Leslie W. "Paul's is on my summertime route while out running errands and shopping for the week. I love the hometown feel of it and can usually find everything I'm looking for when I can't make it to the farmers' market.Besides the fresh produce you'd expect to find, my favorites are their prepared foods and confections. I'm addicted to their original pimento cheese that has just a little kick with the addition of jalapeños. Spread some on a toasted bagel or roll with a thick slice of fresh tomato and you're in heaven. Their fruit dip and deviled eggs are also delicious for picnics, gatherings, or packed lunches!Freshly baked pies (available in slices, halves, and wholes), cake, and candies are always tempting. But the items I can't seem to leave without a are the cubes of fudge (peanut butter/chocolate, yum) and modjeskas which I think come from Muth's. A little something sweet to end a lunch on the go or quick dinner at home."

Lorie L. "I am ready to come back on my own to explore Lavender Hill! It is a gorgeous plant/flower shop that also offers teas, chocolates, candles and decor. I know that I didn't get to experience it fully being with kids and a husband that kept talking to me. The plant offerings were reasonably priced and healthy. Pots and planters are available to round out the look. Flowers were sold by the stem or bundle. It's a great spot for gifts or to bring cheer to your own home. I especially appreciated the tea bundles, especially one marked "kick cancer's ass". I have a few close friends that came to mind and it's the type of gift we seek to find to bring comfort to our friends. Excited to have found this shop I keep hearing about and plan another visit."

Heather P. "This is the site of Lexington's real life gingerbread house. I've driven by this place hundreds of times. It's been years since I've been inside. While I was on a quest to find local places to buy Valentine's Day candy, I decided to make this my first stop.As I walked in, I was consumed by the aroma of the sugary goodness brewing in the back. Everything lined the walls and Valentine themed candy and boxes were on the tables in the middle. Nothing really tickled my fancy. I did ask about the chocolate covered grapes and the young lady told me that they were in the back. Never offering a sampling or any pricing details. Then I over heard someone checking out and being offered free samples. I guess that you have to purchase to sample. Weird business call if you ask me. I have had their candies before and I don't remember being blown away. This time I left empty handed and headed to Old Kentucky Chocolates, which was only about a mile away. There at Old Kentucky Chocolates, the candy was less expensive and they offered free samples. There at Old Kentucky Chocolates, I didn't leave empty handed."

Amy G. "NO LONGER SERVING BREAKFAST. Breakfast Wednesday- Sunday mornings. The homemade biscuits are amazing!! The house made bacon is not to be missed. The seating area is small and it is a little loud but it is a fun atmosphere. Check out the market items while you are there."
