"Came here in late October to table shop. They had a nice large selection floor to choose from. Workers were pretty helpful. We did find a table we liked a lot and it was actually a solid price. Due to covid we had like. 3 1/2 month for the table and chairs to come into stock. So not really overstocked. But covid has hit a lot of places hard. My biggest gripe is when my furniture finally came in they sent a text to make an appointment to pick up and the time to make an appointment was like 4-5 days out. Which makes no sense to me. It's literally driving to a dock and having them bring to your car. It's not like they would have Disney world type lines for an outdoor pickup. The stores probably are more crowded. So even saying it because it covid makes no sense. Frustrating spending almost a 1k up front waiting several months being told the item is in and having to wait another 4-5 days and trying to make sure that time lines up with a person you have to get with to borrow a truck or get help from. Not the best customer experience on that end."

"World Market is one of my favorite stores. I've been in sort of mourning since moving to Kentucky five years ago that there was no World Market nearby.THEN. I found out last month that World Market was opening in Lexington. Upon hearing that, I just had to come here as soon as I could. Fortunately, I had a doctor appointment in Lexington the day before they had their Grand Opening and was able to stop in to poke around and pick up a few goodies.It was such a delight to walk through these doors.This location is clean, spacious, and pleasing to walk around. World Market offers tiny shopping carts with seats for kids which was the perfect size for browsing with my toddler. And since it was around opening day, there were many people available to help me.I swooned over the macrame plant holders, the woven rugs and baskets, the international foods & treats, the simple and affordable kitchenware, coffee mugs, candles, the Christmas decor (unlike anywhere else), the nostalgic toys, the throw pillows, the quirky gifts, and more. It's kind of an eclectic store -- with a mix of international and fun. When it comes to gifts, you can probably find something for everyone here. They also have dining tables, chairs, couches, lamps, and other such furniture and decor for homes. Think mid-century modern. These are all a bit on the pricier side. (Not everything is in store - you can look online and get a better idea of these offerings.) If my entire home could be decorated with World Market, that would be amazing. We left with about $60 worth of gifts, marzipan, ornaments, and other trinkets for the holidays. I wasn't even planning to spend any money. Oops. I'll have to space out my visits so my credit cards don't rack up too much debt..."

"Last minute shopping for a box spring! We called ahead and asked if they had any box spring in stock, fortunately they did. The price was reasonable ($130) and delivery too ($75). We decided to avoid delivery cost and picked it ourselves! Staff was friendly and Kayla took care of us and we are happy with our purchase! The guys even brought the box spring to the trailer! Super service. This is a "good" and "affordable" place to get furniture, appliances and mattresses -specially when your box spring goes out and you not ready to spend more then a grand on a bed yet!"

"Fantastic shop with bright, fun items geared toward your patio and garden. The store is packed with furniture, planters, chimes, garden tools and hundreds of other items. It's overwhelming - I had to stand still and let my eyes scan the shelves. Digs was a nice experience but what it offers is very high end. Other than a random decor accessory , most pieces are far beyond my budget and what my home could hold."

"I ran into this store by accident and after visiting, here's what I understand. Ballard Designs is a company owned by Williams Sonoma, and has a similar feel to it as Pottery Barn. This is the first outlet in Louisville and was originally announced as a temporary location; however, it must be doing well enough to have stayed in place. It took over the space vacated by the now bankrupt Steinmart. There is nothing fancy about this spot. It very much feels like a dumping site for furniture and is organized by type/room. It is a land of rejected, broken pieces. The signage attempts to excite you - 50% off or more - but then you flip the tag to find out it is still outrageously overpriced on top of being broken. The facility is large, and most workers were either at the front desk or helping people wedge items into their trucks. I appreciated watching the quiet nature of the staff today as a customer carried on a conversation with the customer service team via her cell phone. She was a lot to handle and you could tell they didn't want to escalate the situation. Apparently this spot has a following. Bring a large pocketbook ... and duct tape."

"Went there this weekend. I had been in the store before and had purchased items at the previous location. I was looking for a specific item, which they had in stock and I purchased. I was looking for a very random item which they could order and I made that choice also. This place must not work on commission. I was assisted by 3 different people who were very helpful. There was no "high pressure, follow you from isle to isle" that you see in all other furniture stores. This is not a chain, it is family owned. If you need some furniture, wander in...chances are you will see the owners Mike and Denisa. They will be happy to help you find what you need. I don't buy much furniture, but I will be sure to put this place at the top of my list. (BTW, they sale much more than Oak items.)"

"We were in the market for a new couch for our formal living room & decided to stop by here while shopping in the area. They carry many high quality name brands and had a good selection. They were running a sale for Black Friday and gave us the pricing a few days early on a La-Z-boy couch. The sales associate who helped us was friendly and knowledgeable and we were able to pick up our couch the next day, but local delivery is also available for $69. A great experience and happy to support a local business vs another big chain store."

"Stopped in here to look for a mattress and left buying s bedroom suite and mattress. Great service quality and value!! It did take a few weeks to be delivered but worked just fine for my schedule. Joseph and Edward really worked hard in our old house to get the furniture up. The service was really great when we purchased it and also when we had our stuff delivered. This is a locally ow Ed store and is small but they can order anything you would like. We ordered a memory foam mattress along with our queen full bedroom set. Very happy with our purchase. We bought our kiddos bunk beds here years ago, glad we stopped in to look for a mattress. I came home with a new bedroom suite after the same one for 25 years."

Merridian Home Furnishings

"With its move near the Plainview neighborhood, this was our first visit to Merridian. Friends had long recommended the store to us, but the former location was nestled between stores and not obviously visible. Out of sight, out of mind! We were greeted right away by Sharon, who we let know that we didn't have anything in mind, "just looking". She was very polite in giving us space, checking in a couple of times to make sure we didn't have questions on things. The check-out counter is located in the middle of the store and it makes it easy to find sales reps as well.Merridian has beautiful items - some modern, some classic and things for every room in your house, plus accessories. Several things caught my eye but the prices are higher than my spending comfort level. Having two younger boys and pets, I am well aware that a $1,000 ottoman is as likely to get damaged as the $100 option. And, for some areas of my home, I'm not ready to commit to larger pieces. I enjoy having a cheaper "test" piece to make sure we use it and then making a larger investment in the future.Much luck to Merridian in their new location!"

"I love Charlotte's Web for cute furniture and home accessories. They have an excellent selection of high quality, durable furniture that matches (whole bedroom suits, for instance) and will look perfect in my home! It's just a pity that this place is so close to where I live, I spend too much time finding ways to spend money here. You could outfit an entire house tastefully, several times over, with the selection at Charlotte's Web. Every time I stop in, there is something that catches my eye and tugs at my purse-strings. Whether it's a small end table, a decorative serving dish, or a framed picture for the wall, I am always inspired by a visit here. The prices seem reasonable to me given the quality of the furniture that the store stocks. I hope you'll visit and find that Charlotte's web draws you in like it has done to me!"

"Brought a friend down the hill who used to live in Westport for a bite to eat at this great little cafe. I asked the young lady for a recommendation for lunch today. She suggested the Grilled Stuffed Spicy Pimento Cheese sandwich. I explained that I couldn't handle a "too spicy" sandwich. She assured me it would be ok. I ordered one of my favorites for the side; pineapple casserole.Wow, what a delicious sandwich!! Messy, but oh so good! It is made with homemade spicy pimento cheese, strawberry jam, bacon, and jalapeños( from a jar; not fresh, so not as spicy), on white bread that is all fixed like a regular grilled cheese sandwich. Nice and melts. I think this is my new favorite. It did have a little kick, but not too much for me. The pineapple casserole was a perfect side for this sandwich.Check out pics of this meal then get on down the hill to try for yourself. You will be glad you did."

"I came by, 18 month old in hand, to look at a new washing machine. I was greeted with smiling faces from the sales woman, Katie, and the general manager, a woman who's name I didn't catch! The place was clean and smelled like new stuff. Katie walked me over to the washers and told me about what she had in stock. I told her I was looking for something open box, she brought me over to the specific ones I was looking for. The store was well organized and made sense. My little one was a little hard to keep tame during my visit, but Katie was so patient with us and never made me feel like a bother. I appreciated it so much. I found a beautiful new washer for a great price. It was an open box with one small dent and they still offered and 3 and 5 year warranty on it. My daughter and I left and my partner came an hour later to purchase it. They don't hold unless you pay full price, but he made it back before anyone else snagged it. The general manager was very helpful to my partner and both of them explained our payment options. We were able to take it home for $50 and finish the rest on payments. They offer no interest for the first 101 days! I highly recommend this location, their inventory was great, the staff was friendly and helpful and we got a good deal."

Redefine Design on the Avenue

"This is a fun place to go when you're in the mood to hunt for that new-to-you treasure. Redefine Design packs a lot inside its showroom, with lots of furniture, art and knickknacks to peruse. I particularly enjoyed the floral room, which is packed with fabric flowers organized by color.And Redefine's furniture is not to be missed. There are LOTS of pieces, and it takes some time to take it all in. But you might find something great. For me, that was this wicker couch that would have been great on our patio. But alas, I waited too long, and it sold. Now I know to not wait if I find something I want. The prices also go down the longer a piece is for sale. So it's up to you if you want to risk something being sold in order to get a cheaper price. Come with some time to spend looking through everything, and either way, you'll have an enjoyable time."

"Red tee furniture is a massive multi floored furniture and home decor shop located in the popular and quirky Nulu neighborhood of Louisville Kentucky. Very thug about this shop is artistic and stands out. From the Nulu wildflowers mural by local artist Liz richter on the side exterior of the building, to the well placed and lovely decorated interior and finally to a wonderful alley that has not only more goods to shop for but a magical looking umbrella alley. The shop itself has a wide variety and is very cluttered but in an organized way. They have mainly home goods and furniture. Pricing is all over the place as they have lots of goods and lots of high end merchandise. Overall very cool store to shop at or just stop in and browse and pose for a few awesome photos ops. You could legit take family pictures or senior pictures for a school here. Great shop and a perfect placement for the Nulu neighborhood."

We were worried that we would have to wait months to get these due to shortages.But happily, Bargain Supply had a plethora of options. We are now expecting two stoves, two refrigerators and a dishwasher next week.Ordering was easy. We walked back through aisles and aisles of hardware goods. This part of the store reminded me of Harbor Freight. The back part of the store is dedicated to appliances with many to choose from.The prices seemed more than reasonable. Along with brand-new models, they have floor models and some scratch and dent options as well.Our salesperson was helpful when picking out what to get. He made some good recommendations based on these appliances going into rentals.Bargain Supply also delivers and can take away your old units.Our appliances are set to be delivered next week. I'll update this review once they are."
