"Simply Thai is incredible! The vibe is very casual. Chill lo-fi beats in the bar area where we waited for takeout. The guy running the register was super helpful! He knew the ingredients of every dish and was able to help us meet our dietary needs.Highly recommended for gluten free, df, egg free, vegan! They can make everything on the menu (except for things that are fried and the yellow curry) gluten free!! As far as vegan, they will sub out proteins and use coconut milk to make any dish vegetarian or vegan!"
"It's been a bit since I last visited, and in that time, Oriental House has gone through a big renovation. When I picked up my to-go order tonight, it was great to see its new space, with a large, bright bar in the front and lots of seating. The restaurant was packed! And the food is as good as always. I tried the Happy Family, with beef, jump shrimp, chicken and veggies in a brown sauce. It was super filling, and the meat looked to be good cuts. I will likely go with something else on a return visit, but it was still delightful. We also got sesame balls, which were a highlight for me. And I started with wonton soup. This soup came with three large wontons in it -- such a great treat on a cool night. My husband got the Szechuan Pork and said it was the best Chinese dish he's had in awhile. I was able to easily put my order in online, and it was ready within 20 minutes. The prices are fair too. Don't overlook Oriental House -- it's a Louisville staple for a reason."

"I had seen ads for this place in a local Facebook group and decided to try it with my husband today. At first I was nervous because the buffet area looked somewhat small, but I remained positive.Once we got our first plate we realized how yummy the food was. So so good and very authentic! Everything was good but my favorites were the fried rice, dumplings, crab rangoon, and Mongolian beef. I wish they had sushi but overall it was a good experience. The customers service could use a little bit of work to be honest, but I ignored the negative there.I'll definitely come back some time. I give it an 8/10!"
"This place used to be a frequent haunt when I lived in Bloomington. Always teeming with students and a very stern lady used to run it 13 years ago, not anymore though. On our way back from Spring Mill Park, we decided to keep our hunger at bay till we reached Lucky Express. Things seemed almost the same and food definitely good as before. We were hungry and nostalgic and wanted our kids to experience the food we had raved about, so we ordered too much ! Pork Dumplings that my son absolutely loved and wouldnt share. Veggie lo mein that was quite good and shared amongst us. Chilli chicken and Kung pao chicken - each bite flavorful and packs a punch! We got a lot of leftovers to enjoy later and wish we had more. If you live in Bloomington, you already know about this place but if you dont live there, please do visit this hole in wall gem."
"Tofu dishes here are delicious. The wife says that the home style tofu is the best tofu she has ever had. Every time we are here I have some variation of fish and tofu. Service is excellent. Highly recommend."
"Best Chinese takeout in Louisville! Super fast service, nice staff, delicious food. If it's Friday night and you don't want to cook, go get oriental cafe!"
"The absolute best Chinese in Southern Indiana! The folks are so genuine and helpful. The kitchen staff is sharp and attentive. The server doesn't miss a beat on any order. Their prices are more than fair considering the high quality food. I've tried quite a few different entrees and haven't had a bad one yet. Sweet n sour chicken, Orange Chicken, Kung Pao, they got it all. Their Lo Mein and Fried Rice is high quality. No cheap rice or noodles here. The spice levels are my favorite part. 1-5 on heat level. A 3 is perfect. Really brings the entrees to life. All the food is extremely traditional and very well done. The soups are great and the egg rolls are dropped fresh with every order. All the food is made to order and comes out hot and fresh! You don't have to worry about getting food that's been sitting around all day. Apart from the food and service the inside is very decent. Solid menus, tables, and atmosphere. What's not to Love? This is definitely one of the most well kept and greatly ran chinese restaurants I've ever been too, especially around here. If you're in the mood for chinese, China Bistro will not disappoint!"
"China One is my go-to Chinese takeout place right now. They're fast and the food is always hot and fresh. They seem to get a lot of orders that go out, so make sure you have your confirmation email or number pulled up on your phone when you go to pick up your order so they can be sure they're giving the right people the correct food - they'll probably ask for this info.My favorite menu items are the steamed dumplings and the chicken in a stick. We get them every time without hesitation. Then I usually go for something noodle based and spicy. I've never been disappointed, even when I accidentally ordered spicy seafood fried rice - it was yummy, too!The food here is so tasty I always forget to take photos. I'll try to remember next time I order out (which will probably be soon!)."
"When the food is being prepared by a family and served by them you the quality is going to be top notch..that is exactly what you get at Chow Bar. The food is outstanding and the portions are very generous. Definitely a must visit and we plan to go back there soon."
"Went to a friends house across the river and the group decided to order some Chinese food. The reviews led us to Onion Restaurant. A quick order through Doordash and here we are.The food, was... alright. Just not what I'm used to when it comes to standard American Chinese food. The garlic chicken was swimming in sauce and was oddly sweet. Hot and Sour was decent, but once again, oddly sweet. Egg rolls and the fried rice left a lot to be desired. Their saving grace: they threw in some fresh Chinese donuts.Had a pretty extensive menu ranging from boba tea to sushi. To sum it up: Not the best, not the worst."
"Best Chinese in Louisville. It's been around for years for a reason. It's a little hole in the wall, straightforward counter service Chinese. Very small, only like 4 tables, so this is very much more for takeout. We didn't call ahead for our order, just ordered right there at the counter and our to go was ready in less than 10 minutes, and during Friday evening dinner rush when they were very busy. Woman behind the counter was so nice, made sure we had everything we needed, and you can see the cooks in the kitchen making your food. I usually get the chicken dishes. I got General Tso's this time. What I love: the chicken is fried to order so it's super crispy and the sauce is so flavorful. I feel like other places the sauce soaks into the breading and it gets a little soggy, but not here. Their crab rangoon is perfection. Other places is way too sweet with a few flecks of crab and is more like a cream cheese wonton. Theirs is generously filled with crab, and it's savory. I also love to get a side of lo mein, which had a great garlic flavor. You get so much food. I got a combination dinner that comes with pork fried rice (amazing) and an egg roll (crispy and also amazing). It's a nice deal. If you need Chinese takeout, this is where to go."
"Asian Wok continues to be our spot for delicious, easy-to-order, decently-priced Chinese food. We most recently ordered from here over the weekend, and I was reminded why this continues to be my family's go-to. We are able to order easily via their online ordering. (How can a restaurant today *not* have this?!?) And then our food is ready, usually within 20-25 minutes. A recent favorite of mine: the Dragon & Phoenix, which is made up of jumbo shrimp with mixed vegetables, sauteed in white sauce on one side, with General Tso's chicken on the other side. It's a nice combo of flavors. The krab rangoon, sesame balls and egg rolls are also good. Don't sleep on this takeout spot!"

We went to simply tie the first time this week and I'm gonna say that I enjoyed myself. We got the chicken and rice and vegetable combination. For my meal and it was really tasty. I enjoyed the sauce they have in it. My wife came inside a pineapple which she thought was awesome and the service was nice and quick and the ambience was nice.

There is sadly no Dim Sum in Lexington. Since we were heading to Louisville for the races, we decided to check out Oriental House, recommended by some local foodies. While they don't have traditional rolling carts, the Dim Sum did the trick. How I love it! Very good and friendly service.46

This place was a pleasant surprise. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing, there were plenty of options and the service was very quick, never an empty plate or glass on the table for longer than a minute. The food was all delicious, I really liked how they had a good mix of American-Chinese and authentic Szechuan Chinese flavors. Some dishes I liked were cumin duck wings, clams, mussels, tripe, Mongolian beef, gyoza, mixed meat hot pot, hot & sour soup and pepper chicken. Pricing was fair, will definitely come back.

I ordered delivery from here and at first I thought it was a bit pricy, but once I saw the huge portion sizes it totally made sense. The food itself was amazing. The green beans tasted so fresh and still had a bit of crunch too them, and were so flavorful with the garlic. The tofu was also really great. The sauce was the perfect level of salty, sweet, and umami, and the portion was huge, I was able to eat it for dinner again the next day after frying it up with some rice.I'm so sad I didn't get to eat here again before I left Bloomington, would totally end up frequenting this place.

The food is very good and consistent. We always order takeout or Door Dash, so I know it's fast, but can't speak to the ambiance.

Their food is delicious, fresh and ohhhh soooo tasty! Whether you try their Chinese American dishes or more authentic ones, you can't go wrong. Also, I've been ordering from them for over 5 years now and they've never gotten my order wrong whether the food was delivered or I picked it up myself. Now, that's saying something about how much they truly value their customers. For a Chinese place, their sushi is also surprisingly delicious! The sushi rice is always seasoned well and they're not skimpy on the fish or other ingredients in their rolls and nigiri. I love their crazy roll, veggie roll, and yum yum roll -- all top tier compared to some of the more expensive places around here.As for what I usually get, their veggie teriyaki noodles, kung pao chicken (extra spicy) with egg fried rice, and delectable crab rangoon never fail. When I feel like eating "healthier", I'll order their broccoli (chopped small) in garlic sauce with added green onion and some steamed rice on the side. So flavorful! Finally, their customer service is 5 stars all day long! From the folks at the counter, to their wonderful delivery driver Shaun, to the chefs in the back working their magic, they are some of the nicest, friendliest and caring people you'll ever meet in the restaurant biz. For example, they ran out of a very minor ingredient in my fried rice and the owners were going to refund me an amount OVER the actual cost of the extra ingredient because they felt bad for the inconvenience which I assure you was non-existent. They told me right away that they ran out of the ingredient vs just charging me and having me discover after I had gotten home to eat it, that it was missing in the first place. Some places would have been that dishonest knowing that I probably wouldn't have driven all the way back after being charged for a missing item. Not here, everyone has been so nice and honest, and would always opt to make their customers happy FIRST over an extra dollar. Come check out this place, you'll LOVE it!

We were in Clarksville, IN and we were looking for a place to have dinner. We saw China Bistro on Yelp and it was only 10 minutes away, so we decided to give it a try. The place is in a mall and from the outside, it wasn't very impressive. We were there around 7p and oist the tables were occupied, good sign.We started with Steamed Dumplings and these were a pleasant surprise. The meat and accompanying sauce were unlike any we had tried, delicious. I ordered the Chicken Curry and Beef and Scallops. Both dishes were outstanding, but I did request that the Chicken Curry be prepared mild, but it still had plenty of heat (for my taste). All in all, it was a very pleasant surprise and we will return when in the area again!

"Hong Kong is a smallish hole in the wall in a small run down strip minimall In Elizabethtown. You could very easily overlook it but it's right next to a Sunoco minimart gas station. Directly across the street from a Domino's Pizza. All that location information out of the way, Hong Kong probably has the best American Chinese food in Elizabethtown. I am a total snobbish foodie and when I eat ethnic food I want it to be authentic and traditional; however, I recognize that in this area that no Asian restaurant could ever survive trying to serve authentic and traditional cuisine. In my opinion Hong Kong does the best job of walking the fine line of appealing to an uneducated palate yet still had enough of the traditional authentic taste that I can actually enjoy the food. One of the things I really like a lot is that Hong Kong will leave out vegetables that you either don't like or don't want in your meal. I have never run into a language barrier here and have been able to switch things up to make my order more appealing to my foodie taste. Everything I have ever ordered here I have enjoyed. Their House Special Egg Foo Young is very tasty and not something I would normally order other places in the area. So while this is not authentic ethnic Chinese cuisine, it is very good Americanized Chinese Cuisine. They also offer some other Asian type dishes but I have not really tried any of them. This is primarily a carry out or delivery place as their seating is very limited."
"Another dog show weekend, so I needed to find carry-oot. Doing a Yelp search, I found Chopstick, and what a great find it was. Great tasting food, accurate estimate for pickup time, reasonable prices, all the things we like. Definitely going on our Go-To list for the next time we return."
"Finally! A legit hot pot in Louisville. It was "Asian" level spicy, good and affordable. Also, if you're like me who can't always handle the heat, you can opt to have two hot pot, one spicy and one mild. On top of the variety of schezuan dishes that they have they also have the sushi menu and your typical Chinese menu. This place is a bit of a drive from Louisville but this is a complete worth of a visit. The place is clean and there's a Graeter's Ice cream nearby if your tounge can't handle the heat. Super super love this place"
"Listen, Pho is one of my favorite dishes. It's an easy comfort food that is basically impossible to screw up. It's broth, noodles, and a protein. This is probably where you think I'm going to say "this place sucked" or "I had the worst diarrhea". Well my friend, you'd be wrong. The pho was pretty solid. The noodles were a bit skinnier than I'm used to, it it tasted just the same.My wife got some dish I can't pronounce or spell, but it was good, too. My favorite thing we order was the appetizer sampler plate. Crab rangoon, chicken on a stick, spring rolls, and shrimp toast. I didn't even know what shrimp toast was, but I really enjoyed it.This place isn't classy by any means, but the food is good and I would gladly go back."
"We were very pleased with our food. It was ready for pickup really quickly. The staff there was super nice. Food tasted great. Would definitely recommend."
"Decided to come here because they had hibachi listed on their menu. It wasn't what we thought it would be when we arrived. I ordered the chicken hibachi dinner and my fiancé ordered the orange chicken. We also opted for the crab Rangoon since it's sweet. The food was served quickly. The presentation was really nice. I was not a fan of the hibachi - too sweet and I really wanted something savory. The crab Rangoon was lacking flavor but was better dipped in sweet & sour sauce. My fiancé was pleased with his meal. The eggrolls looked overcooked but he said they were good. I don't see us coming back here."
"This spot is located in College Mall, in the food court. The staff is very friendly. You do gets tons of food, but it just did not have the flavor I was looking for or that I have had at other similar restaurants. I ordered the spicy duck and could not even finish my meal. The rice was bland and the spring rolls were not much better. The food is edible and not unbearable. Many people seem to like this place though, this is just my honest take on it."
"First time dining in here and loved it! Our waiter, Mario, was lovely. He was so sweet and a very attentive server. Everything was so delicious! Our table particularly loved the sesame chicken as our favorite of the entrees we had. Crab rangoons was different than any I have had before and they were delicious!! We ordered green beans, spicy edamame, crab rangoons, tuna tartare sushi, wonton soup, egg drop soup, veggie lo mein, kung pao shrimp, chicken lo mein, sesame chicken, and chicken and broccoli. A tonnn of food. Loved it!!! Only meh item was chicken and broccoli and egg drop soup because it has corn taste, maybe corn actually in it? Egg drop soup is one of my favorites and just didn't like it here. Otherwise really amazing meal with great service and price point."
"Really, really good. We walked over from our hotel, tired and hungry. This is a small restaurant in a strip mall, serving excellent Chinese food. My plate was loaded with beef lo mein, served piping hot, beef, noodles, onion, carrots, and celery all cooked in a perfect sauce. My husband ordered the peanut beef which was loaded with Bermuda onions, string beans, beef, bell peppers in a spicy peanut sauce. The food here is as good as we've had in Asia and we will definitely be back!"
"This was my go-to place for Chinese food when I lived here 25 years ago, and I'm not sure it's changed. But it's still pretty good! Especially satisfying fried dumplings, and I liked the cold sesame noodles too. I used to love the general's chicken, but it's now too sweet for me. But I assume that's my changing tastes rather than a changing recipe. Still no credit cards, even in this day and age."
"Delicious General So's chicken and fried rice! I wish I had ordered vegetables with it and was pleased to find wonderfully cooked broccoli inside. The disappointing part was that there were only 2 pieces of broccoli. The sauce although thick, and I'm sure sugary, didn't leave me feeling gross. This made two wonderful meals! The spring roll was okay to me. The order was quick and see ice was great!"
"Great, friendly customer service. I felt welcomed and appreciated. The food lived up to its best reviews. Fresh spring rolls. Sauce was tasty without relying on being spicy like so many places do these days. Best crab Rangoon I've had. Lunch portion plate was more than generous and excellent quality ingredients. Even if I'm not back to the same hotel, I'll walk to come back."
"Yen Ching is a family favorite. With covid we have been doing take out and I always get the egg drop soup, it's one thing that ever disappoints, We dined In Recently and it was ok, I had the lo mein. Others at the table has the same opinion."
"Things have changed a bit over the past few years. This has become our go-to spot for chinese takeout. The food is always consistently good. The pork dumplings, fried or steamed, are a part of the order. The noodle is thick but has a good sized piece of pork in the middle, plus the dipping sauce is sweet and savory. The General Tso or orange chicken is crispy sweet and spicy, I recommend the combo with with vegetable lo mein. Customer service is good, not a lot of chit chat but they get you hot food quickly."
"Sitting in PACKED restaurant lobby down the street with 15 of my retiree friends. It's the week before Christmas!! One and half hour wait at 1130am. I call Jumbo and she assures me, will set up table for us immediately. So down we go!! What a pleasant surprise for all of us. Eight or nine stations, give or take. Piping hot food, filled to the brim and constantly being monitored. You name it, they got it. Excellent choice of American dishes. The Mac and cheese looked delicious!! I love their salmon and whitefish. The soups, egg rolls, and Chinese donuts were wonderful. Big table of sushi, huge aisle of salads, cold shrimp, fruits, banana pudding, parfait desserts. Lunch price $10.95. Did add 15% tip for large party. Wonderful huge room in back. But again, let me note, the food is constantly being monitored and filled. Piping hot!!! Before I left, I asked about Christmas. They will be open from 11a til 8p. Lots more seafood. They say, oysters, snow crab, etc. With a price of $18.95, what a deal!!! So join the Parker family (A Christmas Story), let it be your Christmas Story....Fa ra ra ra ra, ra ra ra ra!!!!!"
"I stopped in here a month or so ago to pick up some dinner to take home. I was in Sellersburg, hungry, and craving Chinese. I pulled out my phone to check Yelp and see what was close by. Although I travel to the area often, I hadn't noticed this place due to the location and the fact that I rarely come down that road. The reviews looked good, so I opted to give them a try. It's a typical carry-out place with a few tables. I placed my order and waited at a table. My order came up quick. They handed it to me a said, "Here's your sesame chicken.", which was a problem since I had ordered Mongolian beef. I ordered by the number on the menu (not the name), so there was a mix-up in our communication somewhere. They were nice and made my Mongolian beef, and the redo didn't take long at all. I had an order of crab Rangoon as well. It was the triangle-stuffed type. It was full and had a nice flavor. The Mongolian beef was really good. I have a hard time finding places that make it right. It's easy to get it with no sear on the beef and lacking in flavor. This was not the case at China Food. Their Mongolian beef was cooked perfectly and wasn't bland. The portion sizes on both items were ample and the prices competitive. I won't hesitate to stop in here again. Recommended."
"Really good food. We had a fried rice and a sesame chicken combo that came with egg roll and fried rice. All food was piping hot, flavorful and delicious. The sesame chicken was lightly breaded and tender, egg roll tasty and rice great. Located in a strip mall with plenty of parking and inside dining available. It was not super clean in the resturant or bathroom but.... service was fast and prices reasonable."
"Decent American Chinese buffet, close to Ark Encounter. Especially loved their bourbon chicken (like elevated teriyaki chicken), BBQ chicken skewers (like Chinese BBQ pork seasoning), general tso chicken (more spicy than usual), Chinese donuts, and their ice cream (4 flavors including butter pecan)! Their broccoli beef is a little spicy."
"Decent little Chinese restaurant that has about all the same things you can expect from the other establishments. It was ok for me nothing great but the prices were good. The rice had a little too much onion for my taste. I could have done without those"
"I cannot wait to go back for hot pot.We just got dumplings, Shanghai noodles, and Kung pow chicken... SO DELICIOUS. I'm usually underwhelmed by Chinese food but this was truly fantastic. Service was fast and friendly. The hot sake went perfectly with my meal. You have to give this place a shot."
"Great Wall has been offering the best fast Chinese food in the area for years. Since covid, there is no longer seating offered for dine in...but they ensure your food will still be hot when you get home. They will likely be busy, but it's worth waiting for; just plan ahead!"
"In my family, there are always disagreements over what we're having for dinner. If we land on 'asian food' now we have thai, chinese, sushi, japanese, all the options - only one place can make everyone happy, and it's Asuka. Yes it's in a strip mall, but once you're inside, you have a great atmosphere and plenty of options. Several hibachi tables if you want to see an onion volcano and fire. Noodle bowl options. Sushi. Really a little bit of everything. The sushi options are plentiful and reasonably priced. When you ask for spicy, they'll check with you before they let you do it, and that's a good idea because if you say 'super hot' they'll make your eyes water. Terrific service, and every dish has been among the best in Bloomington. On my last visit, I opted for the Kung Pao Chicken, extra spicy. My eyes were watering but it was flavorful, spicy and a great portion size. Sushi as an appetizer, also great. Son had hibachi chicken (we didn't set at the hibachi table) and he said it was just what he wanted. Highly recommend."
"This is my go to for Chinese in Evansville. From dining in to taking the buffet to go, I have yet to be disappointed! There is ample parking and they have several tables and booths if you are opting to dine in. On this visit I got my food to go. They have several food options on the buffet along with a hibachi grill and sushi station. Fair warning tho if you are getting your food to go there is a per piece charge on the sushi. Always great service and checking out is a breeze. You weigh your food and they bag it up with any utensils and sauces that you may need and out the door you go. Simple as pie!Highly recommend coming here to enjoy some amazing Chinese food!"
