"This was a fun night with my colleagues. Vernon Lanes is a small bowling alley with around 8 lanes, a nice menu and bar service. On the bottom floor is a wide open bar that would be good for events. We had 8 people and were given one lane because one was out of commission. I didn't mind because we got to bowl just enough. Everyone ordered drinks including beer, margaritas and other mixed drinks. The margarita wasn't great but it was fine since I only had one. They keep water out so people can self serve. The facility is unique and the staff was friendly. You reserve the lane by the hour so if you have just a few people you can bowl a good bit. We also had food. I had the schnitzel sandwich which was awesome. Others tried different items with varying degrees of satisfaction. The person who ordered the nachos said they were super spicy. The shrimp po boy was a hit."
"I wanted to love this place. Great interior, will come back to enjoy some bowling. We ordered the hamburgers, they were tasteless and gray on the inside. The onions made my eyes water before I took a bite of the burger, so I quickly discarded, perhaps a bit dated. The tater tots tasted freezer burned, so I will get the fries next time, but no one at the table had hot fries or hot tater tots, kind of a threshold issue for any fried tater to taste good. I would say simplify your menu so what goes out tastes good, but the menu is already very basic. Perhaps the cook could handle a pan-fried ham and cheese sandwich, and make sure the fries are hot before sent out to customers. The hamburger appears to be the star of the show and the best I can say about it is, "it did not get me sick"."
"They have the BEST fries!!! Perfectly made, some are crunchier than others, which I love, and the others have a soft middle but crispy outer layer. We always have a great time when we're here with our family and friends! Lots of space, always clean, large bathrooms, and my son even had one of his birthday parties here. The customer service at the front desk is friendly and quick. The one thing I would like changes to are the seats for the bowling area. It's hard to play on one lane with other people playing on the other lane and there is only one curved seat for everyone. I do appreciate it when it's not busy and they place everyone appropriately so we get our own space for playing without having to share seats. Other than that, love this place!"
"Smaller Bowling alley located on the Southside of Louisville. I've bowled in different leagues over the years and although it has been a few years they use to do a disco bowl on Friday nights which was always fun. Prices are relatively cheap which makes it nice to open bowl."
"I hope this place is better at night, but bowling at 2pm in the afternoon on a Friday was no impressive. It was dead quiet when we came in and the lady working couldn't have put a smile on her face if she tried. Once we played one game and asked for another I finally broke down and asked her about the music. Typically when we have been here there was music. She turned it on after I said something-and boy it was louder than I remember. We wanted to order food, but she hadn't even turned the TV on that had the menu on it. They were out of pizza and corn dog nuggets. The place does need a makeover. There are some bar stools with stuffing coming out of the seats. I am sure they don't expect many customers during the day, but it would be nice to have this place be consistent and not lax on having equipment out during the day. My son had to take the employee a hammer he found on his bowling lane. I am glad there is a bowling alley close to us, but wish it was better quality and more customer service. Next time I think we will go to Danville and bowl."
"Great customer service by the bartenders, by helping us order pizza from Brooklyn pizza and getting drinks to us fast the place was a little loud but that's to be expected from a place like Malibu jacks and a bowling alley. The place had a nice vibe to it!"
"Social on main is a great addition to Downtown Elizabethtown! They have a bar that offers self serve beers & win, they do have bartenders if you're in the mood for cocktails or mocktails. There are several restaurants options, my favorite is the Maillard wood fire kitchen pizzas. There is duck pin bowling as well. One of our favorites place to hang out."
"Food was great, burger was Spectacular, but the bowling, was like Playing Catch and throwing strikes! I mean it was fun with my family, service was great as well. I mean... My favorite sport must be bowling, because I always strike out with the ladies, will definitely come back another time, oh they got some games like claw machines and a motorbike game, that's mainly what they have for games but, bowling is fun as well."
"Excellent Service and great place to let you your hair down and enjoy.Fantastic cheese burgers, and of course delicious fried chicken.Staff was attentive and service was excellent..Oh by the way you can bowl also!"

My husband and I had a wonderful time at Vernon Lanes over the weekend. I've been wanting to try it for a while and we finally made it. We had a lane reserved online and it was quick and easy to get shoes and get checked in. We ordered food while we were bowling and my grilled cheese and chips were delicious! There's also a downstairs that has some pool tables and darts, and it looked like you could get food and drinks down there as well. We can't wait to go back!

Folks, if you live in the country, particularly in the Bloomfield, Taylorsville or Bardstown area, check out this fun place! 50 cent billiards and pinball. Four bowling lanes available. Decent food available at a very reasonable price. Beer and mixed drinks offered. Also, an ice cream shop that is proudly serving Graeter's. Lots of interesting vintage decor to see. The staff is very friendly and attentive. We had a fun date night! We'll be back again to roll a few and eat another bite. Thank y'all!

This is probably the cleanest bowling alley I've ever been to. I like to take by kids here to bowl not onlybecause it's clean but because during the daytime they're never super busy and the people who work here are always very friendly. They have the fun dinosaur ramps for kids to use which is very helpful for littles who can't quite roll the ball one handed yet. They also have the bumpers that most places do for kids also so the combination of those and the ramps makes for a lot less frustration for my kids who get easily discouraged when things aren't going their way. The food in the snack bar is pretty decent, nothing fancy but average greasy bowling alley fare, pizza, burgers, fries etc. I already mentioned how clean this place is but I have to mention the bathrooms specifically because they look to be recently renovated and they're always very clean and well taken care of which is great because I always feel like my kids manage to touch everything in public bathrooms and while I of course make them wash their hands it's nice if everything doesn't look horribly disgusting. Also if you're looking for a deal Ken Bowl participates in the kids bowl free program over the summer so the kids can bowl two games each for just the price of the show rental. This place may look a little rundown from the outside but inside it's definitely very well cared for.

Friendly staff kept this bowling center from getting one star. Our balls & pins kept getting jammed in the machine. We first noticed the balls were not being returned. Then, 5 or 6 balls would come through to us. Thanks to the young man that had to go un-jam the machine SEVERAL times for us. I noticed the pair of lanes next to us were out of order, too. On the up-side, there were very few bowlers on a Saturday afternoon. My kids had a lot of space to move. Also, this bowling center serves decent French fries and has a selection of beer & liqueurs.

A wonderful bar and grill connected to Malibu Jacks entertainment arcade/bowling and so much more. My kids like to come for their birthday to play and eat all in one place! The food is always delicious and fresh with great pizza and wings! Large portions and it's pretty affordable compared to what we spend in the arcade! This year they went above and beyond for my son, and even included a candle in his birthday pizza! Wonderful service and friendly staff!

This is a very nice set up, fun family place with something for all ages. Game establishments for younger crowd and various beers on tap for which you can buy credit at the bar and then select different beers to try based on portion from as small as an ounce to a full glass. Also several restaurants, including a Filipino restaurant which is very authentic. Fun place for the entire family to enjoy time together.

Where gourmet meets a great venue! Wings, Fried Pickles, Fiesta Rolls, Smoked Bologna Taco and Pork Shoulder Taco were spot on! I wish I had ordered one of the burgers to have just 1-2 bites to try. (Definitely on my list on my next visit). Whether you stop in for a great family bowling night or stop in for a lunch or dinner, you will not be disappointed. You can tell ownership takes pride in their product. A very expansive bourbon list as well!

"One of the coolest spaces in Lexington! Been here several times. Both with friends and for multiple professional events. If you're looking to host an event this is a fantastic space. Good food, cold, beer and great drinks. Lots of fun stuff to do for everyone! Golf simulator, games, plenty of seating and more. Super cool breezeway with lots more seating outside that's covered. For sure highly recommended!"
"Fern bowl is a smaller but very functional bowling alley located off Bardstown road in the fern creek neighborhood of Lousiville Kentucky. Traditional old school bowling alley which has a mixture of open bowl, league bowling and glow bowl on late night Fridays and and Saturday's. I've mainly spent time at fern bowlAs my oldest is on a high school bowling team and fern bowl hosts several high school matches and also is the homeFor small college team Sullivan university. Overall it's smaller but fun which is what bowling should be. Good place toRoll a game or two or take in a match from the local schools."
"This was my first and second visit to this bowling establishment. They have 40 lanes, a Pro Shop, an arcade area, two pool tables, a lounge for adult beverage partaking and a fairly large snack bar. Where you bowl is different from the traditional horseshoe arrangement of seating with the scoring screen behind the ball return rack. This place has mini tables with four swing out seats and the scoring menu attached to the table. Every other lane is offset from their neighbor lanes. I found it confusing. I don't understand what all the tables are for in the bowling area unless they allow food and drinks down by the bowlers. If so, it would be the first time I've seen that. On the second visit I saw that indeed food and beverage was being utilized by the bowlers on these tables. It took me a couple of games to get used to the set up. The ball return is much closer to the foul line than what I'm used to therefore throwing off my stance but once I made the adjustment, I did much better. I bowled on a Monday and Thursday at my home lanes, then here on Friday. Bowling two days in a row really put soreness into my shoulder. After resting my shoulder and rotator cuff over the weekend, we returned today, Monday, for more games. I bowled a more consistent higher three game average today. The electronic scoring system is overdue for an upgrade in my opinion. I would like to see multiple options for scoring formats with at least one option that tells you your ball speed. We ordered a brownie bowl from the snack bar. It was okay and satisfied our sugar craving for some kind of dessert after eating lunch."
"Two words, Chili Dogs. Two words, French Fries. Great old school diner is a hidden gym inside the bowling alley. They have the newest alpine ski machines and ellipticals too. :)Give it a try. I recommend highly."
"This was so much fun! We went over our lunch hour as a going away party for a co-worker and had a blast. It's small, but Franklin desperately needed a place like this and I'm so glad it's doing well. You can order pizza from Greek's as well as a few bar style snacks and soft drinks. I highly recommend making reservations if you go during the evening because there were quite a few people in there for the middle of the day."
"I've been here a couple of times since my in-laws live in town and my husband and I love to go bowling on date night. They have the red pin on the screens and when it's the front pin if you get a strike you get to spin the wheel of various prizes. One night I got the spin the wheel 3 times, each time I got $2 which I then went to the bar to buy my husband and myself beers. They have some food and a bar. Fun place to bowl and have a good date night!"
"So... overall this was a pretty ok place to bowl so I give it 5stars for bowling. Avoid lane 22 because it froze on us approximately 25 times during our 2 rounds. But that was ok - we were having fun and goofing off so nbd. The snack bar is lacking - but the bar seemed fairly well stocked. Bowling seems to be a dying pastime for us - so my review is 5 stars even with the missteps. All in all we had a really fun night with our friends and kids - so go check it out. PS: the place is well lit and fairly clean. I forgot to check the restrooms."
"This is my favorite spot to bowl in Louisville. It's very old school, greasy and grimy but that's what I love about it. Pure nostalgia. Everyone that works here are super friendly and there is never a long wait to get a lane. I also like Ten Pin because it's not as expensive as other bowling alleys. It costs about 6 dollars a game which makes it a cheap date night."
"Fab, reasonably-priced fun with snacks and beer. So many options for fun - axe throwing, go carts, video games, and stuff for the kids. :) Snack bar is a little limited in choice but the bar is beer-tastic. Try the funnel cake fried and a Yuengling. It works. Don't ask."
"Had a whole theater to myself and the chairs are super comfy. I had never been in the area before and way just visiting. The staff was kind when I got a little lost."
"My family and I met a buddy of mine and his family and we went to the Clarksville strike and spare. We had a really good time the lanes were fun the bowling balls were cleaning nice the atmosphere was great they had a lot of fun games we had an amazing time here and we will be back"
"Blackiston Bowl does it old school. Not so old that you have to keep your own score or anything (we're not cavemen), but it is pretty apparent that very little has been upgraded since the hayday of the PBA.Prices are reasonable for both shoe rental and games. There are some days when you can get a really good deal, particularly if you've got time on weekdays before 5 p.m. which gives you unlimited bowling (as of this post) for a flat rate. The selection of balls (stop snickering) is extensive if you don't have your own (I said stop snickering). There is a room set aside for other games like pool as well as a bar with cheap booze. The staff is always very friendly. If you have a sensitivity to cigarette smoke, this may be a drawback as the building has absorbed the decades of nicotine that I would wager it is acting as an adhesive structural agent by this point. Overall, a pretty good place to bowl."
