"What a fabulous place. We've stayed here two years in a row while attending a conference at the University of Louisville. It's much closer to the University than the official conference hotel, less expensive, and WAY cooler. I've only met one of the proprietors, but he's always been incredibly friendly. He's quick to recommend restaurants or activities, and provides cool information about the city. We stayed in the Garden Room both times, which has two large windows and a super comfy bed. The TV is small, but it tucks away in a cabinet (and really, I'm not on vacation to watch TV anyway). The Garden Room is also the only bathroom with natural light, I believe. You can hear others talking a bit - it is an old house - but the walls aren't nearly as thin as I feared, and I've certainly stayed in expensive hotels that were much louder. It's kitschy and charming, and the decor really gives it a special character. Every time I look, I discover a new artifact. The architecture is BEAUTIFULLY detailed throughout the house. A quirk: each room gets their own bathroom, but it's across the hall. I was initially skeptical, but it was really never an issue, and the fluffy bathrobes provided are a nice touch. I'm hoping to keep returning to the Columbine for years to come!"
"Ok, I encountered a first while visiting the Seelbach. Someone who crossed out items on the in room dining menu warning others not to order it!! I love it!! This is def a person who needs to be a yelper if not already!!So, I ordered soup and salad for lunch which was perfect. The pecans, raspberry vinegerette, and strawberries were a real treat, along with the tomato soup.Dinner. This is where we had problems. The pasta was swimming in oil. Swimming in oil. Yes it was. And because I was recovering from a cold, not feeling well, I ate what I could, and left the rest. I think it was supposed to be a pesto sauce, but it failed. It did not make it. And that's a shame, because lunch was so good."
"I arrived here, Monday, Presidents' Day, and was graciously greeted. This hotel is steeped in history, and there are probably even some spirits running around. It is the perfect location for downtown Louisville, and everything is walkable from here."
"I had a semi-decent stay here. The room is clean and the hotel is located in a great area of Lexington next to a major shopping mecca. If you want to go to Lowe's, this is literally next door to it. I think my biggest and only complaint of the place was the noise. It can get a bit noisy due to paper-thin windows. I think some people would complain that this place is dated, but I do not mind dated hotels. I think it adds character and when I say dated - it is 1980s-ish. Customer service was solid. He was super nice and really accommodating to my needs - what needs I had - which weren't many. I am pretty easygoing to with 1 night states at places I book last minute such as this."
"This is a beautiful new hotel in downtown Louisville. (opened May 2024) The rooms are very nice and spacious. with a huge full size mirror on it. The room setup includes a mini fridge, a vanity, a desk & chair that faces the window so you can enjoy the view, a large flat screen tv with Netflix capabilities, a garment rack (no actual closet) and a steamer (no iron/ironing board). The beds are very comfortable, neither too soft nor too firm. No worries about staying charged up while in the room, because there are outlets conveniently located throughout the room. (on the vanity, on the headboards and there is a charging pad on the nightstand). There is a barn style door for the bathroom with a huge full size mirror on it. In the bathroom there is a bluetooth speaker in the mirror that is great for listening to music while you get ready for wherever you need to go.The shower offers a rainfall & handheld shower head with great water pressure.Outside of the room, the beauty continues throughout the hotel. The lobby area is beautifully decorated with plants and modern decor/wall art. There a multiple seating areas available as well as a large meeting space that is also beautifully decorated. There is also have a bar and snack area that appeared to be well stocked. Onsite parking is available for a fee and includes in/out privileges with validation.I opted for the digital key, so I didn't have much interaction with the staff, however, the few encounters that we did have were pleasant. There is a rooftop restaurant, High Stakes Grill, but we never made it up to check it out. Although I really enjoyed my stay, I was a bit disappointed as we had specifically chosen this hotel to celebrate my daughter's birthday. Prior to our visit, I called to inquire about any special amenities for the occasion, and I was told that a Tempo-branded snack box with a birthday message would be placed in our room before our arrival. Unfortunately, when we checked in, there was nothing waiting for her. I understand if certain requests can't be accommodated, but it's frustrating to be told something will be done and then not have it happen. I'm not sure if it was a communication breakdown, but this was the one letdown during an otherwise pleasant stay."
"Very quiet & comfortable room. Very friendly & helpful staff. We have a fridge, toiletries, drip coffee pot, a/c, WiFi, phone & a t-v with a few channels. Convenient room in the lodge, steps to the footbridge to the caves. Grill & cafe are in the lodge with parking in front. This isn't for someone that doesn't like spiders or bugs. This is a national park & we saw big bugs & cute deer. WiFi isn't the best here."
"EhWorn out and worn down. Has such potential but needs updating and some dang paint badly. Lots of missing paint on door jams and nightstand had bubbles in the wood top.No fridges in the room. For the price each night a mini fridge is not too much to ask.And no vending except all the way back in the lobby? Elevator is is in the back, total opposite of entrance lobby."
"While at Spring Mill State Park, Tony and I stopped at the Spring Mill Inn. It's absolutely gorgeous and I wish we had spent the night there. We parked and walked around the Inn enjoying the Grounds and the gardens. If we ever go back to the area we will definitely stay at this gorgeous historical Inn."
"What a great place to get away from it all . The Green Mansion is like stepping back in time , only with all the modern amenities you could possibly need .Staff is friendly and so accommodating. We love , loved , loved staying here .What a beautiful place to do your events ,Wedding, Birthdays, Golf Outings etc .Chase, the properties manager is so friendly and very knowledgeable able the area .I think that of all the many places we have been able to visit , this by far has been the most pleasant and peaceful places we have been .The Green Mansion in Fall of Rough Ky is a gem ."
"We found this Bed and Breakfast while looking for lodging near Bowling Green. We were in town to go to the National Corvette Museum and Corvette Plant (which is only about a 15 minute hop down highway 65).This inn has a Gone with the Wind theme. The huge Victorian house is on a two acre lot in the charming town of Smith's Grove, Kentucky. We stayed in the Melanie room, which has a very comfy bed, sitting area and private bathroom.Fresh coffee is served at 8 am, followed by breakfast at 8:30. Both the food and coffee were delicious.Owners, Steve and Kathy are wonderful hosts. They are very friendly and easy to visit with, but not hovering. Both mornings we were there we lingered after breakfast visiting with the owners and other guests. We spent one nice afternoon chatting with another couple on the large front porch. The small town of Smith's Grove has a gas station, several fast food places, a good Mexican restaurant and LOTS of great antique shops. We will be back!"
"Awesome place, if you're visiting Radcliff or live here and need time away to recharge this is the place!!!"
"I had a nice stay here during a road trip from TX to MD. It was my first time in Louisville and I couldn't not stay in the downtown Bourbon District!Despite it being COVID-19 times and nothing in the hotel was open, there were still some good restaurants open that were a short walk away (Doc Crow's, Wild Eggs, etc.). The staff at Aloft were professional and my room was real clean/modern. I like how they sell high-end bourbon in the lobby (George T. Stagg and Pappy Van Winkle 15 year).Aloft is a great hotel chain!"

I was put up here by the University for an interview the next day. Be sure to look for the sign because the house itself is nondescript and you will drive right by if you aren't looking. Parking is located in the back or they will give you a pass to park on the street if you want. The proprietors are great guys and made me feel really welcome! The second I arrived he showed me around the place and to my room, highlighting the place for breakfast in the morning and the rules of the place. In the morning, breakfast was at the table. It just included some muffins, fruit, cereal and coffee, but it was good. Had a great chat with Rich while I ate and with some of the other guests. The only thing was that since it is an old house the walls are paper thin. I had a couple of guests in the room beside me come home from a late night and angry with one another who felt like arguing at 2am. To their credit, they got the hint really quickly and toned it down after I knocked on the wall. If you are looking for a nice little place that's different from the norm then stay here. Very hospitable!

I ate breakfast here a couple of times while at hotel. The breakfast was standard. Nothing fancy, but they offer a normal buffet and off the menu options. Wasn't blown away by anything. Service was a tad slow.

Here's the thing. I'm from Louisville. Louisville has a couple of historic hotels that have existed in this city for a long time, and Louisvillians tend to have some weird feeling of nostalgia for them, despite most of us having never stayed at any of them. The Seelbach is one of those hotels. I had to travel to Louisville for work recently, and I decided to stay at the Seelbach. My excitement quickly turned into "Oh dear" when I got into the room. Before I go into the negatives, I'll say that the hotel is clean. No complaints at all there. The staff have also been accommodating, and the location is great. But where the Seelbach falls short - the rooms are tiny. There is a musty, unpleasant odor that comes from the drains in the bathroom, the furniture in the room is old and kinda rickety, and the toilet tissue might actually qualify to be medium grade sandpaper. And then I remembered something... The Seelbach is owned by Musselman Hotels. Back when I was in college, I worked for Musselman Hotels. I worked for them for 4 years, and lemme say that it is in no way a surprise that this hotel feels as cheap as it does.If you're looking for a hotel in downtown Louisville, I would stay almost anywhere else. If you do choose to stay at the Seelbach, you won't hate it, but you won't really love it either. You will likely be underwhelmed.

This is a pleasant place. Not bad at all. It's old, but they keep it clean and in good repair. It was the cheapest place in town (besides the really shady places like a Red Roof inn), that's why I booked it. They have free coffee and doughnuts in the lobby in the morning starting at 7:00am. Staff is really friendly too!

First time going to a Tempo so I was very excited. Check in was easy. Found the room quickly. Fully booked restaurant upstairs but had bar seating with my family and we still had a great time! Food was amazing. A little expensive, but I was celebrating anyways so it didn't matter to me. Their breakfast spot was also top notch as it was my to go back to VA and it got the bill for me. Back to the hotel room. The room was really nice. Barn door with a HUGE, basically floor to ceiling, mirror to the bathroom with a Bluetooth mirror and some good water pressure in the shower. Steamer, no iron but I didn't check to see if I could get an iron either. The TV was big and had a Netflix connection. Overall it was a great experience. Would I stay again? Yes, but my view wasn't the greatest so I'd probably choose one I could see more with

We came out of a cave tour and ended up eating at their food stand. We ordered the veggie burger and it was very good. The service was fast and on point.

My spouse and I wanted to go to check out the openhouse for the newly renovated Spring Mill Inn. The openhouse was November 20, 2024. They have reconceptualized the inn. The construction lasted two years. As you enter the inn, you will discover they have done away with stairs and curbs. When you come inside, you will find a ramp where the front desk used to be. The front desk as well as the shop are connected to the sitting area. The restaurant and lower level are redone. The pool is gone. it will be replaced by a splash pad. They have added walk in showers to a couple of rooms. they plan to add a second elevator on the outside with a glass enclosure. Of the indiana inns, this will be the most handicapped accessible inn in indiana.

"This place is so gorgeous and the owners are so hospitable. The house is immaculate and the owners so graciously gave me a complete tour. The amenities included a gorgeous and comfortable queen bed, jacuzzi tub, Keurig , and a lovely parlor and sitting room as well as two decks! The breakfast was simply spectacular. We were served homemade quiche and waffles! You could tell that the owners spent a lot of time preparing for our visit. I definitely recommend!"
"This Super 8 is a great deal, so convenient too. It's not too far away from Mammoth Cave National Park, so it makes for a nice home-base as you are visiting the Park. Really had I known, I would have planned to stay at least a couple of nights total to explore more of Mammoth Caves. The price is a great value, with a free breakfast it's a lot of bang for very little buck. There is a pool and jacuzzi, they looked quite inviting. We did not take advantage of these options only because we were a little beat coming back from our Cave tour early in the day. Checking in was a breeze, the clerk was very friendly, got to love this area of the country, we find friendly folks are plentiful. Breakfast was good, eggs, sausage, bread items, oj and more. We fueled up ;) on the eats for the next part of our journey. There is a cute gazebo area out the backdoor to sit at while enjoying your meal, how special is that. Remember this is a Super 8, so realize it's not going to be fancified, but it is definitely good enough. The room was quite clean too!Yes I'd stay here again."
"We came here for a work retreat. We were pleased with the accommodations and meeting spaces. The food was included in our package and it was ok. They had both a salad and soup bar and a hot bar option. I ate a lot of salads during my visit. Breakfast was similar a hot bar. The rooms are somewhat dated but it worked out just fine. I loved the balcony view which looked right into the woods, so serene. We also had a team building activity which was so much fun! They planned such a great event for us."
"Great location. Very clean. Kind staff upon check in. Spacious suite with separate bedroom area and has a large walk in closet too. The kitchen had a two burner cooktop and dishwasher and refrigerator. You can cook in your room. Eat at the bathroom has two bar stools. Or relax on the couch or in the cozy chair. Near campus and across the street from the hospital. An IHG hotel!"
"We were so excited when we pulled up - this looks like a nice new hotel. When we walked in the front door, it's still look great - clean and new. The unfun began when we got to our room. it almost looks like they ran out of money the moment they finished the exterior. Or perhaps it's a work in progress. Or perhaps that's how they build new mid-tier hotels these days. This may seem like minor nitpicking, but itIs certainly an inconvenience. There is NO place to put your clothes other than hang them up in the closet. No dresser, one drawer on the floor - see pic.The seating area has a sofa, nothing else. See 2nd pic. Just found the refrigerator, very very happy. I will check in every day as we're here for four days and share our experience. It should be noted that I did change my review after about two hours, changed it for the better. Yeah there's some things that are definitely missing which is why it's four stars. (I have been super generous after my earlier versions) That said, it is spotlessly clean, the AC works real well."
"The Brown County Inn is such a lovely place to stay with thoughtful amenities all throughout the property. The staff is friendly and welcoming with fresh brewed coffee right at the front desk in the morning! The menus are well curated for bigger-city tastes. Rooms are simple, comfortable and clean. I can't wait to return with my family - rarely do I see playground equipment at hotels to help wear my little one out! There is something for everyone at this resort-style property."
"We chose 21c Museum Hotel because it was walking distance to our client business location and the Hotel sounded like an interesting place to lodge. The hotel was originally the Fayette National Bank, known mostly as the First National Bank. The bank vault with its original door is a private dining room. The Hotel is a combination contemporary art museum and boutique hotel chain. 21c Museum is exhibiting contemporary art from various ambitions. Some of the art exhibited is quite out there. The rooms seem to project a 60's trendy contemporary design with blue penguin statues on every floor in the corridors. I did have breakfast in the restaurant and order an off the menu avocado & pouch eggs which was very good. Overall the Hotel was very comfortable and the staff very accommodating"
"Overall a good stay, but was surprised that bring the property has renovations going on in the lobby in early June. The property is off the road in a business park. So no signage can be viewed from the main road. Parking is plentiful and bonus no charge. Check-in was excellent with friendly staff. Info on the hotel provided. The value was outstanding for my one night. My King Suite was fine, no issues. Appears they had done some renovation. The complimentary breakfast was good with made to order omelets. The area was clean. I would recommend and return."
"The room was very clean and the bed was comfy. We stopped because I was feeling sick on our road trip back to Texas to Ohio. The hotel was pet friendly. Ours had a small bathroom with a toilet and shower and then there was a two person jacuzzi tub in the bedroom. Unfortunately since I didn't feel well I didn't get the chance to use since I spent all of my time in bed. There were two chairs and a desk area as well as a mini fridge and I believe a microwave as well. I didn't hear any noise coming from the walls but since our room was on the first floor near the check in desk and the breakfast area there was a lot of noise that came through the door. The one thing I didn't really care for is the AC, it never seemed to really cool down inside. It wasn't unbearably hot but not comfortable when you don't feel well."
"We were in E'town for a family funeral due to a sudden death (very sadly and unfortunately). However, in the midst of such difficult circumstances, I am glad that we found SS. It appears to be the newest of the many hotels/motels at this particular highway exit. The staff was wonderful, the room just about as nice as a Hyatt Place suite, and the pandemic breakfast options just as (pandemic) limited. Fortunately, we had a Keurig (and brought extra coffee!) and a microwave (for John H.'s morning oatmeal). An evening walk around the cluster of hotels and restaurants was ok, too. Thanks, SS, for a providing a pleasant shelter during a somber weekend."
"This hotel had everything we needed. Two bedroom suites. EV charging (free, too). Convenient location.I checked in on the app and used mobile key. Never even went by the front desk. Just straight to the room, stayed and left.Would definitely stay again."
"Wow! This was a very nice hotel. Employees were over the top! Our stay was outstanding. The restaurant area was very clean. Parking lot was well lit and appeared recently paved. Complete turnaround from how this hotel looked in 2016. They spent major time and money to update this location. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Rooms were clean and spacious. The breakfast was stocked well with plenty of options. Location was accessible and close to other places like Krispy Kreme"
"This review is specifically for the restaurant. We recently visited the state park for the morning and popped in here to grab lunch. "Down home" is the best way to describe it with classic indiana comfort foods like chicken and noodles, sugar cream pie and hearty breaded tenderloins. They also offer a lunchtime soup and salad bar which I opted for. I enjoyed the ham and beans alongside the loaded soup. Our entree offerings were a little on the slow side to arrive but overall customer service was solid. Eating healthy here isn't the easiest but their menu is fairly extensive. You'll find the restaurant on the second floor of the lodge. It appears they have an overflow room idea for private events. The hotel itself features a large indoor water park and gift shop. I can't speak for the hotel rooms but I have stayed in their small rustic cabins before."
"Went to the area for a concert at Beaver Dam Amphither. This place is right down the road and very convenient. The staff were all very friendly. This is an older establishment- but they have done some updates. This is not a high end place. This is a stop for the night and get back on the road in the morning. The room was clean and the bathroom was redone. The bedding was older and there were several places that could be patched or repaired. If your just driving through and need a place for a few hours it'll work."
"Making memories while waiting for our NICU baby to come from the hospital. I was happy to find this hotel to stay while helping my son and his wife with their two girls. The location is perfect! So many stores and restaurants nearby. The staff deserves a 5-star rating! Starting with Cory who cooked up the best Hampton Inn breakfast I have ever had. Day after day his excellent cooking skills and friendliness made us feel so at home. The housekeeping staff headed by Victoria were superb. The room was immaculate and they made sure we had everything we needed to be comfortable. Jonathan was amazing when one of our girls got sick and we needed special assistance. He we quick to respond and made us feel like family. I love this Hampton Inn!!"
"Located in Nulu area get it new Louisville. Decent modern room with basic furniture and a fridge. No pool. I believe they have a gym. Sunday morning buffet option for 17 dollars - European style but will bring premade eggs bacon and potatoes. Bar in the lobby. Parking garage behind hotel. Small commissary for drinks and food. This is part of the Marriott chain."
"While on our way to Louisville, KY I looked up hotels for the night we would be arriving. We came across Galt House Hotel. It appeared to be right in downtown Louisville. They had two queen sized beds, in the prime location which is really all we cared about. We stayed here for one night December 29th - 30th. The nightly room rate was $117. This was a really nice hotel in downtown Louisville, then I remembered, I totally forgot to check what they charge for parking. I went back to my booking and saw it's $30 a night. I just didn't want to believe it, so I called Galt House Hotel to verify, and sure enough it was $30.As soon as we arrived in downtown, in the very center was The Galt! My friend dropped me off with our luggage while she went to look for a more affordable parking option. The front lobby was beautiful! It had massive sparkling chandeliers, it was super clean, the marble floors were basically reflective. I went to the front desk to check in. The man who checked me in was very friendly, but I wish I had listened to him when he told me how to get to my room. My room was on the 10th floor, room 1009.You don't just go to the 10th floor and take it from there. That's what I did, then I realized the man was telling me this because there's a bit more to it.To arrive to my room I had to take the elevator to the 3rd floor, then take the long hallway they call the "west wing" then take the elevator to the 10th floor. The hallways were all spotless clean. Our room was big with two very comfy queen beds. It had a huge window where you could see all of Louisville from up high. The bathroom was also pretty spacious, with a really nice shower, and plenty of plush white towels. There were double sinks in the bathroom. We also had a safe, a hairdryer, an iron and ironing board, a fridge and a coffee maker in the room. There was plenty of storage space in the dresser as well as hangers in the closet. We had no issue with the TV. The room was quiet, we couldn't hear any of our neighbors. We both slept very well. Check out was at 11:00. My only minor disappointment was the $30 parking fee. We found parking a few blocks away for $11. Forget finding parking on the street, that is very unlikely. We were both very pleased with our stay at the Galt House Hotel in the beautiful city of Louisville, KY. I would for sure stay here in the future."
"Have to give it up to the staff for allowing us to come in and take over for an impromptu photo session! We had breakfast and some iced coffee and got to be as silly and goofy as we wanted! And the photos came out lovely. Thanks for sharing your space and being kind and supportive- like just the encouragement alone makes it such a wonderful experience!See y'all soon for our staycation for new years!!"
"This place is so much fun! Great view of Lake Nolin with delicious bar food. We had a catfish sandwich, fried chicken sandwich, and a kid's chicken nuggets and fries. The service was above and beyond. Our wait was a little longer than expected due to March madness games and the FOH was kind enough to get a kid's meal for us while we waited for our table. They also had great live music and a fun atmosphere. We'll definitely be back. Thank you for excellent service, food, and kindness."
"Really nice multi room home where you can get your own room with private bath! Perfect for a big group of friends or family coming to Madison to stay for one of the town's many festivals! You have a full kitchen and tv area. I loved that it was filled with movies to watch! Watched Planes, Trains, And Automobiles to get me siked up for the ten hour drive home the next day! Great location, I loved running in the morning in downtown, very walkable to shopping and coffee shops!Kathy the owner is super nice and made sure everything was great which it was! The fridge was even stocked with wine and fancy beer? Rad bizness alert!"
"We stayed here for our company Christmas dinner.Very nice upscale boutique hotel at The Summit. It's walking distance to several shops and restaurants.Their bar, 33 Staves, has great food and drinks. We realized that they also have a private tasting room and a banquet area for larger gatherings.Their staff were very helpful.I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone coming into Lexington area."
"Clean clean clean, no losers hanging out in the parking area! Decent price too! I would recommend this little hidden gem to anyone!"
"I stayed in this legendary Louisville hotel for a few days last month while I was in town for work. I had heard great things and saw all the lovely reviews so I didn't hesitate when I booked online. This hotel is right in downtown Louisville, across from a library, next to several restaurants, other hotels, and even the Palace Theater. Once inside it definitely feels like you flew back in time several decades. From the piano player in the lobby to the fancy sit down restaurant and bar, it was definitely an experience. And you can't forget all of the derby memorabilia and elaborate wallpaper. The same vibe continued as I made my way to my room. It was rather dated in some areas. My biggest complaints were that I had a few issues with my television, there were exposed wires in many places, the wifi was poor, and it was freezing in my room... even though it was 85 outside and I didn't have the AC on at all. I actually saw a staff member bring up a space heater for another room down from mine... maybe I should have asked for one too. Oh - I also had some issues with the parking and garage but the folks at the front desk were able to get it all sorted out. While the southern charm is evident in every nook and cranny of this hotel, I simply prefer a more modernized space when I travel. The experience was fun, though."
