"Have always enjoyed drive through carryout. I love most of their sides! Meat and sauces always tasty and fresh! Good value."
"The brisket is amazing! I wish I could find their locations reliably because I'm willing to drive wherever they are. The only other brisket I've had that was this good was in North Carolina, 5-6 years ago. Finally found somewhere here that rivals that, but I can't find them."

"I love Hilltop Tavern!! I was very excited when they reopened. I ordered take out on a Tuesday and I felt very safe going in the restaurant and eating the food from here. This restaurant takes your safety as a customer and the workers safety very seriously. All the staff was wearing wasks properly and there was hand sanitizer scattered around. You were not allowed to seat yourself, the staff directed you to a table in order to keep everyone socially distanced. The take out location had a specific spot at the bar and floor markers. I ended up getting the new corn fritters and chicken tenders with fried. As I said, I ended up getting take lut, but the french fries were still crispy when I got home! The food was served in a paper take out box with a paper liner. The food was amazing and exactly as I remembered. I will definitely be revisiting Hilltop again. I'm so happy they reopened and are keeping everyone safe."
"Looking for some rib tips, wife said don't come home from Memphis without them. Well, Memphis was a little bit behind me, however, I thought I could score in Louisville and boy, was I right! I knew when I left, I should have gone back and got another super size rib tips and I sure regret not doing it! Next time I'll go whole hog and get some of the other stuff. Faint of heart may want to go in the day time, but don't fear, they're tearing the 'jets down."
"Vinegar based barbecue instead of the tomato based I am used to, but it was excellent. The ribs were smoky and tender. Pulled pork was delicious, and all side dishes were fantastic. Cheaper than they should have been too!Two tables totaling five chairs inside."
"My recent experience of having brunch with a friend here was one of the very best. I've been several times over the years and always had delicious food but the latest was way above expectations. I was hesitant to get the brisket pho for brunch at first but wow was I happy with my choice. This dish was expertly created with their fall-apart melt in your mouth brisket, a fried egg and a toasted bagel to top it off. Some of the typical pho toppings like bean sprouts, cilantro, basil, and jalapeños, made this dish taste quite familiar, yet having this brunch version was interesting. I love the take on one of my favorite Asian dishes and had never seen it brunchetized before. I would highly recommend to any pho lovers who are open to a unique take on this Vietnamese cuisine to give this a try."
"So I've finally gotten a chance to make it around to The Smoking Pig.. Albeit just for carry out but I'm sure I'll go for a dinner sit down sometime soon. First off the decor is very country... and very clean and crisp. A lot of antiques hanging around and even an antique store in one of the buildings. I took a look around and will have to come back and check out some things I might want to buy to decorate my own place. There are two main buildings. One is the kitchen building which has a few seats inside and is where you'll order your food. The other is the store area with more seating. There is also plenty of other seating outside. The menu is fairly short but sweet. It doesn't get too complicated with things and gives you exactly what you want in a country bbq joint. I got the Korean Kickin Chicken with the Pig Tails. The pig tails were kinda of like a wide short curly fry, they were fantastic. The sandwich was fantastic. Spicy bbq charred just right and flavored up. All sitting on a pretzel bun. Those two items filled me up!! Pendleton County is littered with failed restaurants.. I'm really hoping that this one survives. It's a good location for many people in the county and it's priced very well. I can't wait to go in and sit down to a rack of ribs sometime soon!!"
"I have been spoiled y'all. Big Papa's Smokehouse in Lebanon is hands down THE best BBQ I've ever had in my 50 years on this planet. I'm telling you I'm gonna make the drive more often. You can tell they take pride in their craft and that is smokin meat. We ordered the Big Papa's Smoked Meat Sampler and shared it. It included brisket, pulled pork and ribs. When I tell you it was tender it was tender. Full of flavor from start to finish. The ribs fell off the bone and I swear I probably looked like a caveman eating them. I swear hands down perfection. And it was a first for me in regards to Smoked cabbage. I've never even heard of smoked cabbage before; but, by golly, it's phenomenal. You know the meals that stick out as dang good food and memorable???? This is gonna be one. It's that yummy!!!!!! They are gonna be moving to a new location across from Lee's Famous Recipe Chicken soon which we're told is gonna have outside seating and be a more intimate setting. Right now it's in a shopping plaza. I'm excited for them and I appreciate their passion for meat. They really have the meats!!!Please go see them!!!!"
"This place is the real deal folks. I'm originally from SC and it doesn't get more down home cookin than this. And during the time of coronavirus, I can say it's a real treat that this translated in their takeout stuff - enjoyed at home 40+ minutes after it was hot off the press. We got way too much food bc we couldn't make up our minds. We got:- smoked chicken wings (a dollar a piece for the best wings I've had is a small, worthwhile price to pay) with hot bbq sauce on the side, - a cheeseburger that was old school in just the right way, - a ribeye sandwich that can be sandwich free if you just wanna get straight to the good stuff,- brisket (I don't even like brisket and this stuff was delicious)- turkey wings (these were a little dry to be fair but they're also dry rub and wet ribs are more my bag so I'm leaving this as the 5 star review Carson's deserves),- sweet tea (thank the lord I finally found sweet tea like back home),And 3 sides - baked beans + a pint each of the green beans and potato salad. As you'd expect, between 2 adults, a 5 year old, and a baby, there's a ton left over. I'm salivating dreaming of my leftovers lunch tmrw with the beautifully seasoned wings and green beans. There are other leftovers too but those ones stole my heart. Friendly service (one of the owners wore a mask, brought the food out to our car, and both of them helped us through our order on the phone like we were old friends) + amazing food + great prices = Is it too soon to order again?"
"Fantastic BBQ!! My husband loves the ribs & I love their burgers!! They have great loaded baked potatoes & other sides. We really love them & they are Christian run, which is really nice."
"Really confused as to why this place only had three stars... After a stretch of not very good BBQ, I was nervous to try a place that wasn't highly rated. All do respect to those that rated this place low, but you are wrong. My colleague and I started with the smoked wings. They were excellent. (Especially with the hot bbq sauce). He got the brisket and I got the ribs. Both were fantastic. The ribs were meaty and fell off the bone pretty easily. Great with any of the sauces. The brisket was so juicy and flavorful, you didn't need sauce. Absolutely amazing. The sides were good, not great. I had the beans and the bugaloo (sp). Beans were good and I would get them again. I'd pass on the other stuff and get the sweet potato casserole. It was great. 100% recommend this place."
"A placethat is good for dogs, babies, toddlers adults of all ages colors and creeds.Great service.Fun menu."

If you have kept up with my reviews, you will know that I love this place... Food is always delicious and service is very down home, but I must say that the price of six chicken tenders is a bit out of range for what you would expect...6 tenders and one side over $18... as many times as I've eaten here, I may have to reconsider, moving forward how I want to spend my money... thank you for the years of service, but I think next Friday I'm going to go for a steak and baked potato...

We miss having BBQ in La Grange. Today I found out that there is a Food Truck that serves BBQ located in the parking lot between Auto Zone and Champion Chevrolet. It's run by Chris Miller and is open every Wednesday.I stopped today for lunch. They have a great menu that includes Pulled Pork or Brisket BBQ and Hamburgers. They also have a variety of home made sides. I got the Pulled Pork, Mac & Cheese, chips and a drink. Very reasonable and very delicious especially the Mac & Cheese. Had a nice smoked taste. I'm looking forward to going every Wednesday.

Good neighborhood bar. We stayed at an airbnb across the street and y'all know the very best bar is a bar you can walk to. Great beer selection, good prices. The night I was there Buffalo Trace was $4! Music was ON POINT. We did order the food special of the night... some kind of siracha sausage sandwich and it was really underwhelming, but I think this probably just isn't a bar that's known for its food. For what it's worth, the onion rings were good and crispy. Not a big crowd on a Tuesday night in March, but I'd imagine it's hopping on the weekends.

Was in town for the Sweet Sixteen and looking to see what Louisville had to offer by way of BBQ. Asked hotel staff for recommendations but they had nothing. My dad, whose from Alabama, called his one of his coworkers who had relatives in the area and they said Stevie J's hands down. Went there and it did not disappoint! The sides were good, but the ribs were great!!! So good in fact we returned the next day. It's off the beaten path but if you want some seriously good BBQ make the trip...don't be scurried.

The BBQ is very good, the vinegar coleslaw is great, the baked beans are runny, and not so good, there is next to no room to set down, so expect to eat in your car, or take it home.

What a hidden gem! I had no idea County Club was so close to me, but I'm so glad I discovered it. The vibes are fantastic, with cozy seating both inside and outside. Our server was exceptional--very informative about the menu, attentive, and offered great drink recommendations that really enhanced our experience.I ordered the smash burger with a side of fries, seasoned with Oaxacan spices, and let me tell you, those fries were the highlight! The seasoning was a perfect blend of sweet and spicy. We also tried the pork pita, which I highly recommend--it was absolutely delicious! To top it off, we enjoyed some post-dinner cocktails that were equally wonderful. I can't wait to return and explore more of the menu!

Really good barbecue with great service. The new location is definitely an improvement save the parking. That can get dicey. We tried the sampler, smoked bologna sandwich, and BBQ baked potato. The barbecue was good, the sides were good, but in my opinion the smoked bologna sandwich shines. That was awesome. The new interior is so much better than the old place. It should be warmer in the winter (the old place was brutal whenever someone opened the door) and it's just an overall more pleasant experience inside. They still have great servers who greet you with a smile.I just need to remind you about something ~ smoked bologna sandwich.

"We recently visited this past Saturday night before the Super Bowl. The owner, Chan allowed us to host an Eagles pre game party...as he's also a fan. We were greeted at the door and sat at a table by the bar. Obviously couldn't sit at the bar with a toddler. We had to ask for menus but our first round of drinks were good. I had the "Philly Special" which is a green, very fruity drink. I had to go with the vibes, but one and done for me. They do make a mean old fashioned, though!Hubs wanted brisket, out of that. No pulled pork. So he ordered the smoked wings. Pretty decent. Fries were good. I had a chicken cheesesteak...great flavor, soft bread, but the chicken was almost burnt. This is a new spot so still a few kinks but would love to come back to either location to try some more food. Always good to support local."
"Incredible BBq, one of the best I've had. I had brisket and turkey and they were both some of the best I've had. Slaw was on point and the single bbq sauce was just rite. Good job Harmon's!"
"make sure you call in to confirm they have what u want on the delivery apps of if you pull up looking forward to something in particular. but everything they have to offer is amazing, you really do not need sauce this is my fav bbq spot in town. they have better turkey legs than any carnival you've been too."
"Like on the moon - no atmosphere. To find this place , you have to look hard.i passed by it twice before i finally saw it.it's small and poorly decorated with not much if any atmosphere. this is basically a lil' mom&pop kind of place and the food i had was good but the surrounding really affected me to where i just did not enjoy it as much as i think i should.the prices & people were nice and if i go back, i'd get carry-out instead of dine-in."
"K&S BBQ is a true BBQ lover's paradise! The food is mouth-watering and delicious, with perfectly cooked meats and a range of tantalizing sides to choose from. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, always happy to help with menu recommendations. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a casual meal with friends or family. Whether you're in the mood for juicy ribs, savory pulled pork, or a mouth-watering brisket, K&S BBQ has it all. One of my favorite dishes at K&S BBQ is the brisket. It is cooked to perfection and has a mouth-watering smoky flavor that will make your taste buds dance with joy. The meat is juicy and tender, and it just melts in your mouth. I highly recommend pairing it with the tangy BBQ sauce and a side of creamy coleslaw for a delicious and satisfying meal. Whether you're a BBQ connoisseur or a newcomer to the cuisine, you simply have to try the brisket at K&S BBQ"
"This was probably the best food I've had in my entire life. I ordered Brisket on a bun with onion straws and coleslaw and it all was superb. The brisket just melted in your mouth and was so flavorful it didn't need anything else! Our server was kind and helpful. It's a nice place. Definitely recommend!"
"I am NOT going to lie to you -- I was very skeptical about this place. My coworker had told me about " the barbecue in a gas station". And where from, I really don't trust hot food that comes from the gas station. So after 2 weeks of convincing me if, I decide to go to try the barbecue from the gas station that comes from a train. I think you can see how I could be confused about the food situation. But when you do get to this gas station, you see there is a connecting BBQ restaurant. On this particular Thursday the restaurant decides to have a tent outside with a quick lunch line for food which is a great idea. So I paid my money for a barbecue sandwich. Let me tell you, it was very tasty; the meat is tender, barbecue sause was great, and nice size portion for the price. I will be coming back to hop on this barbecue train that's on the side of a gas station. It's totally worth it! if you feel a little skeptical about this place based on its location, take my word for the it, the food is great!"
"I cam here with some friends from work. Drove up to find a converted gas station to restaurant set up... I knew I'd be in for a treat.I thoroughly enjoyed the meal. I was with a group (two of them from Alabama) and some of them didn't care for the BBQ, even going so far to say it was the worst they'd had.I, myself, found it quite tasty and , like most other reviews, the sides were great! My biggest complaints... no liquor license, so no beer and expensive drinks."
"This is the place to try Owensboro style BBQ. I wouldn't necessarily say KY style, as I've yet to find another joint outside Owensboro that cooks up mutton as a staple option. Maybe it's a western KY thing, but passing though Louisville, mutton was nowhere to be found.Anyway here at Old Hickory you can find it sliced, chopped, as ribs, in a stew (burgoo) as well as the typical brisket, chicken and pork options.but owensboro style is all about the mutton, and for me, that's the chopped mutton on the white bun. Vinegary and delicious, mutton's a different bbq ball-game. the sheep oil or lanolin, adds a unique flavor that can seem strong to the uninitiated. However, I find that if you go for the experience, you will easily acclimate. The cornbread was more of a cornmeal pancake, not the typical yellow cake-looking type. The baked beans are good, but very sweet. Same with the coleslaw. The green beans are heavily cooked, so are very soft and on the darker side. I think it's a regional preparation. The catfish was nice, more crust than fish, and wasn't really served with anything like a tartar sauce or remoulade.Good for groups, friendly service and top notch bbq, make this casual eatery our regular stop every time we're in town. Come with an appetite, but I recommend fibering up before hand.I also recommend eating there (unless you're a regular). Delivered BBQ just seems different, even though it should be the same."
"Off the beaten path for us but well worth the trip. Very peaceful location overlooking park and lake. Clean and staff wearing masks and practicing social distancing. The decor is minimal with 50's style black and red booths. The tables have inspirational messages, the music is country / religious. Not in your face but background music. The staff friendly and efficient. Great menu with sandwiches wraps salads and more. For the two of us a Mushroom burger with fries, buffalo chicken sandwich with fries 2 drinks and fried cheese sticks with tax was just $26. The portions were generous too! My chicken was to too big for the bun! And my husband who can usually eat 2 entrees took half his burger to go. Very family friendly, as we saw local coming in to celebrate birthdays and stopping in after soccer practice. Hopefully we can get back here again."
"I got the goat curry and my wife had the oxtails. The goat curry was fantastic. The meat was tender and the flavor was balanced and delicious. The curry dinner comes with rice&peas and two sides. The rice&peas were phenomenal, and the greens + mac&cheese sides were great. I didn't get to try the oxtails, but they looked amazing and my wife said they were great. She raved about the rice and peas, so it's unanimous. The couple running this restaurant used to live in Jamaica and the husband has experience cooking at a restaurant back in Jamaica. It shows. The quality, quantity, and value for the price is great. I hope the word catches on and they are super successful, because this place is way too good to not succeed."
"Wow. This place has good bbq! Not to mention great sides. I smoke my own meat and make my own pulled pork so I'm very picky. Their pulled pork was just okay but my husband really enjoyed.I had the burnt end sandwich and it was a 5 out of 5. I just did not expect it to come saucy but very good. We called at 11:30 AM on a Saturday and they were already sold out of brisket. We arrived about 12 noon and had to wait a good 15 minutes just to order. This place is busy! And for good reason. My favorite part might be the smoked barbecue beans and spicy coleslaw. Will be back a lot!"
"Nice new little sit down restaurant in Elkton Ky. It is the checkered table and hometown decor you expect in a local bbq joint. It's cash or check only so bring one or the other but there is a ATM in walking distance. We both ordered the pulled pork. My wife had potato salad and baked beans, while I opted for the Mac and cheese and the baked beans. All the sides tasted homemade or at least not straight from a can, The baked beans had a slight green pepper flavor that's very pleasing while my wife said the potato salad was bland and needed seasoning. The Mac and cheese sauce was a little loose need to tighten up. They did sub some mashed potatoes which were buttery and flavorful. Corn bread was a muffin and very airy and had great texture on the outside while soft and wonderful on the inside. Service was great a warm and inviting staff was there to serve."
"Had WDRB certificate and wanted to try this place out. We got 20 wings. 10 with Rudder Hot (great spice!) and 10 BBQ sauce. Also got the family meal that had smoked pulled chicken, pulled pork, brisket, two baked potatoes and a slab of ribs. Every item was well smoked. So tender. Also got the brisket quesadilla. The bourbon BBQ sauce is excellent and a little spicy. They give you slices of bread but I wish they would serve buns with the family meal. They did forgetthe butter and sour cream. With the coupon the bill came to $77. Rounded up to $100 for the tip. Got everything to-go but I still leave a nice tip. Worth going! Great smoked food."
"Great Food!!. Even though our server was super busy, we still had great service. She recommended the hot honey sauce for the boneless wings. I would highly recommend it. We had the cauliflower crust and it was very good and not soggy as some can be. I would recommend this place to everyone."
"I I found myself in Falmouth KY looking for a place to eat. I would like to thank other yelpers for their excellent reviews of The Smoking Pig. This quaint BBQ Tavern gets all five stars for taste, choice, and customer service while being very inexpensive. Please look at pics and menu items. On this day I had BBQ pulled pork served on a baked potato and fried green beans. I will be back to try more menu selections including breakfast."
"By far the best BBQ food truck I've ever eaten at. Check their website/Facebook for where they are scheduled to be each day. You smell the smoke way before you get there and the owner/staff is very friendly. I travel all over the country and check out local businesses and food trucks several times a week. Highly recommend and the prices are more than reasonable and definitely worth it."
"We'll all perish. It's not just a part of our humanity. It's a part of our world. The universe snuffs out life like it's weeding a garden. Constantly picking. Even picking the flowers. But Froggy's offers a nice respite from the constant threat of darkness. Good Indiana tavern food plus. Where devils and angels set aside their Astral war and share metallic cans of Busch Light. Our deaths can wait. I recommend the spicy mozzarella sticks as an app."
"This place gets a hundred stars for service, they delivered outside of their area in order to make a home bound guy's night when they found out that the delivery address was The Apple Patch, which provides services for adults with autism and other disabilities. The delivery driver took the order over the phone and was so nice and personable, he wouldn't really accept my thanks he said it was a slow night and he was very happy to make someone happy. Heartwarming!"
"No one in restaurant when we arrived but perhaps it was due to being a Sunday. Seemed almost like a soft opening as the waitress didn't seem to know whether certain items were available. That being said, the chicken was great (5/5)! Very juicy and crisp. We also ordered the Mac and cheese (4/5), Cole slaw (4/5), and some greens (4/5). We did wait a bit for the food as it appeared everything was cooked to order. Definitely recommend and expect to wait for your food a bit but worth the wait."
"We're glad that we found this BBQ place for our lunch. We tried the brisket and the pulled pork both of which are delicious along with two sides - the creamed corn, which is really good and the slaw which was pretty basic and didn't seem homemade. The spicy sauce isn't really spicy, but not too sweet and tastes good. This place is a deal for what you get, plus the interior seating area is up-to-date and they have a large T.V. you can watch while you're there. Friendly service as well."
"I was a little worried about giving Ole South a try. Buffets are nor usually my choice since most buffets are about quantity, not quality. I was also worried if the BBQ sauce was going to be the vinegar dip variety. But I had to complete the Owensboro BBQ trifecta.Well...those two fears were quickly put to rest at Ole South.I chose the buffet so I could sample everything. I ev3n ate a salad at a BBQ joint but that's boring to talk about.I had fried chicken, chipped pork, pulled pork, chipped mutton, potato salad, beans, Mac and cheese, slaw, mashed potatoes and gravy, cinnamon apple, broccoli casserole, green beans, and creamed corn. You can't go wrong with any of the meats. There are two BBQ sauces - a thin vinegar which I didn't like but the thick and smoky was an accurate description with some sweetness. The potato salad was unique as it seemed like it was a redskin variety with some pimentos and other things.Cream corn had a fresh and delicious flavor.I remember I didn't like the broccoli casserole and the cinnamon apple didn't ha e much cinnamon.Burgoo was very mutton heavy. Dessert was included as well. The bread pudding was my favorite out of tue desserts. Sweet tea was refreshingly sweet. All of this was worth the $15 plus tip I passed out. I will be making a trip back to Ole South in the near future."
"If you like BBQ and super nice folks, you must eat here. Great smoked meat and bbq sauces. If you are lucky, you'll get to meet Billy and Bob, "we are a bit saucy and smokin' hot"!"
