"The best donuts in town. They are oddly heavy to the touch but fluffy you eat them. My absolute fav!"
"We heard so many good things about this place and finally tried them at last. It lived up to the buzz big time. We arrived later in the day and it got busy real quick. This small shop was a little overwhelmed keeping up with delivery driver and four takeout orders. They had sold out of the some things already. We got chicken, rice, and other stuff. Warning the ginger juice is very strong and needs a warning label. Can't eat in and has a small parking lot. Call early to get stuff before it sell out. You got to try this Caribbean gem at least once. I will be back many times to come."

"Run, don't walk to Back Deck BBQ to get some of the best, consistently high quality barbecue that this city has to offer. I first learned about Back Deck BBQ on a social media foodies group. I'm always eager to support a black owned business, so we went during the busy Derby weekend and were absolutely blown away. We've since visited several more times, taking multiple family members there, and each group loved it as well. The staff is super friendly and personable. The food is superb. Our favorites include the ribs, smoked sausage, and Mac and Cheese, though we've yet to try anything we didn't like. We always top it off with Lady J's lemonade (Blue Raspberry and Pink are our go-tos).We've never had an issue getting in and getting a seat, but seating is limited. There are several long picnic tables inside and some seating outside, so keep that in mind if you have a larger party."
"The Rolling Oven knows how to do pizza! And veggies! The wait for your food is worth it because it comes sizzling out of the wood-fired oven. Ingredients taste fresh and delicious! At this location, you order at the register and the food comes to you. The employees are AWESOME. Would go back again and again!"
"This place is really cool, tacos are delicious and nothing tastes better once you've been out all night than a few delicious tacos from this place."
"QUITE LITERALLY THE BEST MEXICAN FOOD AROUND. Fresh, amazing flavors. Fantastic & friendly service. The pollo tacos & burrito were 10/10 delicious."
"as my quest for the best burrito in Cincinnati continues I include my recent trip to the tacos locos food truck. Haven't heard read and seen all kinds of fantastic things I had high hopes for what they would deliver. Food up and ordered a steak burrito the Saturday before Father's day, they were running a Father's day special where you also got a free order of nachos with any order. I told them I wasn't a father and it wasn't even Father's day and they still wanted to give me free food. That's a definite plus to start! I also made a mistake when ordering my burrito and forgot to ask them to put the sour cream on the side, after I told them they said they already made it but would remake my burrito for me if I wanted, which is another big plus. Good quality customer service.so far things are looking pretty good for tacos locos, and whenever I got home the burrito look great. headset on the flat top and got in a little bit of crispiness, the cheese and probably melted all in there, they even pre-sliced it down the middle. I dug in... It wasn't amazing. It was definitely good, v steak was plentiful, and the cheese had definitely melted. However it was all kind of in with one corner of the burrito roll so it all melted into a clump. The beans inside were extremely rich, but also thin. I was absolutely happy with the purchase, and see it as a solid option. But not the best burrito in Cincinnati.Free nachos, by the way, were loaded up and solid as well."
"Great bbq for Kentucky. Glad it's available and would recommend. Not much more I can add."
"I'm from NKY and my son goes to physical therapy 3x a week at Frazier Uof L . While he's doing his thing I have been checking out the town and this restaurant cafe was fabulous! Home made soups were superb and their selection of hot and cold sandwiches were amazing! Service was quick. There's an alley behind the building that leads to a parking lot behind the building. Order at the counter and they will bring your food to you. I will definitely go back!!"
"These are the best balls to put in your mouth! You'll never want to stop eating these balls!Innuendo aside, SnoWhat remains the Food Truck Love of my Life. Once the sun starts peeking out on a semi-regular basis, even if it is still just around 65 degrees as a daily high, I start CRAVING SnoWhat snowballs. It's an addiction. I stalk them on social media so I can plan my days and weekends to just *happen* to be in the same area as the truck. They set up at street fests, music festivals, flea markets, and private events! You are going to see them EVERYWHERE. They are an extremely reasonable option for a corporate event/treat day. Want a little something sweet at your wedding? SnoWhat is here for you!I have my favorite flavors, sure. Lavender Lemonade and Butterbeer and where it's at! But I am ALWAYS game to be a guinea pig and try new flavors and branch out. April is a wiz at whipping up fancy and fun flavors! Coffee flavor with chocolate syrup or sweet cream on top, mint with chocolate syrup, birthday cake with sweet cream and sprinkles. And just when you think you've tried it all....a new flavor is devised!I am not sure if I can adequately express my love for SnoWhat. Maybe by also telling you that one time....I had 5 snowballs in one day.Basically...RUN, don't walk, to indulge in your new, soon-to-be-favorite sweet summer treat!Now...I just need to find a place to stage a group takeover where we stream Game of Thrones and have April implement my brilliant, all GoT themed SnoWhat flavor menu.... :-P"
"First of all a high-five to Spencer, the most energetic, friendly and efficient waiter we have encountered in a long time! This restaurant's sign caught our eye and we thought...why not?Housed in a former Denny's or Shoney's means it is roomy...but some of the seats show their age.The BBQ was nothing extraordinary but definitely tasty. The mac & cheese needs some work as the pasta was mushy. Choice of two sauces (1 sweet and 1 hot )I would return if in the area again."
"We just love this place! We there quite often but today my review is for their catering service. We used them this weekend for a rehearsal dinner for our son's wedding. It was so good and everyone enjoyed it so much. We knew our bbq would be great as always but the Mac n cheese was over the top good. People kept going back for it! But for me the star of the show was the apple crisp dessert. Wow! You really need to stop in and try this. I'll be getting this on a regular basis now! Great job to the catering crew, the cooks, mgrs, and the owners Kevin and Melissa. You guys make Martinsville proud! Keep up the great work!"

I wasn't sure about giving this place 4 or 5 stars. I only had the glazed donuts so hard to give 5, but have no reason not to. The owner was very friendly, reminded me of how Bardstown road used to be in the mid-90's. The glazed donuts were good. Looked different than other glazed donuts I've had but tasted great.

They have pompano today!! Once I confirmed by phone that they do indeed have pompano today, I quickly placed my order. 30 minutes later, I picked up my fried pompano meal! It consists of a whole fried pompano smothered w a hot (or not) relish, on top of beans and rice. The relish is made w tomatoes, onions and Scotch bonnet peppers. It is tasty, savory and 4/5 on my hot scale: hot enough to make me sneeze, but not enough to stop eating, lol. The sauce is great mixed into the rice, too. As far as whole fishes go, pompano is one of the easier ones to navigate since there is only one central bone. I polished mine off quickly. I will definitely come back for more!

i may be biased because my boyfriend used to work here prior to us meeting and swears up and down its the best pizza in the world, and i fear he may be right hahaha this genuinely is the best pizza ive ever had! and that Classico sandwich?!? its been a couple weeks since we ate here and im STILL thinking about the sammy i'm not a beer girly, but the bartenders are super friendly and helpful with making recommendations and i appreciate that one of the bars offers beer AND cocktail selections! also loved the feel of the 2 buildings being separate, yet open, with a central outdoor courtyard area- if i lived in lex i would be here every single weekend, but for now it'll just be our go-to staple when we're in town

Been back here several times. The first time I had their stuff it was at an event but they're typically stationed in the Shell gas station lot. They are a reliable spot to get some tasty, authentic tacos. They have a nice variety of options and you can pick and choose to make a nice combination of tacos for $3-$4 per taco. The men in the truck are kind and helpful. I appreciate the picnic tables that you can eat at or hang out at while waiting for the food to cook.

If you haven't guessed yet, I have a fondness for tacos. Seems my lady and I are having tacos at least once a week. So, naturally, we like trying different taco spots (though we have a couple favorite go-tos, especially El Taco Bus). Tacos Locos had been on our radar for a while, we just hadn't gone together yet. My lady had tacos from there before though and said it was good, so after a while of thinking about it, we finally had some together. I was impressed for sure.Their menu was much bigger than I expected, loaded with different options for tacos, burritos, quesadillas, tortas, even breakfast options. My lady ordered a chicken taco and a chorizo quesadilla. I went with three tacos; one steak, one al pastor, and one shrimp. My tacos were really good, though the al pastor seemed to lack pineapple, and the steak was just a little dry. My lady really liked hers, especially the chorizo quesadilla, which I thought were excellent too. The salsa verde we got with it all definitely had a spicy kick! Which was good because we love spicy! Great taco spot for sure and one that's been in the Pleasant Ridge area for quite some time. I'll likely try one of their burritos next time. Wonder which one though... Decisions, decisions, eh? But no matter what you choose, chances are it'll be very tasty!

BBQ and Mac and cheese were very good. The green beans were over the top salty. Meat potion was smaller than I expected.

"Finally after of wanting to stop in got to check it out. The good was Fantastic the people were great. Went back for more and will definitely be back. I have sent few of my friends there. Did not disappoint. Can't wait to try more"
"So much more to choose from this place is not hidden gem it's the go to place if you come this way!!! My wife went with the smothered burrito it looks so huge. While I decided to try the Philly cheesesteak. There is so much to choose from and we haven't even gotten our awesome desserts yet. This is a Military friendly location!!!"
"Yum!It took me long enough to finally try FOB!And that occasion finally happened at the 2019 Old Lou Craft Beer Fest. There were several tasty looking and sounding food truck options there, but I wanted Korean tacos. So I bee-lined right to the window to order. I got two, one pork and one beef. They all come with lettuce, and you get to choose two other toppings per taco. I got one with kimchi and one with the spicy radish, both topped off with sour cream (in case the other toppings were too spicy for my stupidly delicate palate, the sour cream could help with that). The food was made quickly and ready to eat in no time. And it was delicious! The flour tortillas got soggy pretty quick and made eating messy. But as long as the food still tastes great...I can't really be mad!Super tasty, prepared quickly, and very reasonably priced! Why on Earth did it take me so long? And when do I get to eat from them again?!"
"I had never been to the former food truck but I just discovered the new restaurant at Zandale yesterday and it is great!! It's a fairly large place with many tables and even a lunch buffet ($11.99). I wasn't really in the mood for a large meal so I just ordered 3 tacos ($2 each). I tried pastor, Asada and compechanos (steak and chorizo mix), I really enjoyed all of them but the chorizo was excellent. They also have tortas ($6.50), quesadillas, and other Mexican street food favorites! They did not have a salsa bar but they have red and green salsa In squirt bottles that they bring to your table. I will definitely be back, very soon!"
"I love, love, love Pili's Party Taco. After living in DC for a summer, I'm always on the search for a good street taco. I think Pili's is one of the most authentic places for tacos or Mexican food in Bloomington.Pili's Party Taco has a selection of tacos, tacos gringos (street tacos with American toppings such as lettuce, tomato, sour cream, etc), and a selection of Mexican food that is ever changing like tamales, street corn, etc. My usual order is two to three al pastor tacos and a horchata. I love their al pastor because they roast the pork on a spit and you can see the pork roasting behind the staff. They also have three homemade salsas: mild, medium, and hot that you can put on top of your tacos.Even though that's my normal order, I've had many of their other food, and I've enjoyed everything I've tried. The staff are super nice and are hardworking individuals who truly enjoy making us happy with their food. Highly recommend Pili's if anyone sees their truck (usually outside the Bishop)!"
"The vibe is lit here! Walked in to De LA Soul bumping on the radio and the decor is perfect. Just past 18th st and Jefferson st this corner is occupied by sweet heaven. There is a lot or you can park on the street. It smells amazing in here, they even offer boozy cupcakes by the dozen if you want to order. Cake shakes, cookies, pies, slushies, they have it all I'd recommend dropping in and giving them a try. I got the strawberry crunch cake shake.. no regrets"
"I am obsessed with this place. I have never had lengua near as good. Every single thing I have eaten is amazing. Highly recommend going to try and one of each taco"
"These tacos will fill you up. Plus they are as authentic as it comes. I will have to go back to try more of the menu but the tacos were a great start. Suggest calling ahead to pre-order, they get busy and it can take a while."
"The steak and pork are amazing. At only $2 a taco these are the best. We ordered them for lunch at school. Quesadilla was large and loaded for only $6. Arrange for lunch or a dinner night. Delicious. Authentic."
"A newcomer to the Fern Creek area. This food truck doesn't serve burritos but does serve some amazing tasting tacos. Like most food trucks, the tacos use two small tortillas. Price per taco is $2. I think most people were ordering 2-3 tacos. I did order some tacos but also ordered a chicken quesadilla for $5. Quesadilla- rip off. SO small and nothing great about it. Go for the tacos. The food truck is located at the Valero Gas station and has couple small tables ( 4 chairs each I think) but most like me were ordering to go. There's another food truck that serves tacos and burritos maybe 10 minutes just down bardstown road but the tacos here I think were better. But maybe it was just because I was so hungry at 11pm on a Sunday. I'll have to go and taste some more of their tacos another time just to make sure I really did like them that much."
"To tell you the truth, I wasn't going to try to like this place. I'd been kicked out of my fair share of KOA campgrounds, so I came in with a grudge. The food was good pub fare. We ordered to go. The food was ready on time, and the bartender brought it right out. The place is all dressed out like an Old West saloon for some reason. I had the taco sampler, which was really good. Also had the fried cheese-- excellent. The menu is a little more appealing than just the regular tavern food around here. I can't say anymore about my experiences with KOA's people because I'm enjoined. Even though the place is decked out like the Old West, you can tell you're still in Illinois, so that's nice!"
"We love Comete Alguito! The food is cooked with corn oil and all of it is gluten-free, so it's a very allergy-friendly place. I had the veggie arepas and couldn't get over how tasty everything was! Also, the churros are divine. I highly recommend checking out this food truck!"
"The Str8 Drop food truck came to my apartment complex on Friday 9/22/22 and we got two orders of wings and fries, plus the chicken teriyaki dumplings. Our food was ready within ten minutes, which was great because the truck was very busy! The chicken wings were a good portion of meat because the wings were medium sized. I preferred the smoked version over the buffalo sauce. The buffalo sauce was a bit greasy for me, and not very spicy (though that is personal preference). The fries were okay; they were not salted or seasoned. I was relieved that the teriyaki dumplings were plain with the sauce on the side, because I did not want them tossed in the sauce. They were nice and crispy. I always love a good dumpling! I would give the Str8 Drop food truck another try in the future, and switch up the sauce."
"A few people have told me about this raco truck in Advanced Auto Parts parking lot. I havent cooked dinner this week...so decided to try it out. I looked at the website and wrote down what i thought i wanted. Once i got there, i ordered a barbacoa burrito, chicjen quesadilla, 2 steak tacos, 6 barbacoa tacos, 1 cup of esquite corn and a side of rice and beans. The young lady that took my order was helpful and answered all my questions and even gave me some business cards and let me know that they will come to your job for a couple of hours or your neighborhood. That is awesome! As for the food. Had a couple bites of the corn and rice and beans. Both great. Ruce was very fluffy and the beans had a very hearty taste to it. The batbacoa tacos is my favorite!!! You mush get them. Little too much cilantro but i just took some off. Not enough sauces for everything i ordered. I will have to get extra sauces next time. Im taking the burrito and quesadilla for lunch the next two days but i just know im going to love it! My order came just above $40 and i left a $10 tip. Always tip!!!"
"Magnificent brisket. Meat from The Fatted Calf. Wonderusly prepared. Generous servings. If you can, get yourself anything from Cottons."
"D is an amazing cook trying to get a leg up in Georgetowns small restaurant scene and deserves the recognition. If you like a greasy spoon and a dive that leaves you feeling full and puts a smile on your face I've yet to find one better."
"My favorite taco place. The first place I ordered tongue taco as well and it was sooo good. I was scared but the meat is very tender and delish so now lengua tacos are my favorite. Their steak and chorizo are also good. They'll always ask if you want everything (cilantro, sauce, radish). They have other options as well. The burrito is massive and stuffed with the typical beans, rice, lettuce, tomato, jalapeños and choice of meat. The quesadilla can be greasy but filled with cheese and choice of meat - it's HUGE. Enough for two. They're usually open late night too and personally I've seen days where the hours range. They do have a table or two by the taco truck and cold drink options in a cooler on the outside. It's right next to the storage unit and a car wash. Park, order, be fulfilled."
"We tried this food truck at the Central Park spot while attending the U of L Percussion Band performance in early summer. Service staff were friendly and very fast from the time of our orders to when they called our names. We each chose a different flavor of chicken bowl. I tried the drunken chicken which was cooked with tomatoes and beer and served over a generous bed of white rice. I had a bit of indigestion afterwards, but it truly may have been me versus the tomatoes. We also ordered a prepackaged Kizito chocolate chip cookie, which made for some happy patrons. I would be willing to try another chicken bowl flavor version in the future before I retreat."
"Caught this orange food truck out of the corner of my eye and naturally I whipped a U'y to scope it out. Aha, taco truck! Score! What I stumbled upon was a one man show taco truck. A lot of menu items were sold out by the time I got there so I kinda had to settle for 2nd choice items. I ended up with a pastor taco and a couple Campechano's. For taking orders and cooking at the same time I was impressed, he didn't leave people standing around but kept food coming out. At first glance, the tacos took me back to my childhood when my mom would take me to Mexico and we would stop at the first taco cart we saw. Yes, cart not truck. Small simple tacos with just cilantro and onion. These were the gone in two or three bite tacos I remember that were so addicting that they're ordered one at a time as if it were a sampling menu. I could imagine this place on a dirt road in Tijuana bustling with groups of people shouting "Otro más!" While small, I do think the price is fair considering what you'd pay anywhere else and these were not skimpy. The pastor tacos were good, not dry as I find at most places. The campechano tacos had chorizo and steak. The steak was noticeably marinated and wasn't just chopped up bits of steak like you find at every Mexican restaurant you find around here. I still can't tell if the tortillas were hand made or bought. Either way, they were really good. They weren't bland and had a fresh masa taste to them. They also held up well and didn't fall apart after the first bite. The tomatillo sauce was great. Not overly salty and added freshness. IMO, tomatillo should complement not steal or ruin the show and this did just that. I may or may not be spoiled from my childhood in LA and ventures to Mexico so I can be a tough critic on tacos, but I also have a soft spot for nostalgia. I think anywhere else I might give this a three, but for this region, four stars easily. The tortillas were so good. The meat wasn't just a filler protein. Shockingly the tomatillo sauce wasn't over salted like most places. Overall, everything I had was good and stood out ingredient wise. I don't think it would crack any of top spots but this is so much better than what I am used to around here. Come hungry, come early, and don't go far. This is taco's but taco cart style, a la carte."
"First off let me say this place is in a great location, there's so much to do and the views of the water and downtown Louisville are emaculate! The service was a bit slow it seemed like he was trying to help the lady cooking and man the front order window and fix her mistakes all at the same time. Poor guy was doing everything and if I were to give this place 5 stars it would be because of him and his hard work. The food... Ahhh I really wanted to love the food. Prior to ordering I asked about the meats the chicken and the steak as I. A very picky eater. He informed me the steak is skirt steak and the chicken is thigh meat. So I ordered the bowl with half chicken and half steak... The steak meat quality was more like the hamburger steak meat stuff and kinda like beef fat. Although the chicken was thigh meat it was juicy and flavorful. I ordered half yellow rice and half cilantro lime rice. There was no yellow rice to be seen lol I believe I got half plain and half cilantro. Either way the rice lacked flavor and was very watery, unfortunately. I also got the vegan egg rolls, as you see on the menu it says 4 in an order, as you see in my pictures there were only 3. Apparently they ran out of wraps. The egg rolls were swimming in oil from end to end literally dripping but they were very crispy and hot which I loved but they were so oily and lacked flavor so. I would suggest letting the oil run off the rolls prior to serving them and adding seasoning to the contents inside for a better experience. With the rice if cooked properly it shouldn't be watery as it was, also adding saffron for yellow rice would make sense. This place has great potential and I will be back! The lady doing all the cooking and messing up orders needs way more training. Kudos to the guy holding it all together, you're doing great bro!"
"Came again and wanted to try some different. The staff was quick and brought my order to my car since it was cold out. Everything was so tasty."
