The selection is always changing outside of a few core flavors, so you aren't going to get bored. It's reasonably priced, especially for how large the scoops are. Ts a really cool atmosphere, the walls are covered by photos of people who've eaten their massive pound+ burgers. Good service. Parking right outside, and since we went on Sunday, metered parking is free. Go there."

"We are new to this location. We came 15 minutes before closing. We were met at the drive thru by a very polite young man that took our orders. He named off all the Sunday flavors for my husband. He got the butterscotch. After seeing a photo on another review of cookie Sunday I had to have that. The cookies Sunday came with 2 soft warm cookies fudge topping and whipped cream. It did not disappoint. My husband enjoyed his butterscotch Sunday. We will come again"

"Long time staple of the Louisville Ice cream scene. This fun location with the actual barrel as the building has been serving hot dogs, burgers and ice cream treats to the highview area of Louisville for a very long time. Very quaint and cutesy location with the design. For as long as it has been in the area I have never visited until last night. A few times over the last 15 years or so I stopped in to grab an ice cream but they were always cash only. And I never carry cash. I recently found out they accept cards now so I made a return visit last night. I had heard this place has good food. So we ate real food first. I personally got a cheeseburger and it lived up to the hype. Very good. Nice meat and cheese and the burger had a very good salt flavor too it without being overbearing. My oldest daughter got the Cheeseburger as well and liked it a lot. My second youngest daughter and niece got a hot dog and nachos to share and my wife shared a pretzel with the baby. Second oldest was at practice so she missed out. Nachos were just ok. My niece said the hot dog was good she gave it a big ole thumbs up. And the wife enjoyed her pretzel. Overall the food portion cost us $19. So not bad at all. And they got it out to us in about 5-7 min. So good speed too and food was fresh. After the main course we circled back and got ice creams. I personally got a brown derby chocolate on chocolate. Which is a personal favorite of mine when ice cream places offer it. My oldest got a banana split, my second youngest and niece got a vanilla ice cream in a cup with m&ms on top (the worker stated they normal don't do that since they offer flurries but made an exception this time), and the wife got a hot fudge cake. Overall it cost right over $17. So once again not bad pricing and they got it out within a few minutes. The kids all liked there ice creams and banana split. My wife's hot fudge cake was amazing. I'd highly recommend that and the next time I go it's absolutely what I'm getting. My brown derby was good. Usually local places over these chocolate crusted chocolate cones and play off the Kentucky "derby" fame. It was pretty good. Not the best one I have had as the chocolate on the outside was not very thick or hard so it broke away easy and melted fast despite it only being barely 50 degrees outside. But it was still tasty. Overall great experience. Very good food and ice cream and very cool location to take the family for a good time. They have plenty of patio space with picnic tables and most of it is covered to keep out weather elements. So that is nice. I can see why it is a long time staple of the area. And now that they take credit cards like a legit business should I'll gladly come by more often for cheeseburgers and ice cream."

The burger was hot and fresh with a delightful potato bun. My wait for food wasn't super long considering everything is cooked to order. I really liked the "Chill Sauce" on the burger. They weren't super busy while I was there but I can see this spot being slammed at times because of it's location. The location is so new that everything is clean and pristine! I got the fresh cut fries but the onion rings looked good too. The fries are shoe string -- which aren't my favorite but they were good. Unfortunately, I felt like the order I got had been sitting around for a while. I'm spoiled by hot fries! They also had several ice cream dessert options that looked tasty. Peanut butter shake? Next time, dangit!"

"I had a great first visit to The Scoop tonight with my Mama! The pre-fixed menu they had set up for Yelp Elites covered a wide variety of their expansive menu. I was slightly overwhelmed (in a good way) with the over 40 ice cream flavors (y'all know I'm indecisive), but I told the worker taking orders that I loved peanut butter and they immediately knew just what to recommend. I was given a sample of the honey roasted peanut butter ice cream and it's AMAZING! I was torn between trying a liege waffle with chicken, and something with ice cream. I decided to go with the Red Bubble Waffle, Stuffed with peanut butter cookie and honey roasted peanut butter ice cream. I even requested for peanut butter topping to be placed on top. Can you say peanut butter heaven?! The waffle was fresh and warm and paired well with the ice cream. I grabbed my Mama a scoop of butter pecan on a sugar cone, and she's itching to get back to try the cobbler (blackberry is at the top of her list). I'd also like to try some of the hot food options.The staff was super friendly, there's plenty of parking, the decor is bright and happy, and indoor seating is available. Pricing is fair, especially given the serving sizes. We'll definitely be back!"

Their hand dipped is really good and they make it homemade and have weekly flavors. I love most all the flavors but my favorites are the peach, coconut, and pumpkin. I also love their strawberry shortcake Sundae in the spring and the pumpkin roll sundae in the fall; those are not to be missed. My bf loves their soft serve and the Vortex's, which are like a Blizzard.They are located in front of Kroger on Lewis and Clark in Clarksville. I live equally close to this one and the one in New Albany on Charlestown Road. I go to the NA location mostly because they have more tables and it's easier to park. This location is a tad bit nosier with only a few tables and it feels more cramped. They still have good ice cream and I haven't had any bad service here. Worth a stop if you love ice cream."

"I missed the bus... I just got back from Thailand and they have street vendors selling fresh made ice cream JUST like this! So I thought... why not open one in Louisville!!! We love ice cream here! Rain or shine, we get ourselves some cold creamy goodness or those beautiful pops on Bardstown road. This is going to kill it in Louisville. I check good old Yelp for Louisville and what do I find... this place here... and what's more? It happens to be excellent and perfectly executed by the dude who made mine.So they have this freezing cold platter that they pour the cream onto, and the ice cream man uses his agility and brawn to chop and mix and smear and grind the cream against the platter. As he's doing this, the cream is thickening until it's a sheet of good and righteousness the likes of which are fit to fend off even the likes of Melkor and Ungoliant. He then scrapes it into several beautiful rolls and delicately places them into a cup like a newborn into her mothers arms for the first time. He gazes over with a mist of sweat on his brow and asks me, "and what toppings would you like?" For the fixed price of the ice cream, you are allowed three toppings. I chose a single strawberry to garrison my matcha green tea ice cream tower. He sliced it with the skill of a modern surgeon using an ancient Japanese katana that was won by his ancestor in the Sino-Japanese war and manifested it atop my sweet treat.This is what my experience was like... how was yours? Five stars, but I wish they had sweetened condensed milk because that ish is the bomb on top of matcha green tea ice cream yo!Try this place... bring a friend, treat your date, or beg your momma to bring you. Upon checking Yelp, we came across La Fresita. Turns out, it was all of 10 minutes from my house. Located in a very small shopping strip, it's right between a bar and a small car lot. The inside was clean and smelled amazing. In my quest to try something new, I got a strawberry aqua (basically strawberry water). It was thicker than regular water but thinner than a shake. With as hot as the day was, it was extremely refreshing and hit the spot. They offer popsicles, shakes, mangonadas, yogurt and more. This is right on my way home from work and I will definitely be stopping in again soon."
