appetizer which was spicy, savory and delicious in every way. My dinner of lamb was also wonderful, the generous portion of lamb was surprising in the best way. Top that off with the fact that it was delicious and you can't lose! The atmosphere is charming and welcoming in here. You walk in and get this kind of nice mix of classic Afghan and just a hint of America which is plesant. There's no overly loud music, the ambiance is just lovely, it's a win overall. Finally service-wise, this is the only area I wasn't totally thrilled. The server was a little less than attentive, yes we got seated quickly, yes we got our order taken quickly, then she disappeared. Not a huge problem but I felt thats the only thing separating this from a 5-star review. All in all really well done, and it's family owned which just makes it even better definitely give them a try!"
"Great place and the sandwiches were delicious. There was also a huge selection of them to choose from."
"Today, and every time i go to Roots i am grateful for so many things. I am grateful for the kind staff who always greet yoi so warmly when we come in. I am grateful for the amazing selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes that are available and grateful that we were able to get carry out during the covid shut down.I recommend you try the green beans and tofu, the sizzling rice, the tofu squares, or any of the teas, Actually, you can't go wrong with whatever you choose. Give them a try and I think you will be grateful for all their delicious food too!"
"A family owned spot that seems to cater its taste for Asian foods in Chinese, Korean and Japanese with a bit of Thai. Very home styled recipes very delicious. Worth a try so far. I really like a place that serves quality tea that's a big plus. The bibimbap was ok the hot pot didn't manage to crisp the bottom enough and the egg wasn't runny enough and the pepper paste (Gochujang) was not to be found However it was quite delusions Service 4 stars polite and very helpful Atmosphere 3 stars quaint, a bit dark but quite intimate with a family or friend group. Price: $$$ a bit highBathrooms 2 stars"
"Taste 10/10 - Chicken Pad Thai. Although the medium spice level was a bit hotter than mediums I've ordered elsewhereFriendliness 15/10 - Owner (?) is a wonderful and welcoming, and offered my toddler a full sized Thai chocolate bar after assuring she had no allergiesPrice 8/10 - Portion somewhat small for the priceI'll definitely make a return trip with my husband to try other enticing menu items!"
"100% recommend choosing Smashing Tomato over some of the personal pizza National chain places around here. The pizza is so fresh, the salads are all great, and I love the bread and olive oil/balsamic you get to eat alongside your meal as well! The service is always quick and the food always tastes great. If you haven't tried it, try the Pisto (garlic cream) as your base. You won't be disappointed!"
"I love this place! In my opinion they have the best pho in Louisville. They have a wide selection of meats to add to your pho. I love the brisket and some times get the brisket and eye round to have more meat. The fried spring rolls are delicious, I couldn't tell you what's in them but they are good. Last time I went I tried the taro tea, it makes for a yummy after lunch/dinner treat. The service is great and food always comes out quickly. The tables are a little worse for wear from the heat of the bowls but that is the worst thing I could say about this place."
"I mostly come here for my birthday. I like to get a bowl of vegetables mixed with pasta and fish. It is often accompanied by rice and tortillas. Depending on my mood, I top it off with different variety of sauces. It's pretty cool to watch the food being prepared by the grillers. They make it look so effortless, but it's definitely a skill."
"Soupy's is a hikes point community sandwich and soup shop in the city of Louisville Kentucky. After seeing this establishment for several years and curious what they have to offer I finally stopped in to check them out. We parked and I was walking towards the door and I can see a worker walk up to make sure the door was locked by aggressively yanking on. Kinda a rude way of informing someone it's drive thru only. However, I was here and didn't let that rudeness stop me from doing through the drive thru. We were the only ones there at the moment so we processed and got the order really quickly. I personally ordered whole ham sandwich and got a side of chili. My wife ordered a tuna salad sandwich with some chicken and dumplings. I will say they are fairly priced. Not too expensive by any means. We got our order and parked in the parking lot and ate in our cars. My wife chicken and dumplings was super watery. Said it had good flavor but way too much water. Her sandwich she said was just ok. Pretty standard run of the mill and she said "it's not like it's terrible but it's nothing I'll run back to try". My ham sandwich i felt the same way. Pretty standard. Not bad by any means. But it very much had the i stopped by the deli market and made a sack lunch sandwich for my kids school field trip vibe to it. The chili I enjoyed. Wasn't anything ground breaking but I do love the fact that they offer chili with or without noodles. Team noodles over here. For those who said if you add noodles it makes it spaghetti mu counter is always if you don't have noodles it's just tomato soup with meat. Overall this is a solid and cool little hikes point land marker. The food here to me was just ok. The service annoyed me slightly. The pricing and the fact that there chili has noodles in it is my two favorite things."
"Consistently great food and service at an excellent price. Chips and salsa are always delivered in a timely manner, as are beverages. Food is prepared quickly and hot. All the employees are friendly and personable. This is my favorite Mexican lunch spot."

Always a great place for lunch. Not as crowded. Food is excellent. The German beer choices are good. The dark is the best.

Outstanding food, outstanding service! I was in Bloomington today and had dinner at Samira and it was excellent. We ordered two lamb dishes, both were extremely flavorful and very tender. Our waitress was great too. Highly recommended!

Speak easy vibes in the heart of downtown Lawrenceburg. We yelped a place to stop before the start of our bourbon tasting. Heavens To Betsy! was the perfect place. You order at the counter - great selection of sandwiches hot and cold, sides, and desserts. I got the Reuben, my husband got the Turkey avocado, and the rest of my group of the Italian and pimento grilled cheese special. For sides, the majority got the jambalaya and I got chips. My Reuben was off the chain! Portions are huge, but I ate everything. The perfect combo of corned beef and sauerkraut! Everyone loved that jambalaya, I would agree. I snuck in a bite or two.The service was great. For a causal place, they serve your food after you order at the counter. Two individuals checked in on us to see how we were doing. After we were done, they told us they would bus our plates. I love KY! The people in general are so kind! This was the perfect stop before heading to Four Roses!

A quiet Monday night when we met a friendly couple sitting next to us and traded dining favs in both Chicago and Louisville :) Started with Green Curry Soup (not spicy, solid flavor), then Steamed Rice Rolls (fantastic sauce but rolls fell apart after your 1st bite), Pan-fried rice noodles (another sauce we could not get enough of and tasty chunks of noodles about the size of a pita chip). Still a little hungry, we ordered the sizzling rice plate as a final entree. For dessert, we were very pleased with the vegan carrot cake and chocolate peanut butter pie.

Very good hot pot. If you like really spicy food get the spicy seafood, but be forewarned that it is extremely spicy. My husband and I both ordered or own which was a mistake. One order is plenty to share.

Great fire oven pizza. Their soup is good too. Fast service with servers that are helpful in ordering and have a good personality. Lots of choices in toppings and sauce. Definitely would return if it would be dine in with family or a quick pickup for lunch during work. This is a place I would recommend to anyone looking for good food at a good price.

"I'm from NKY and my son goes to physical therapy 3x a week at Frazier Uof L . While he's doing his thing I have been checking out the town and this restaurant cafe was fabulous! Home made soups were superb and their selection of hot and cold sandwiches were amazing! Service was quick. There's an alley behind the building that leads to a parking lot behind the building. Order at the counter and they will bring your food to you. I will definitely go back!!"
"This place was good.It was after our hike nearby and we all had a craving for korean food and yes it did hit the spot Being Korean I have pretty high standards for Korean food. It is authentic and has a great taste. For one of my friends it was her first time trying Korean food and she really enjoyed it along with a green grape juice with chunks in them that was definitely part of my childhood We got the bibimbap, seafood soft tofu soup & stir fry squid (which I love). All of the dishes were good which is why I'm not surprised they have 2 locations! I might not come back to this location unless I'm camping out here again as I live over an hour away but I will probably go back to their other location which is closer to home"
"Visiting town to visit family and picked this place based on reviews. The food was delicious! Salsa was on point. We got the mamacita and a taco alacarte. One of the best meals I've had. Definitely a small town gem for Mexican food."
"Really, really good. We walked over from our hotel, tired and hungry. This is a small restaurant in a strip mall, serving excellent Chinese food. My plate was loaded with beef lo mein, served piping hot, beef, noodles, onion, carrots, and celery all cooked in a perfect sauce. My husband ordered the peanut beef which was loaded with Bermuda onions, string beans, beef, bell peppers in a spicy peanut sauce. The food here is as good as we've had in Asia and we will definitely be back!"
"Great little spot downtown for a quick, inexpensive lunch. I wasn't feeling too well so I was craving some chicken noodle soup. The Silver Ladle's page was first to pop up when I turned to Yelp for a suggestion. The chicken noodle soup was traditional, hearty and exactly what I needed.A friend of mine ordered the pick 2 lunch with a greek salad and the muffaletta. She was very pleased with this selection. The ingredients looked very fresh, and the portion sizes were generous for the price. I can't wait to go back when I am feeling better so I can go back to try more! They offer a dine in option or you can carry out or get delivery (I'm unsure of the territory, though). You can also order boxed lunches, a buffet style lunch or chili bar to fill your catering needs.Overall a win for lunch!"
"Service was great; very friendly and prompt. The sandwich menu is extensive; there is something for everyone and many very interesting choices. All sandwiches come with chips, and you can get Ms. Vick's for 1$ more.My son got the artisan grilled cheese and loved it! I got the Reuben which was very tangy due to the addition of pickles to the sauerkraut. I liked it, but it was a lot of one flavor over the others. My boyfriend got the Spicy Wreck, which was spicy indeed...maybe too spicy! We didn't try any of the sides, and while we saw they had some beers and desserts we didn't try that either, but everything looked goodOur bill was $21. Not bad at all!"
"I ordered 2 rolls from their 40-item premium menu. ("Creme de la creme," my very good server called them.) They were OK, but absolutely not Japanese-style sushi. Maybe if I had ordered from the conventional page of the menu it would have been more recognizable - and even come with some ginger as well as the wasabi I did receive."
"My daughter and I went to Daisuki for dinner last night and it didn't disappoint. I used to love getting sushi from them when they were located inside Logan Street Market but this was my first visit to their stand alone location. The server was very friendly and answered questions for us about the menu. We ultimately started with the gyoza from their "value" menu (I'm not sure if that's the name but they have a menu with slightly smaller portions of some items at very reasonable prices) and they were delicious. It was only $5 and came with 4 good sized pieces. That was perfect for us two. Then we decided on 5 sushi rolls as well. We don't get super adventurous with our sushi but everything we had was delicious. We had the California Roll (kiddos favorite), Tempura Shrimp Roll, Yum Yum Roll, Dragon Roll, and Crunchy Munchie Roll. I'm not sure if I had a favorite but they have Dragon Roll was one of the best Dragon Rolls I've personally ever had. We ate all but 4 pieces of sushi and left very full and happy! I personally liked that the restaurant was not super loud even though it's fairly small and the decor was beautiful. I'm not sure if it would be as quiet on a busy weekend night but I'd definitely go back and see. If I had one complaint it would be the parking situation. I think they have a few spaces behind the restaurant however they appeared to be full and much of the parking behind is reserved for book and music exchange and Uptown Cafe. The street parking is scarce as well so be prepared to walk."
"This China king is great. The service is incredible and the food is delicious. We will normally come here every Sunday after church because they have a really great lunch deal. I was able to get an egg roll, lo mein, and sweet + sour chicken for $5.65. There are a ton of meal options, so you don't have to compromise what you want. There is rooms to sit, so you can eat in the restaurant if you want to or you can get it to go. The convenience, the speed, and the quality are what keep me coming back."
"Great new place! We ate there for lunch today and it was delicious. I had the shrimp tempura ramen and the broth especially had a good depth of flavor. I especially enjoyed the fish cakes in it. We also had the garlic steak hibachi. The portion was huge and again flavor was great. We order the beef yakisoba noodles which were yummy. We ordered 2 deep fried sushi rolls and the rolls were gigantic. I loved the combination of flavors. The staff in the restaurant was very attentive and friendly. The restaurant itself is huge, nicely decorated and clean. This was a great new find and we'll be back."
"First time trying this place out. We where greeted with a smile. Good customer service. They had a steady flow of customers coming in and out. We ordered a bunch combo meals. The food was tasty and flavorful and piping hot. My kids liked it so it's a thumbs up for me."
"I'm no stranger to Olive Garden, but this was my first visit to the newly built location. I dined there on a Saturday evening when the wait was hours long at other restaurants nearby. I placed a call to Olive Garden and was informed that there was not a current wait. Decision made! When I sat down the first thing I noticed was the modern decor. The other location in town has been here for many years and it is quite dated. This location was a breath of fresh air. The light fixtures are beautiful and very modern. The bar area was beautiful and well stocked. Our waitress was kind & attentive and made wonderful suggestions. She answered all questions with ease and made our dining experience very nice.I stepped outside of my box and got something other than my usual tour of Italy. I tried the shrimp & chicken scampi and it was wonderful. Of course we had plenty of salad and breadsticks to go around. In fact, I filled up on those and had to request a to-go container for my entree. In addition to my entree, the waitress offered salad and more breadsticks to-go as well. I had a complete leftover meal the next day. My birthday is this week so I presented my email for a free dessert. I went with the brownie lasagna and I absolutely made a great choice! It's thick, rich, chocolate goodness. This was a wonderful dining experience all the way around. Glad to have OG in the neighborhood!"
"Alright so let's give this a whirl. Lots to talk on.Number one as people say they seem to cater to carryout and delivery well got lots of calls and walk in while we were ordering and waiting. Now we were dine in option as people have stated empty inside also I side is dated needs a little love and cleaning even just a good old scrub down and organization. We got water to drink bur they did offer a variety of drinks however bottled or canned and the fridge is in the open where they offer them from was empty looking not fully stocked or even midway to give a nice variety view. The bathrooms need an over heal for sure and a power sprayer taken to old tile again a little care can go a long way but when I see bathrooms like that it's saddening especially if you don't have a lot of foot traffic inside. But yes not much in decor or organization there the menu is very large with many items about 5 to 6 pages worth, usually this is a sign that the kitchen had to much going on so many items to keep track of and keep fresh can be hard. What we ordered tasted fresh and great except the crab ragoon had this old texture to it and the filling wasn't that great. The mapo tofu was delicious and spicey and fresh as should be. The general so's chicken was fresh hot and delicious as well. The egg drop soup was not instant but fresh made and you could taste it was good as well. I got the beef noodle soup with ramen noodles for selection of noodle a little disappointed it was more like spaghetti noodle then actual ramen so other then that flavor was there and it did taste good I did not finish that or take it to go though. We also got pork belly plate which was hot fresh and delicious as well with side of green beans in chili sauce also fresh and hot and crisp. So over all 4 out of 5 starts great service and food but lack or organized environment and cleanliness is what cost it a star i didn't give it a three star becasue they don't own the building so who knows what they have to go through to get updates done being In a strip mall location. But very good."
"Welcome to the east end, Green District Salads! This local healthy quick meals concept just opened a new location and I'm happy to have this option so close to home. First impressions - The menu offers endless options for salads and grain (rice) bowls, and you can choose to make just about any menu option a wrap. I chose the classic "GD" (Green District) salad for my first time in, adding extra protein. It was terrific, fresh with lots of toppings, and a HUGE portion (I wonder if there is a half-salad option available?).Service was exceptional. The staff at lunch was friendly, informative, and happy to accommodate requests for a great experience. I took my salad to-go (they also have an order online and pickup option) but while I was there the interior of the restaurant is classy, open, and well kept.If you download the app ahead of time I hear you can get a few bucks off your first order and they have a loyalty program for future deals. I wasn't that prepared today but I'll make a note of it for next time. Overall - If you're looking for a quick, healthy, tasty meal in the east end (neighbors between Which-Wich and Joy Luck) give Green District Salad a try - and be prepared for leftovers!"
"This place is great!! I had the stuffed French toast it was delicious. Bacon and grits yummmm."
"Everyone knows the drill with no-frills Chinese take-out places like this (which, since the pandemic, increasingly seem to be take-out only). After having tried most such in the Louisville area, I'll say that China 1 is hands-down my favorite (with Oriental Cafe a close second, though OC is the better option if you want to sit and eat). Good food, quick service, reasonable prices, and generous portions (a $12 stir-fry is actually more than I can eat in two meals!).I no longer live in Lou, and this is one of the places I miss, not yet having found a comparable option in Miami."
"Comfortable and casual with a nicely appointed environment. Both indoor and outdoor seating available. Waitstaff is friendly and efficient and always a pleasure to work with. Good food, good prices."
"So good! How am I just now finding out about this place?! I'm about to become a regular, for sure. The lady who served our food (she's from Ghana!) is so warm and friendly. The spice blends they use here are just perfect. The curry with coconut rice is delicious! The veggies (mostly cabbage) are a great crunchy accompaniment to the rich flavors. This place is take-out only, inside a small market. Perfect for nights you don't want to cook since it's really quick."
"I love this place. The fish always tastes fresh, the fried mushrooms are good, and the shrimp are a nice size. You can't go wrong with a fish box for two, plus you can substitute onion rings for fries. Frankly, my spouse and I often create our own platters by adding ala carte shrimp and clams to our fish box order when we want to have a feast. We pick up food here at least twice a month if not more often."
