We made a reservation online through Resy, and I'm glad we did--it was surprisingly busy for a Monday night! I started with the Chinotto Old Fashioned. Though I was initially hesitant, it turned out to be a refreshing twist on the classic cocktail--highly recommend giving it a try. For the main course, we couldn't pass up their wood-fired sourdough pizza. We went with the classic Margherita, and it was excellent--perfectly balanced flavors and a delightful crust. To finish, we split some hazelnut gelato, which was the perfect end-of-meal treat--light, creamy, and delicious. The space itself is beautiful and quaint, with a cozy atmosphere. Parking is limited with a small lot, but the friendly staff and inviting environment make it worth the visit. Overall, a fantastic spot for a special night out!"

We got the chips and dip appetizer: warm bread, meats and a cheesy dip. House bread with oil for dipping is standard, which was great because we had a lot of extra dip to scoop up! For entrees, we got the gnocchi alla vodka and the warm brussels sprouts salad. DELICIOUSThe wine list is carefully curated, and the drink menu is massive and fun. As full as we were, we knew we had to end the evening with cannoli, so we packed up some of each entree to take home. For brunch with tried the Benedict, breakfast pizza and a cannoli for desert. The pizza was delicious and well sized. The eggs Benedict was smaller but very good and a bit spicy. They're always perfectly cooked, service is great, and there's a variety of excellent pizza options whether you're a classic pepperoni toppings kind of person or feeling slightly adventurous. We came here for pizza week and I'm so glad we did, because it reminded me I need to come here more! I got the St Matthews pizza - SO good!! Also, my friend is celiac and they have gluten free crust options, which is MEGA bonus points in my book! Not enough restaurants are prepared to accommodate for celiac disease, so we love to see the inclusive menu options!"

Gnochi was spicy, so be mindful, but was a pleasant departure from more common dishes. Carbonara special was a bit underwhelming - more like alfredo than carbonara. The service was a highlight - good wine recommendations, attentive but not overbearing. The ambiance is a bit old school, but it can get a tad noisy as the restaurant fills. All in all, a good option locally that is pretty consistent and enjoyable."

The calamari with banana peppers was a great touch as it cut the greasiness of the fried calamari. The focaccia was fresh and the cold ricotta was a great contrast to the warm bread! By the time our meal came out we were pretty stuffed but the pasta was also amazing! The bolognese was rich and meaty and the gnocchi Quattro formagio was creamy and delicious! "We've been going here for years, it's a spot that's always on our short list of best spots to eat...biggest problem is that it's up in Hopkinsville and very easily forgotten about. But don't let that stop you from checking them out. Before you go you have to check the hours. We went on a Tuesday night, a night that the other location at Novadell was closed and I think that created a frenzy of people who wanted to eat here, the place is not big and it's not staffed with a high volume of employees, so that's a downside. We arrived and were told it would be a 10-15 minute wait but that changed due to some of the issues that I mentioned before. HOWEVER - The food is absolutely delicious!!! So very, very, very good. My wife ordered the Pollo Alla Parmigiana (Chicken Parmesan) and I ordered the Shrimp Capellini Toscana. We always start off with the bread and oil appetizer, which is normally fantastic, but this time they didn't have a chance to make their normal bread...so it wasn't as good. Everything about our food was great. From the house made sauce to the fresh flavors in the meals. Really good food comes out of this kitchen. Stop in, order a meal, and see for yourself!"

We were promptly greeted by our server. We ordered cheese sticks and beers. Both of those items came quickly. The cheese sticks were unique. Something about the bread. The best I can describe, it was like a really soft flatbread with cheese. We really liked them! With our entrees, we got a hot steak sandwich and also baked cheese manicotti. We each liked our meals A LOT. my husband does not love Italian food like I do. So I try to choose the Italian restaurants that have a good selection of not just pasta. My husband said he would be happy to go back and try other things. So I felt like that was a win!!! We will absolutely be back!!!"

"Perso was the final stop on my restaurant hop during #louisvillerestaurantweek. I definitely know what I'm doing because this was an awesome choice. I dined alone, so I sat bellied up at the bar. My beverage of choice is wine, but Perso's cocktail menu was too interesting to pass over. I opted for the Lavender Manhattan. Either this bartender is one-of-a-kind or this drink is from another dimension. Or both. When I saw the genie floating up from the glass in a cloud of smoke, I knew this was going to be the beginning of a blissful dining experience. Perso had a special menu for Restaurant Week, and because I was teetering between the Pasta E Fagoli and the Crostino di Tonno for my first course, my bartender helped me decide. The Pasta E Fagoli was cranberry-beany and delicious, and had me wishing I had a spoon to scoop up and savor every bit of the soup that remained after I ate all the campanelle and fagoli. A small warning, though. Although it wasn't super spicy, I struggle with spiciness, which even when mild sometimes sends me into an eye-watering coughing fit. Once I get beyond it with a few sips of water though, I'm able finish it off like a respectable foodie would. For the second course, I went with the Cast Iron Baked Pasta. I doubt you can ever go wrong with baked pasta but I went all the way right with this dish. By the time I was halfway through its incredible cheesaliciousness and beginning to feel full, I had to will myself to put the fork down and allow the rest to be boxed so that I could handle the third course. It wasn't easy. My options included Ice Cream of the Day or Chef's Choice. Well, that was easy. Chef knows best. When I say my mind was blown by the tender, flaky, perfectly-flavoured fig strudel.... With the house-made mascarpone on the side?Just go and try it if you don't believe me. I enjoyed the chill atmosphere at this place as well. The food service and bar service were both attentive and pleasant. Did I already mention the Lavender Manhattan that's mixed using the handmade Tito vodka? Oh, and how that leftover baked pasta hit the next day. Whew! I will be back to see you all soon, Perso."
