"Food for lunch buffet is n ever disappointing.Several different dishes and meat to choose from. The price has gone up,so we go 2 or 3 times a year for birthdays and special occasions! The servers are polite.I still say it is Lexington #1 in Indian food."
"There are lots of hustles and bustle going on here. There wasn't waiting to be seated. This place has a handful of rooms they can plop you down in. Great for large groups(we even had his service dog). Service was efficient and pleasant. Food was hot, stocked, and ready for the choosing at the buffet. The cost doesn't break the bank either. Where do I start? The blue cheese dressing g was pungent and filled with creamy chunks of blue cheese....yummy! Make sure you try oompah potato salad( homemade stuff always gets me)Left this place thick as a tick. Please just roll me into my car. Thank you"

"Every time I come to Kentucky, it's generally for a big racing event so of course people are waiting in line to go to Tony's or Frank and Dino's or Dudleys. But no trip for me is complete without coming to masala. The food here is just phenomenal. It's a touch on the pricey side which I feel like it's kind of been a trend with Indian food as of late. But you won't be disappointed with the quality or the portion size. This is just a little hole in the wall and a shopping center. That's pretty close to the freeway so it's very convenient to get to. The non-is so fluffy and hot and it just makes a perfect pairing with the sauce even though I know that's not how you're supposed to eat it. I also love all of the vegetarian dishes. This time I got the mushroom matar and the spice level was just exquisite. I took home all my leftovers for a meal the next day. And even though I had to refrigerator, I was gross and let it sit out and then I ate it anyways ....cold. And you know what... That shit was still good If you like Indian food, or even if you've never had it, and you want to try it; this is your spot"
"Delicious combos, vegetarian is so flavor filled and big enough to share. Apologies for not knowing the names of the dishes and I truly believe you just trust the experience and enjoy it.Friendly staff. Extra casual clean ambiance, truly hoped my dishes would have come out in the serving tray... but maybe next time. Very Good!"
"This place has been great every time we've gotten food here. We've only ever gotten takeout, but it's been an awesome experience each time. We are pretty basic, but we love the naan, the butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, and saag paneer. We love the flavor, portion, and spice level. We really are very lucky to have a place like this in Etown. Any time we have a craving for Indian food, we know Namaste is here for us and is consistently great. We'll have to eat in one of these days!"
"Tucked behind Paul's Fruit Market is a small, unassuming restaurant that serves up some of the greatest Indian food around. My only wish is that it had not been such a raw, ugly, stormy day so we could have had the opportunity to sit outside. My entree was the Lamb Vindaloo (A spicy and tangy lamb curry cooked with potato cubes and light coconut milk). I asked for it to be spicy, and it sort of was? But not to the level I would have liked. Still extremely delicious though. Then, my friend who is mad for all things bread, ordered three huge naans: Cheese, garlic and bullet (Naan stuffed with green chilies and spices). These were crazy good and were so big there was a ton left over. I definitely want to try all the flavors!Service was prompt and professional, and the ladies who brought the food were so nice. Great place, if you like Indian food you will love it here!"
"I had seen ads for this place in a local Facebook group and decided to try it with my husband today. At first I was nervous because the buffet area looked somewhat small, but I remained positive.Once we got our first plate we realized how yummy the food was. So so good and very authentic! Everything was good but my favorites were the fried rice, dumplings, crab rangoon, and Mongolian beef. I wish they had sushi but overall it was a good experience. The customers service could use a little bit of work to be honest, but I ignored the negative there.I'll definitely come back some time. I give it an 8/10!"
"A hidden gem, and I love all their food. I came here with my friend/coworker for lunch, and we both thoroughly enjoyed our meal. I ordered the Oasis platter and an Arabic coffee. Delicious! I highly recommend this place. It is a family-owned restaurant, I think. *thumbs up* If you ever stop by here, don't miss the parking lot entrance; there is plenty of space to park your car."
"Came on a Monday evening so there was no wait at all. Sat ourselves as directed and was quickly greeted. Food was amazing! The fish came out fast and was a great snack while we waited on our entrees. While we were sitting we could hear commotion from the kitchen which sounded like arguing but it didn't concern us so we just chatted but it brought attention to how quiet the restaurant was. No music or audio to drawn out personal conversations. The tvs were later cut on. Dinner came and we tore it up! Got full half way through and took the rest to go. I'm in love with Indian cuisine and will definitely be back, sitting farther away from kitchen!"
"This is a bit off the road trip highway commute, but worth it if you like comfort food! It's about a total 10 min detour going there and back to the highway. Cafeteria style setup - you go through the line and pick your entrée, sides and desserts. You kinda need to have a plan before you start. Check the menu and decide if you are doing a dinner - entree with sides - or AYCE - a few bucks more but unlimited. I opted for unlimited because I knew I wanted a dessert and once I added that it was only a $4 difference. Let me tell you I made that $3 up in food! I was lucky there was a local in line by me and she gave me the scoop so I was prepared. I tried just about EVERYTHING (see picture of my plate lol). Here's my faves:-fried chicken, get a couple pieces, its that good-meatloaf, so moist and great flavor- mashed potatoes, perfect texture, buttery flavor- cheesy brocolli - delicious- mac n cheese, LOVED the sauce and it was a bit runny which I like- buttered noodles, LOVE the noodle and had a good flavor-coconut cream pie, amazing texture, best cream filling I've ever had!-bread slice with homemade peanut butter, so soft and warm and WOWThings that were good, but I wouldn't order again because, well see above lol- lasagna, heavy on cheesy, I prefer meaty- chicken and noodles/dumplings, kinda plain, not my preference- chocolate cake, was dry, I didn't finish it (I know I can't believe I'm even typing this lol!)Once you have your tray you pick a seat and eat. If you purchase all you can eat and want more but the line is full, don't worry employees come around to check on you and they will grab you an item so you don't have to wait again. Overall the stop is very efficient and tasty. The food is better than I even hoped! The service is friendly and helpful. One employee even offered to put runny items in their own bowls which I greatly appreciated! If you are driving by - STOP HERE!If you live nearby - GO HERE EVERY WEEK! I can't wait to be back in the area and come again. I'm already plotting my plate :)"
"One of the best buffets around the variety of food is top notch. The grill where you choose your own everything including your sauces to make the best noodles or rice dish of your liking is great. They even have hand dipped ice cream. Service is good and the restaurant is huge"
"Buffet was good and it had steak on it. And place was clean. Service was good and friendly."

Another meal, another GREAT choice in Lexington!! SO MUCH variety, a beautiful setting, and DEFINITELY something for just about every appetite! I've been craving Indian food just about any and everywhere for a WHILE now (hard to believe it used to be just about LAST on my list...) and while visiting friends in Lexington, I checked Yelp for our options, and we managed to get in here with barely a wait on a chilly weekend evening. My friend and I shared a veg. samosa app (yum, esp. the tamarind sauce) and two chicken curry entrees (chicken curry and chicken patia (curry w/mango) which were both very good, but so close to the same thing that we were both left wishing for a bit more variety. PLENTY of leftovers, including two tasty and VERY filling varieties of na'an. NEXT time, we'll be sure to order two less similar entrees!!Come hungry, leave STUFFED!! Great service, reasonable prices, and if you're in the area in the afternoon, what looks to be an AWESOME lunch buffet!! NAMASTE!!!

This place has everything that I'm looking for in barbecue: great meats, great sides, and a truly original sauce. The buffet has all varieties of meat. The mutton is not to be missed. I love lamb but had never had it barbecued! So good, and it's very specific to this region. The sides are amazing. If you grew up in this area of Kentucky, these sides are traditional as they come: green beans, navy beans with ham hock, stewed apples, soft sweet carrots, okra and tomatoes, etc. The distinctive sauce has a bourbony tang, and the very hot sauce has a spike of vodka. Not too sweet, not too acidic. The dining rooms are large, homey, and clean. Sweet servers. I've been meaning to come here for years because this place is often ranked #1 in Kentucky for barbecue, and my grandparents were from Owensboro. The online reviews always seem surprisingly low for such a renowned barbecue place, but I think that's just it! People like to say that it's overhyped because it's gotten some attention. But truly, this place is worthy of the traffic it gets. And if you don't like the sides, I guess you'd hate my grandma's cooking too because this is very authentic. (And honestly, I don't know what to do with you if you'd hate my grandma's cooking!)

Have ordered to-go a few times but went in person on Sunday and man...it definitely tastes better in person! I ordered chai, chicken makhani, and garlic naan. The chai was okay but the chicken makhani and garlic naan were incredible. The serving size is HUGE. We had enough for two leftover meals! Service was good and relatively quick. It's not super fancy just about 15 tables inside but you will be full and happy like I was when I left. I would say my usual order and experience is 4 star but when we went the other day? Definitely 5 star.

We had a fantastic meal here! I love Ethiopian food and have tried it on several occasions. My husband... not so much. It took some convincing to get him to try it again, and we're both very happy we did. We started out with the appetizer platter Abyssinia Beyaynetu. We really liked it, it was a great way to start our meal. We then got the meat combination sampler 3, as it was a gehe at way to try as many things as we could, and it served two people. We got straight into it and didn't leave anything on the plate. To cap off the meal we got some baklava. It was huge, I was expecting a little two-bite treat but it was nearly the size of my hand. And it was delicious. The ambiance is relaxed and unpretentious, and the staff is lovely, attentive and helpful. This is such a unique and delicious eating experience that warrants several trips back. Would highly recommend!

Good food but would prefer more rice, and naan to come with meals. Good service, helpful. It's partly a grocery store too so not as romantic or classy but still nice. Restrooms were not that nice. Ordered Chicken Tikka Masala, and Murgh Chettinad with chicken. We said medium spicy but the murgh was a 7 and the Tikka was a 5. I love the Indian spices and so a 5 was plenty for me.

So went here thinking that there was a lunch buffet, unfortunately no longer offering it. Info needs to be updated on Yelp. Nonetheless, pleasantly surprised with the taste and freshness of the food. Everything ordered was amazing. The flavors have no words, just the right amount of spice. The sauce provided was outstanding. Fast and pleasant service provided. So much food, had to box the left overs. The place is small and clean. Parking lot available. Definitely highly recommended if you are looking for something different, tasty, fresh, at a reasonable cost. Can't wait to go back and try other dishes.

This place was a pleasant surprise. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing, there were plenty of options and the service was very quick, never an empty plate or glass on the table for longer than a minute. The food was all delicious, I really liked how they had a good mix of American-Chinese and authentic Szechuan Chinese flavors. Some dishes I liked were cumin duck wings, clams, mussels, tripe, Mongolian beef, gyoza, mixed meat hot pot, hot & sour soup and pepper chicken. Pricing was fair, will definitely come back.

We got lost, our GPS couldn't locate Bella Cafe & Grille so we were at the parking lot across Oasis and ended just eating late lunch here. Don't be fooled by the interior of the restaurant. Our server explained the meal and was very attentive. We tried the combo plate for 2. It comes with everything including side of pita and hummus and salad. Boy it was plenty and delicious more like meal for 3. Happy tummy!

"I was a little worried about giving Ole South a try. Buffets are nor usually my choice since most buffets are about quantity, not quality. I was also worried if the BBQ sauce was going to be the vinegar dip variety. But I had to complete the Owensboro BBQ trifecta.Well...those two fears were quickly put to rest at Ole South.I chose the buffet so I could sample everything. I ev3n ate a salad at a BBQ joint but that's boring to talk about.I had fried chicken, chipped pork, pulled pork, chipped mutton, potato salad, beans, Mac and cheese, slaw, mashed potatoes and gravy, cinnamon apple, broccoli casserole, green beans, and creamed corn. You can't go wrong with any of the meats. There are two BBQ sauces - a thin vinegar which I didn't like but the thick and smoky was an accurate description with some sweetness. The potato salad was unique as it seemed like it was a redskin variety with some pimentos and other things.Cream corn had a fresh and delicious flavor.I remember I didn't like the broccoli casserole and the cinnamon apple didn't ha e much cinnamon.Burgoo was very mutton heavy. Dessert was included as well. The bread pudding was my favorite out of tue desserts. Sweet tea was refreshingly sweet. All of this was worth the $15 plus tip I passed out. I will be making a trip back to Ole South in the near future."
"Sitting in PACKED restaurant lobby down the street with 15 of my retiree friends. It's the week before Christmas!! One and half hour wait at 1130am. I call Jumbo and she assures me, will set up table for us immediately. So down we go!! What a pleasant surprise for all of us. Eight or nine stations, give or take. Piping hot food, filled to the brim and constantly being monitored. You name it, they got it. Excellent choice of American dishes. The Mac and cheese looked delicious!! I love their salmon and whitefish. The soups, egg rolls, and Chinese donuts were wonderful. Big table of sushi, huge aisle of salads, cold shrimp, fruits, banana pudding, parfait desserts. Lunch price $10.95. Did add 15% tip for large party. Wonderful huge room in back. But again, let me note, the food is constantly being monitored and filled. Piping hot!!! Before I left, I asked about Christmas. They will be open from 11a til 8p. Lots more seafood. They say, oysters, snow crab, etc. With a price of $18.95, what a deal!!! So join the Parker family (A Christmas Story), let it be your Christmas Story....Fa ra ra ra ra, ra ra ra ra!!!!!"
"This review is for takeout only. I'm from Louisville but I've been going back and forth to Evansville and I'm *always* looking for a good Chinese buffet (as they are far and few between). I'm telling you: THIS is the spot! The food is hot and fresh and the selection is excellent. They've got the usual salad/dessert areas, hibachi, FRESH sushi, a small selection of staple carbs for the picky eaters, and Chinese inspired dishes to choose from. Everything is labeled and this place is always packed! You can either be seated once you walk in or grab a to go box for the buffet (which is 4.99/lb for lunch) and load up your box. If you're considering coming here, please do! It's a solid place to eat, in my opinion."
"Take out fried rice is the way to go every time. I've never been inside, so I can't comment on that. But the price is great and the food is great every time! I always crave it when I'm home. It's great fresh and leftover. You can't go wrong!!"
"It's been five or six years since I've been here . I was craving Chinese food and kept debating about just picking one thing or going to a buffet . I decided on the buffet for the variety . They use to have a bunch of different bao buns and potstickers (so I was slightly disappointed that they had one kind of potstickers) and no bao buns .The egg rolls definitely made up for it though. The fresh green beans were so good I couldn't stop eating them! My favorite though from the buffet was the chicken and veggies. However the hibachi side is the star of the show . Everything is nice and fresh. People were just piling up their plates and waiting for the chef to cook their food . The wait time at the hibachi side was minimal. The service though, my server was friendly and attentive coming over every so often to ask if I wanted more sweet tea. I'd get up to get another plate and when I returned to the table had been cleared with the exception of my silverware. They also have fresh sushi which I have to say looked pretty decent .The dessert bar includes cookies , ice cream , assorted mini cakes and fresh fruit .For 11.99 for the lunch buffet you can't beat it &there's definitely something for everyone ."
"Where do I start. This little diner is awesome. I visit lots of little diners... and should definitely be leaving more reviews... but after walking out of this one I had to review it. The menu selection is limited but it hits all of the hot spots that a breakfast diner should. Nothing too complicated. The staff is friendly and the food came out hot and fast. I got in minutes after they opened and everything was already ready for the day. The diner is clean and overlooks the Ohio river so it was nice to watch the barges go by while I was enjoying breakfast here. Definitely recommend this place. It's awesome. Support local."
"I'm rather surprised to be giving a 4 to a smorgasbord, but I am. They deserve it.We were heading home from a long weekend on the road, and wanted something more than fast food, so decided to give this a try. It's obvious this is a local hangout. I was surprised how many of the wait staff knew the customers by name! Still, we received prompt, friendly service, even though it was evident we didn't know our way around.Everything I tried was great! One thing that impressed me was that they were constantly turning the food on the buffet tables. I'm not a fan of buffets as sometimes the food seems a bit old, but that wasn't the case here. Everything was fresh, hot and tasty. The price was quite reasonable for the amount of food (all you care to eat). This goes on our list of places to stop in town!"
"Having just visited another Chinese Buffet about a week earlier, I have a decent point of reference for this establishment. The similarities were amazing.Strengths: Lots of food for a low price. If quantity and cost are your motivation, you will do fine here. Plenty of room, plenty of parking, and generally clean inside. This place has some ornamentation at the lobby to make it look Chinese, and limited decoration inside the dining area.Cons: Customer service is just absent. After being asked how many in my party and what I wanted to drink, I was shown to my seat. And that was it. No one asked if I wanted a menu (they apparently do have them) or wanted the buffet. No one said "help yourself when you are ready". I received my drink and sat until I finally asked someone at the table next to me what was the procedure. Since I didn't see the host/server, I decided to do the buffet. The sushi is made in the back and set out in a bar without labeling. Fortunately, it looked fresh and colorful and I was able to figure out the ingredients on my own. They also had multiple bars of different varieties, like salads, Asian entrees, soups, and appetizers. I did notice someone bringing out refills on the food bins who took time to clean the counters while there after delivering the food. The food was fine, but nothing special. I did try some of the sushi, the egg drop soup, and a couple appetizers, but based on the quality of those, decided I had had enough. I walked to the front desk without a ticket and asked to pay and they found the guy who kept track of that. Again, the system and training for meeting expectations is not there. Maybe it's a cultural thing, but I expect to be greeted, offered a menu, and a wait staff to pay attention to refilling beverages, clearing plates, and bringing a bill. Otherwise, put up signs so that I know what to expect.Review #2007"
"We came here as part of a family get together with my girlfriends family. It was my first time visiting this particular Chinese buffet and I am actually fairly impressed. First off the staff actually cares about the place, they were running around grabbing drink orders, grabbings plates off of tables, etc. The selection isn't huge but they do have a sushi bar, but once again without the big selection. They had roughly around 5 different sushi types to choose from and they all tasted good with the exception of one that was subpar. The tables were clean, the staff friendly, and the food actually tasted above average for a Chinese buffet. That could be due to the fact that I was starving, but hey, we all come here to exhaust that. Overall I enjoyed the buffet and the entire experience. Will definitely be returning when I'm in the area."
"Very nice selection, we really enjoyed our meals. Nice to go up and select any raw meats available and have it cooked to your preferences. Four of us went and no one had any complaints. We've been back many times."
"Food was fresh and of better quality than your typical Chinese buffet. Attentive service. Friendly customers and a few seemed like regulars. Always a good sign. Restaurant was clean. I would recommend eating here if you were in town."
"True small town, food, great staff. Loved our adventure in eating. It tasted like scratch dinners my mom would make"
"Hibachi Sushi Buffet is a great place, but because of a problem with the service on my second visit, it took me three visits to get my review right. Such a dedicated Yelper!Hibachi Sushi Buffet intrigued me. There were grand opening flags festooning the parking lot. There were lots of cars there, but the Yelp reviews were pretty lousy. I decided to try for myself. The restaurant has clearly been remodeled and updated. The decor is what I would call "modern classy Asian." It certainly has a bit of an exotic feel, but without kitsch. There is a massive variety of prepared foods, including lots of seafood, on the five hot steam tables. The food is tasty, fresh, and served at a safe temperature. The restaurant also has a hibachi, where you pick ingredients and a chef cooks them to order. There is also the best sushi buffet I have seen in Louisville. Finally, there is a cold bar, and a nice selection of Asian desserts. Why did my review take three visits?I would have given Hibachi Sushi Buffet five stars based on my first visit. The food was good, and the service was good enough. On my second visit, the food was good, but the service was unacceptable. In my opinion, a server at a buffet only has three tasks. 1) Keep my beverage filled. 2) Clear used plates. (Dirty plates are gross, and I don't want to be surrounded by evidence of my gluttony. 3) Bring my check promptly at the end of the meal. If service is up to par, I will tip as well as I would at a full service restaurant, but on this visit, the server didn't do ANY of that. After waiting and waiting for the check (and trying to make eye contact), I had to employ my foolproof strategy to get a check; I put on my coat and walked toward the door. The server chased me down and accused me of trying to skip my tab. By pushing the right combination of my "buttons," she qualified herself to hear my unfiltered opinion. On my third visit, a different server was assigned to me. (The first one may or may not have been cowering in a corner.) Food was good, and service was impeccable, even doing things that earn extra points (like refilling beverage after bringing the check.) I don't know if the server is this great to everyone (or if there is a picture in the break room captioned, "Don't piss this guy off!"I will be back. I like this place."
"New for that side of town! Good food, nice people, street parking. Come check it out."
"I've only eaten here a few times, but it's been fine on both visits. My last visit was a little over a month ago. I went after lunch, but before dinner, on a weekday and it wasn't busy. I wanted something quick, as I was out alone and running errands. It's located on Grant Line Road in a small strip center by Pizza Hut. You pay before you eat, which is kind of odd. I guess they must've had problems with people not paying. The restaurant was clean on the inside. The buffet was well-stocked, especially for not being busy. I went for my usual selections: hot and sour soup, crab Rangoon, green beans, and a small sampling of a few entrées. The hot and sour soup wasn't terrible, but it was a bit bland. The same went for the crab Rangoon. It wasn't very full and it lacked flavor. I missed out on green beans. They didn't look fresh. However, the entrées that I tried were good. I didn't have any complaints on those. The fruits were also fresh and the desserts looked so as well, although I didn't try them. This buffet is really inexpensive. I didn't know that prior to going, but it was a pleasant surprise. I only wished I had been more pleased with my Chinese buffet staples here. The owner waited on me and was very friendly and kept my glass full and the table clean. I would consider going back, but I'm not in a rush."
"It's an Asian buffet. So you know what to expect. The people are very friendly. They have Soups, salad, sushi, and the usual foods. They sometime vary- the rice is yellow instead of traditional fried rice though. they also have several flavors of hand-dipped ice cream. You can order delivery or carry out. The price is really good too."
"This is a pretty decent Chinese buffet. The Resturaunt is fairly clean and the staff seem to always make sure the food is served fresh on the buffet line. They also serve all you can eat sushi."
"The food is some of the best Chinese food I have EVER eaten. On the other hand, recently they have changed the prices and are outrageous. Overall it's good since you don't have to drive to bowling green for Chinese."
