"La Rosita has the best, most authentic tacos in Louisville. Everything here is good. The chicken is delicious and juicy and perfect in their tacos, burritos, and tortas. I'm here once a week--it's that good. The staff is very friendly and efficient. They have an open kitchen, so you can watch your food being prepared and if you so choose."
"Love this place so much. Didn't think I could love it any more but now they have a fresh food section!! I am so happy. I will be shopping here as often as I can."
"Stopped for a late lunch after touring Buffalo Trace distillery. Ordered two pizzas for the four of us. Both were excellent, especially the crust. Service was quick and very friendly. Good option near the distillery."
"Paul's is on my summertime route while out running errands and shopping for the week. I love the hometown feel of it and can usually find everything I'm looking for when I can't make it to the farmers' market.Besides the fresh produce you'd expect to find, my favorites are their prepared foods and confections. I'm addicted to their original pimento cheese that has just a little kick with the addition of jalapeños. Spread some on a toasted bagel or roll with a thick slice of fresh tomato and you're in heaven. Their fruit dip and deviled eggs are also delicious for picnics, gatherings, or packed lunches!Freshly baked pies (available in slices, halves, and wholes), cake, and candies are always tempting. But the items I can't seem to leave without a are the cubes of fudge (peanut butter/chocolate, yum) and modjeskas which I think come from Muth's. A little something sweet to end a lunch on the go or quick dinner at home."
"Hidden gem.Great authentic Mexican "fast food". Ordered the tacos - both Pollo and Chorizo ($2 each) - and they were freshly prepared and tasted fantastic. Unique selection of soft drinks. The table sauces were a great compliment to the tacos. No frills kind of place - which makes for a great lunch spot."
"This used to be a grocery store + restaurant. Not they have converted it into a restaurant full time. They have a variety of Mediterranean/Indian/Pakistani food items. They have buffet on weekends. Be ready to wait a while after the food is ordered unless you are getting the buffet."

This place was good but it just didn't wow me. The tacos were fine. The pastor was ok but I would prefer it had spent more time, or any time on a flat top. I prefer that little bit of crunchy char in the pork. Same goes for the chorizo. The tripa taco was the best thing I had. It was just really tasty. I didn't care so much for the salsas. The green was very tart and the red was a little one note. Neither really had any heat going for it. The place was doing a brisk business at lunch and the customers all seemed to enjoy what they were eating. It was a diverse clientele and that is always a good thing. These are just my opinions so take them or leave them. They serve a lot of drinks in single use plastic. I'm not a fan of that.

I've been coming here since they only had the small seating area in the store so I can't believe it took me this long to leave a review! There's never a wait and the service is what you expect of an authentic Mexican restaurant. I've never had any issues and one visit, they charged me for something I never got and they easily resolved the issue before I paid. You walk in, they seat you, and bring chips and salsa. I will say, I feel like their salsa definitely could be improved and I wasn't a fan of their guacamole when I ordered it once. I often get their horchata, which doesn't seem to be on the menus anymore (at least the ones I get), but it's quite good. I always order two lengua tacos and while I think I can eat a lot, just two fill me up. They're always very generous with the amount of meat given in the tacos! I will admit that the salsa verde is too spicy for me though, but limes are always given anyways. My partner loves getting their tortas and he always has a tiny bit leftover. With everything said, I think it's clear that this place is very authentic. After you're done eating, you go up to the counter to pay. I think the prices are very reasonable, definitely have a meal here!

The atmosphere was perfect, the picnic tables were great to play cards on. The pizza was very good and the beer was ice cold!

Paul's is always a great place to shop! The people who work there are nice and all of the displays, food and plants look so inviting. There's a deli in the back with prepared foods & foods made to order. I always like browsing the seasonal hostess gift displays. I get many beautiful plants at Paul's every spring.

Excellent place. Looks odd as supermarket and taqueria are next to each other, but this comes with a convenience...you can get additional products you want on your tacos or dishes and add them right there. Saw a gent add a full fresh avocado to his 3 tacos, nice trick! Tacos are excellent portion size and service is quick and friendly. Good prices too.Place is clean and inviting, on the informal side but plenty of tables and good chats with other customers. Ample plaza parking and quick service. At peak hour noon on weekdays service can get slower but it is still pretty quick. I'll be there often. Make sure they read your order back to you, as I got tripes and carne asada when I ordered barbacoa, but my replacement tacos were still very good. I've been there a few times now.

Great Food. Great Service.Amazing selection. The prices are very good. They now have a Buffet. They still have a butcher and meat counter offering Halal food. There is a small grocery section offering middle eastern items not usually found at Kroger.I ate a great lunch of Babaganoush, salads, pita bread, and a yogurt drink for about $5. - and I'm stuffed. Great fresh and healthy food.

I'm a self proclaimed taco junkie who's traveled to central Mexico and eaten at 100's of taco trucks on the boarder and up/down the California coast. So when I saw this place on yelp, I just had to give them a try. I kept it simple and ordered two pastor tacos with grilled and raw onion, sliced lime and a little verde sauce. The tacos come with sliced radish (very traditional). Tip-walk to the very back to order and pay at the counter located half way inside. I got mine to go. Aside from the tortilla being a little too soft/wet (likely my fault due to the to go option)... the tacos were Simple Perfection! I could do a dozen of these with a few cold beers! The staff was very kind. Worth staying and eating if you have time. So, if your in the market for two buck taco's, give this place a try. I'll come back and yelp about another dish next time I'm here.

"Sweet mystery of life I've finally found youuuuu!!" Ok, maybe breaking out a la Madeline Kahn from Young Frankenstein is a bit over the top but I've been looking for authentic Filipino food in Louisville for quite some time. Sari Sari closed as did a couple other Filipino-style food spots about town and it's really a difficult type of ethnic cuisine to find around Louisville. You may see touches of it in Edward Lee's cuisine or even at places like YangKee Noodle or at Joy Luck but unless there's another place I just don't know about, you're simply not going to find anything more authentic than the Filipino food at Anna's. It is straight up as close to showing up at mom's as I'm likely to find.Anna's is set up as an Oriental grocery, which seems to specialize in Filipino-style foods, however, the grocery isn't the draw. It's the little deli kitchen attached. I now know where I can get chicken or pork adobo with white rice, pancit bihon and lumpia Shanghai without driving the 3 hours to Mom & Dad's. And while I can make most of these dishes myself, I'm a bit too impatient to do it regularly. Plus, if you know anything about Filipino food, you rarely make a dish for one, you make it for 10. Food is cooked by Anna fresh to order, and portion sizes run large with nothing on the menu board over $8. The grocery side is sparse and I'll likely still use Lanceta Trading as my go-to Filipino grocery, but I can still pickup a good soy sauce here. There are a couple tables for seating & a slightly pervasive fish smell but nothing I'm not accustomed to.

"Stopped in for lunch today and found some AMAZING Mexican food! Very authentic, super friendly people, and some of the best tacos I've ever had. I ordered an al pastor tostada, a chicken taco, a steak taco and an al pastor taco. It was a bit too much food for lunch, but I ate it all because it was so delicious!!! They bring out the squirt-bottle red and green salsas, and they were great. I poured salsa all over my tostada and tacos. I probably went thru like a half of a bottle, the green was especially good. Sadly I'm moving away from the area but if I'm ever back in town I will definitely come back. I highly recommend it."
"Anna's is a small Asian grocery store specializing in Filipino food. It's located off of Eastern Boulevard in Clarksville. What it lacks in size and selection, it makes up for in warm service and delicious hot food from the kitchen. I was warmly greeted the minute I walked in by two of the sweetest ladies ever. They offered me an egg roll from a batch that they had just cooked and were snacking on. I was smitten from the jump. I immediately ordered at the counter, as I knew what I wanted before I walked in, thanks to Yelp. I ordered a serving of lumpia and some pork pancit. As I waited, I perused the small store and enjoyed conversing with the other lady. They were both so genuinely friendly and welcoming. My food didn't take long. She packaged it up to go, as I hadn't told her if I was eating in or not. I was glad she did this because the portion was huge! There was no way I could finish even half of it. In fact, I ended up getting three meals from that one order. The lumpia was tasty and fried golden. The pork pancit was equally as good. I chose the yellow noodles. Two people could definitely split that dish, and it was less than $7! Talk about a value. The grocery store is an abbreviated one for sure. However, in my opinion, it's the kitchen side of this business that shines. That, and the wonderful service, makes for five stars from me. I look forward to returning. Good food and kind hearts are located here."
"Nice place with a great selection of sout American and Mexican food items. This location is a bit expensive, but it is a convenient location."
"Affectionately known (at least around the law school) as Dirty Phil's, this little hole in the wall has dingy, outdated decor. But the food is great if you want a quick, diner-style, home-cooked meal!I can't even count the grilled cheeses and fries that I ate here during law school. It only really loses a star because I always forget that the fries have zero flavor if you forget to salt them or grab some ketchup packets. Oh, the misery of plain, unsalted fries! How could I have forgotten the salt?Still, some small part of my eventual coronary will be due to Phil's and it holds a special place in my heart as a result. For the uninitiated: order at the counter in the small dining area at the very rear of the restaurant. Then wait for your food to be called out. Take it to the register in the middle of the store, tell the cashier what you got and pay. (Strange to encounter a "fast food" place where you pay after you get your food, but that's the type of old school joint that is Phil's.)Two tips: try the fried bologna sandwich, and don't call it Dirty Phil's while you're inside! (That's rude, even if that's how everyone knows the place.)"
"Totally different and unique experience. This a is Hispanic Grocery with a restaurant in the back. When you get there you go to the back of the store and there is a Mexican restaurant. All of the patrons and restaurants staff spoke Spanish as their first language. It reminded me of trips to Japan or China in which I left the main tourist areas and had to figure out ways to communicate. My wife ordered a bottled water and I ordered some juice drink. Really not sure what was in it. The drink was white or watery in color and the wait staff called it "Aqua Chica". The drink was like a gritty water with a pineapple, banana and possibly lemon flavor. It was like nothing I have ever had.I pointed to the menu and thought I pointed to "Enchilada ". I actually received the item just above "Enchilada " which was "Chilaquiles ". I have never heard of Chilaquiles before. It was good. Chilaquiles is small fried triangles of tortillas covered in green salsa hot sauce and white cheese. Chilaquiles is flavorful and I am glad that I got it by mistake. The rice was bland which helped take the hot from the hot green sauce. The taco was good. I eat a little of my wifes. The ambiance was great. The wait staff really did not know what to do with us. Everyone was friendly but I think we were definitely not the normal customers. I will come back and try some more of their menu. It seemed like 90% of the patrons were getting some soup in the largest soup bowl I have ever seen in my life. All total with tip and everything we spent $21. I have never been to Mexico but this place seemed to cater to Spanish speaking folks. So maybe this was a cultural experience. Check it out if you want a very different Mexican food experience in Winchester."
"Best convenient store in Old Louisville! Only about a quarter mile from where I currently live. The gentlemen who works nights there is amazing and feels like a Lifelong pal"
