"Frank's is your classic donut shop where you can get perfect nostalgic donuts. This is a family affair with the owner, operator, and head baker being Frank's mother. Other members of the family work at the business as well. The service here was quick and friendly. The prices are affordable and they always have fresh donut shop coffee brewing. They have all of the classic donuts - glazed, cake, apple fritters, chocolate/maple frosted, and many more. They even have pastries to choose from. I think one of the great things about Frank's is that they have a drive through!"
"Inside the food court is this small counter with a nice assortment of donuts. Their glaze is sweet, their chocolate frosting is chocolaty, and their bismarcks are long and filled. The fritters are dense with apples, too. Not sure what else to say here, but I got all the donuts I paid for -- it was a simple transaction and the women who worked the counter were helpful, fast and friendly. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a tasty pastry."
"Was recommended these donuts by Yelp and at first was confused when we pulled up to a gas station. Went inside, was greeted, and and saw a large selection of donuts. We got a variety dozen and were very pleased with how soft and fluffy the donuts were!! Had to hold myself back from eating more than 3 at once! Clean shop, great donuts. 10/10 would recommend!"
"I've tried all the donut places in Etown, and this one is by far the best. They are always fresh, taste great, and are really well priced. They are a bit smaller in size in comparison to other shops, but then you can eat more of them lol..."
"Since I was 3 years old I have been going to Honey Creme to get my favorite donut holes. You better watch how many you purchase because these scrumptious little holes are easy to pop in your mouth and before you realize 2 dozen holes are gone. This little shop will brighten your day."
"Thank you fellow Yelpers for recommending Best Donuts. I'm from another state and passing through. They truly are the the Best Donuts Ever! I'm so glad we stopped by today. I've never tasted better donuts, and this will definitely be a stop for us anytime we are driving past Leitchfield. They are light, fluffy, the perfect amount of sweetness, and delectable!!"
"We LOVE donuts and the home grown authentic bakeries. St Matthews location quite impressive!! Our first visit got us 6 outstanding choices, filled to the brim and delicious!!! Since then, we've made several visits to the Fern Creek location. Our dinner dates have brought us there. Impressive......not so much!! Three different choices, nine donuts. They were hardly ok. We Always get filled. So where is it. See my strawberry cream filled!! Please take time to retrain employees there. He said, donuts blow up on him. What does that mean??? A good attitude, just needs a little supervised help to get to your high standards. I'm not messing around at $2.50 a donut. Kings will be my choice, once again. On the flip side, thanks for working with Door Dash. And a current discount with them. I will give the Hurstbourne one try before I give up. Please FILL those filled donuts."
"The place to go in Mercer County for donuts and breakfast sandwiches. Go early on the weekend - churches and school sport coaches clean out the baked goods. Breakfast sandwiches are hearty. Always quick friendly service. Drive through is convenient. Cash is King at King donuts. Credit cards can be used, but an additional fee is charged."
"My favorite bakery ever! I grew up in this town and worked here when I was in high school. I was excited to visit and to take my kids here. Everything smells the same and tastes the same. The tea cookies are my absolute favorite and the Tuna salad sandwich was exactly as I remembered it. Oh and the butter bread still tastes like all sliced bread should taste. I had to get my caramel sundae cupcake and it was delicious as always. My kids of course loved it and they even got to try the best doughnuts. I can't wait to visit next time I am in town again."
"Our out of state daughter ordered a Mother's Day Fruit Basket via 1-800-Flowers that was fulfilled by Lu Lu Licious Desserts. The basket was so fresh, so perfectly ripe and beautifully designed. My wife was so impressed, she felt compelled to call Lu Lu to thank her for our delicious gift. I'd post a picture, but I followed the instructions - removed the cellophane and devoured the basket within 24 hours! As Lu Lu, who is a celiac, specializes in gluten free products, we're going to learn a lot more about her business and enjoy the goodness of her talent!"
"Nice new business in Winchester. It is conveniently located near the intersection of Lexington Ave and the Bypass. One of the best features is all of their selection is listed on the drive thru menu board. Sometime you go to a donut restaurant place and all of the possibilities are not listed. So you end up ordering by memory and obviously you end up with the same thing.I ordered a mixed dozen donuts so I could try a wide selection of options. I also had an apple fritter thrown in for good measure.I enjoyed the fritter as well as the maple sugar donut. The glazed donuts were also enjoyable. The staff were friendly and the service was fast and efficient. I also ordered a small 8oz coffee. You really do not know how small 8oz is until you order one. Tiny cup. Next time I stop by I will order some more of their exotic donuts and get a 16oz coffee. Take a moment and stop by their drive thru and get you some Dounts to start your day off right."
"Today is another #Thank You Thursday and since it's been almost a year since my last review I thought I would update my review to say "Thank You." Since opening their business a little over two years, Jennifer, Spencer and Sean Mills have really improved their business. They post a "Sold Out" sign on Facebook almost every day. I think the product they turn out today is even better than it was two years ago. They seem to have weathered the Pandemic storm that has closed many of the LaGrange businesses. I placed my order for a dozen fresh baked goodies and picked them up this morning. The Bavarian Creme are scrumptious."

We were in Lexington briefly and I wanted to try some local donuts. This looked like the spot. All the yeast donuts were good and would order them again. We got a variety. The service was fast and the place was clean.

We have gone to Dough Daddy's for years. Unfortunately we live on the other side of Lexington and only get to make it there when we travel or go to the airport. We went today on the way to travel and it is awesome as usual!!!

Best donuts in Elizabethtown. Their classic glazed may be the best ever. Incredibly soft and delicious. Their donuts are very fresh, and the filled donuts are done as you order. They have a nice variety of traditional donuts; cake donuts, twists, apple fritters, long johns and Bismarck's. They also have pigs in a blanket and a ham and cheese in a puffy pastry if you need some protein. The owners are very friendly in their small cozy bakery. There is usually a line but it moves fast. No plastic, so bring cash. Interestingly they'll take a check for those still living in the 20th century. Get there early, they do close at 1230, but if it's after 1030 it's slim pickins.

I have been to this little donut shop one too many times. I keep hoping that the donuts are going to be better each time. Well it hasn't happened yet. You can get the same quality from a prepackaged store bought. Why do the always seem to taste on the verge of being stale? The creme filled was the biggest disappointment as the filling was very dense rather than creamy or fluffy. They seem to do a pretty good business and have been around for quite sometime, so maybe we just differ in what a donut should be.

The best donuts in all of the Harrodsburg, Lawrenceburg, Versailles, Danville, and Lexington area! The people are incredibly friendly and nice, and super patient if you get overwhelmed with all your donut options (: I highly reccomend the donut holes, and thai tea boba! King Donuts also makes smoothies, and bubble tea is no exception! The caramel smoothie is my friend's favorite to get here. I love this place so much that I no longer go to Starbucks for a pick me up drink, I come here. They are cheaper, you get more for your money, as well as you help support a small business. Go give them some love if you are close by, and if you aren't close, it is worth the trip!

"They open from very early morning(5:00 am?) to 1:00 pm. I had bacon egg and cheese croissant with a cup of coffee on my way to work. Croissant was so good! I like medium cooked eggs and not many place have that. But their egg was perfect for me! Coffee was too light for me but I'm thinking try different type of coffee beverages!"
"Great little donut shop, loved the little donut holes they include and price was fantastic!"
"This place was so cute & pretty inexpensive. Everything was absolutely delicious and fresh! A 5 star rating doesn't do this shop justice!"
"My favorite bakery since I was a kid!!! Lots of memories of my parents and grandparents surprising me with these donuts on random Saturday mornings. They are SO GOOD!!!"
"Wow, these are so much better than the chain donut places. All of their donuts looked very light, thick and fresh. And the ones we had tasted the same. We had the cronut (croissant/donut) which was my second time having one and the best cronut I've ever had, some of the chocolate sprinkled ones and a filled one.Everything tasted so good, soft and chewy and everything just melted in your mouth."
"Wonderful environment, kind staff, and great coffee & donuts! I love the Campbellsville University campus with the old brick and beautiful flowers."
"I live near a Dunkin Donut and a Krispy Kreme shop in NC; but these are THE best donuts I've ever had! Best of all, they freeze & thaw into "still amazing". This is definitely a neighborhood treasure. Every trip up I-64 now included a box of donuts for home!"
"In Lexington for a day and was lucky to be staying in a hotel next door to what is clearly an old school local institution. Nothing pretentious or fancy - in the best way. The service was SUPER friendly and she threw in some extra for me at the end of the day. I tried the caramel cake donut and ginger molasses cookie. Both were top notch. Texture of the donut was spot on!"
"Delicious drinks and donuts! The donuts are just everything's I'm not a donut oilers on but these pastries are delicious and the staff is very friendly. The place is very cozy and very inviting. Stop in and make your own opinion. But it is well worth it. My favorite part of the visit was..... where they have a sign and it says surprise me....: it is the best since I could not make my mind up, I had them surprise me with a drink. It did not disappoint! It was delicious! Did give them hints as to what I like in general with drinks. Please try the patties they are just the best! Then again that is my opinion. You should stop in and taste everything."
"Great people and the best donuts, I go there often and the prices are great, very clean with good drinks as well"
"The best protein shakes you could have! Amanda and curt are very helpful when it comes to nutrition info"
"This place came recommended by our AirBNB host and it did not disappoint! Fresh, handmade donuts-what a treat!"
"New restaurant in our community and we are excited to have options! We've eaten here several times before and have not been disappointed! They even have soft serve ice cream and Cappuccino Coffee!"
"I ventured into Plehn's recently to get some cupcakes to celebrate my daughter's birthday with family, and Plehn's was just perfect for this.First, it celebrated its 100th birthday this year. How cool is that!?!?And it's clear when you step in that it has accumulated a wealth of baking expertise during that time. Its cases were FILLED with all manner of sweet treat, from cookies to cakes to pastries to bread to my aforementioned cupcakes. The air was sugar-filled and beckoning. Plehn's makes beautiful cupcakes with a flower design in icing on top. These were what I originally intended to buy, but they were a little outside of my budget at 6 for $19. Not complaining about that -- I imagine each cupcake takes time and skill to craft. So I looked for something else, and I found Christmas-themed cupcakes for much cheaper. And bonus: Each was topped with a plastic Christmas ring! These cupcakes were intended for several kids (and adult-like kids), so this was a great option. I purchased a dozen of these, and they stayed moist and delicious until we ate them a couple of days later. Don't sleep on this Louisville bakery mainstay. They definitely know how to make sweets that sweeten any day."
"We love this donut shop! The Old-fashioned & custard-filled long John's are our favorites. They are all just delicious. The young man in there is f"
"Adrienne makes delicious cakes, donuts, cupcakes, and other desserts. I've enjoyed the Jeffersonville and New Albany locations for years, but had never made it inside this location in the Knobs until yesterday. This location makes the goodies for the other cafés that serve food as well as desserts. This one only has the sweet stuff. They have great hours and are open 24 hours from Wednesday to the end of the week. I came in the afternoon and they still had a nice selection of donuts left. I think this is due to the quantity made here. The donuts are great! I got a dozen for work the next day since I leave my house before 5am, and am often in no mood to stop that early. The donuts held up great until the next day and my co-workers had no complaints.Inside, it was clean. The service was friendly and efficient. The prices are good. They are conveniently located next to Billy Joe's Gas and Food Mart on US-150. I'm sure I'll return here."
"This bakery has always been a go to for our family through the years. It's family owned and operated. There's been a bit of a rough patch for a few months. Please consider supporting this business. Reposted, in part, from Facebook (Jon Reiter)...When you have the chance over the next few weeks and going forward, visit Williams Bakery in Clarksville. They're handcuffed by an endless construction project. They're also hanging on by a thread. This is a local business that has served our area well for decades. From New Albany or Louisville...Get on Brown Station Way and turn by the new wastewater plant, turn onto Clark Blvd., then head north. The road is broken up and it takes some effort, but it's worth it.Their inventory of baked goods, despite this, is as good as it's ever been. Support your local small businesses."
"Frank's Donuts is awesome! I've wanted to visit for a while, but I'm not in Georgetown frequently, so this past weekend when I finally got my chance I jumped on it! My cousin and I visited using the drive-thru, so I would definitely like to return in the future to walk inside and see the doughnut options prior to ordering. The quality of the pastries (we opted for doughnut holes, a cinnamon roll, and an apple fritter) is excellent! Based on that alone my rating would definitely be five stars, no question. The reason I dropped a star is because using the drive-thru wasn't a great experience. I know doughnut shops sell out of items quickly, that's understandable, but the first two items I tried to order were sold out (fine) and on my third attempt to select an item I was informed that a special pre-order was required (for conchas). I just thought that was strange, and the fact that it's not noted on the menu, but rather the item is listed normally with all of the other pastries, doesn't make a lot of sense. Overall, I would still definitely recommend Frank's though, because it's super tasty! I will definitely be returning to check out some of their other offerings!"
"I got 4 donuts. After talking to the person that works there, I got the following 4 types of donuts.1. Regular chocolate glazed donut with peanut butter2. Blueberry donut3. Caramel covered donut.4. Fruity pebbles covered donut.Blueberry flavored donut was my favorite. Followed by Regular chocolate glazed donut with peanut butter. There is peanut butter in it, so it should be somewhat healthier, right?Next favorite is the Caramel one. Fruity pebbles one is my least favorite. I would definitely go back to try more of their kinds."
"I think the staff is friendly and the owner is pretty friendly. I like their coffee and I'm kind of picky about coffee!"
"My chiro is in Meade County and I had passed the sign off the 313 for quite some time. This morning, I thought I'd give them a try.The red velvet will likely be my favorite. This is a cute little local shop that offers hours ideal for the neighborhood. Access in/out is fairly easy. The only thing I wasn't sure of initially was where to park.Portions are ideal and price is fair.I was received with a warm reception and prompt service. Didn't ask for a military discount.Worth a try again in the future."
"I don't know what inspired me to drive to Eminence for donuts, but I did it! I was doing something in Louisville and decided to make a small trek out to see if this place really existed or not. They had a good variety of donuts and, in all honesty, I don't have any ups or downs from all the donuts that I tried from the place. It was basically just a good donut place!"
"Sugar & spice is a longtime Louisville and fern creek neighborhood donut shop that has loyal allegiances. Several People swear that this shop located soft Bardstown road it is the best donut shop in the city and will die on that hill. It had been several years since I had been to this shop and it's usually because I do not wake up early enough to get the donuts. They have lines out the door as early as 5am from what I've been told (won't catch me making a 5am donut run). Finally the other day while taking my second oldest daughter out for some daddy daughter time (she always wants to bond over donuts and hot chocolate) I stopped in here around 830ish in the morning hoping they had donuts still. Luckily they had a nice selection still. The decor in here was supper cool and cozy and I liked how they had there donuts labels and on a shelf behind the counter instead of in a glass case. Was unique and different and I actually think I prefer it. Seemed easier to read and make decisions as you can stand in one spot and observe it all. We both got us a hot chocolate and a assortment of a dozen donuts. They let you mix and match whatever donuts they have without a crazy high up charge. Which is nice as the new things is to punish you for doing mix and match. Pricing was good. For the dozen and two hot chocolates it was around $10 (compared to a hot new popular place in old Lousiville I went to today that was around $35 for almost the same exact order). So can't beat that value. Me and my daughter spent our quality time dining inside in the lovely and homey scenery. Then brought the leftovers home to the rest of the family. I will say. I can see why this has a large following. The donuts were very tasty and had great flavor for the dough and the toppings. The hot chocolate was one of the better ones we had. The donuts are a tad bit on the tiny side. But for that taste and value good luck beating this establishment. Something that good you don't quarrel over size too much. We had a very cool and tasty experience here. Now that I know on a weekday that I can get in here on what most people consider early mornings (8ish) and still have great options I'll absolutely come more. I have 4 daughters and a 5th one on the way and as most can tell from my reviews I take the whole crew almost everywhere. But I do love my precious one on one time and I love this little tradition of hot chocolate and donuts with my second oldest. As of right now sugar and spice will be our go to spot going forward for our little trips together."
