"Sourdough is the one bread I can eat due to a gluten intolerance. I am so excited about finding Weathered Oak Farm!A family-run business, Weathered Oaks Sourdough starts with a 100 year old starter. Yep, you heard me right! It was the owner's father started and he passed it down to his children. The sourdough bread has a wonderful sweetness to it that reminds me of Hawaiian bread. They also make the best chocolate chip cookies, Lee ate 3 of them the first night !The Cinnamon Rolls are soooooo good. I cannot believe I found this bakery so close!! They make breakfast and lunch sandwiches and sale pans of cinnamon rolls ready to cook! A wonderful choice of teas & coffees. Butterfly Lemonade is my favorite!!They have the cutest gifts & pottery!! Pottery by Bybee! I fell in love with mushroom earrings! They were so cute. Second time in a week, and it is kinda of near work, close enough I can get a breakfast sandwich before work!!"
"For someone not already familiar with the area, it is important to understand that this place is a block away from the capitol of Kentucky, but it is the only business around. Frankfort is one of the more obscure state capitals, and immediately outside the state house grounds it becomes a residential neighborhood. Apparently at least some of the people who work at this bakery live across the street in this quiet neighborhood.Having said that, even if you walked outside the nation's capitol building in DC, you'd struggle to find anything this good nearby. And I would know.Upon entering, I was captivated by an extensive drink menu. They had a special Kashmiri chai on, and the cardamom infused flavor delivered a long-lasting experience. The spread of baked goods was extensive with both sweet and savory items. Not needing a full loaf of bread, I selected an assortment of pastries to be shared. They had fantastic flavors ranging from the conventional (vanilla custard with chocolate chips) to the unusual (a rye brownie). All of them were mouthwatering, though quite flaky and they did make a bit of a mess. A few other niche pantry items were on sale as well.Sometimes I feel very sad for people with genuine gluten allergies or intolerances. This was one of those times. Any visitors to the governmental institutions of Kentucky would be well advised to check this place out."
"In my opinion, their Nonna pizza may be THE BEST on this side of the river. Been going here for at least the past year or more and this pie is so good I've not even tried their other pizzas. Mimo's Pizzeria always does great work with pizza, but this one from Legacy is hands down my all-time favorite. Even when I get pasta for my main meal, I ALWAYS take this pizza home for a treat. Plus, I'm very allergic to mushrooms and they've done a good job of working with me to help these off the pie."
"I was gifted apple cider scones by a kind neighbor and they were the best I've had in my lifetime. Other scone makers need to take lessons from Futile Bakery."
"Whew! Lord! Where do I start? There's not a single bad thing in the place. I haven't tried everything on the menu but I'mma reckon a guess, based on the fair amount of things I have tried and by the EXTREME FRESH AND PHENOMENAL QUALITY that i'm right. The chicken pot pie is unlike ANY I've ever tried before, its got a unique taste that I absolutely love. It's not a strong overpowering taste, and it's just the right amount of salt (I think those Marie Calendars pot pies are WAY too salty). Even when the pot pies are frozen they're not overly dry like a store frozen pot pie. You'll be ruined forever, and broke, ya'll no joke. When I was younger, there was a pie shop that made strawberry pies with a sugar glaze, not the gel glaze that's common these days. I've looked forever for a place that didn't make a strawberry pie with that nasty overpowering gel glaze. OMG. I don't know what kind of glaze they use in it. It could be a gel glaze but they just use less of it. I don't know. Maybe it's a different kind of gel? But this strawberry pie is the ONLY kind I can eat. For reals. I literally hate every other kind I've had so far, besides the ones I had when I was young.I also pride myself on making a mean apple pie. My grandma is an old school woman and when I was young, reeally little, she taught me how to make one without measuring spoons or cups or anything. I've had a lot of people tell me I make the best apple pie they've ever tasted. Well, I've been beat. And I do not admit defeat often. I give credit where its due, but not often do I admit being beaten. Admittedly, the best apple pie I've ever had.I've also never really had a pecan pie I've liked but when I heard this amazing lady threw chocolate chips in one I got a few of her pie bites and oh my goodness. That's my favorite so far. I cannot wait to try a good portion of the rest of her flavors.I also think its admirable and amazing that she carries blackberry pie, a berry native to my father's home state. The pie was also good!"
"Stop here! Worth the visit. Service was great. Girl behind the counter smiled the entire time we ordered. Everyone on the car had a different drink and everyone said that it was the best coffee they had ever had. Get the beignets!! Orders two orders! Cool atmosphere. We played cards while we waited! Looks like they had a few lunch items, but had lots of cookies and desserts. And liquor!! We will stop on our way back home also!"
"Buttercream frosting is all about using 100% real butter at Rogue Petunia Cakery, so decadent. Specialty cakes are gorgeous and made to order for birthdays and more. Their blondies are my favorite grab and go treat. Ordered here for delivery and curbside pickup. Easy!"
"Even at mid-morning, this place was loaded with multiple tasty varieties of pastries. Although I didn't pick up any coffee, I did snag a tasty iced raspberry jelly doughnut and an apple fritter. The doughnut was loaded with raspberry filling from end to end. So nice to have jelly in every bite! The fritter was much larger and was glazed. It had a good flavor as well.I parked in one of the front spaces, but it looks like there is a drive-thru lane as well.Very friendly and prompt service as well. Inside, there is some comfy seating for those who wish to hang out and enjoy their pastries/coffee in house.Review #2912"
"I'm still super excited that Snickerdoodle is now a permanent flavor *insert roaring crowd here* and have to really fight the urge to swing by more often than I do. With it being located next to my favorite local salad place it's like the perfect one two punch for a nice quick meal and dessert. I grab a dozen bundtinis when I'm having folks over and they always go over well. I tend to get a variety of flavors when I do, but can't really comment on many others because Snickerdoodle has me in a chokehold!"
"Local Mexican grocery store, with fresh produce, meat counter, ready to eat meals, grocery items, and bakery items look so beautiful they do not look real. The service is prompt and friendly. They have lots of candies from Mexico too."
"I have loved the many versions of DaLat over the years. The latest version is a cafe that serves boba, banh mi, street snacks, noodles, with some bakery goods remaining. I got a bowl of Bun Bo Hue this time. It is filled with a big pork hock slice w bone, meatball, beef slices, tendon and a blood cube. It has not been reduced or "normalized" in any way! It was spicy and delicious. All of that was only $14.50. It was definitely worth the drive to the Southside! They also have egg coffee on the regular menu. They still have onion buns and hotdogs buns. I will definitely be coming back for more!"
"My son has been staying in Danville and suggested we enjoy Dry Stack before heading back to Louisville. Fantastic choice! My family of 4 enjoyed lunch and drinks. The space is large with several seating options, including swinging egg chairs in the front window. We were excited by the food menu and couldn't resist ordering. The homemade biscuit with bacon, egg and cheddar cheese was phenomenal. Same sentiment for my iced lavender latte. My son complimented his moch frappe and my husband enjoyed his chicken salad croissant, which came with chips. This is only a sampling of the menu. If we lived nearby I'm sure we'd continue trying the rest of the items (biscuits, sandwiches, pastries). Merchandise is available for purchase. Some seating areas offer long tables for study groups or board games. Street parking in front of store. Staff was friendly and helpful. My son noted this has been the same experience during his visits. This shop introduced him to options he's not tried before. Danville, take good care of this spot!"

I love this place! The most charming cafe with the nicest staff. The cinnamon rolls are amazing - so light, full of flavor, just the right amount of icing. YUM. They also have delicious coffee, wonderful sourdough bread, tasty sandwiches, and other baked goods. They also have a selection of home decor to peruse while you wait for your food. This is a fantastic addition to Simpsonville and a must if you're nearby. And, be sure to check out the Lovely Fig next door for fabulous clothes, shoes, and jewelry.

A small little bakery with big flavor, big friendly smiles and a big wow. We loved our breakfast at Andy's from scones to chocolate croissants to wonderful seasonal breakfast beverages. There was a wait but they moved the line along and everyone was friendly. Great morning stop. $$

The food and service at Legacy is second to none. The place is clean. The food is fresh and delicious, and Marcy and her crew take excellent care of their customers. Add in their commitment to supporting community causes and you couldn't ask for a better local business. For my pizza snob New Yorker wife, it's the only place around that feels like real NY pizza.

So friendly! I was warmly greeted when I entered. After telling her that I was a newbie to their shop, she kindly explained the ins and outs. Oh my! Everything looked so yummy. Outdoor seating to enjoy, too! What's not to like?!? Plus, she mentioned warm cinnamon rolls!

You won't be disappointed!! She never misses the chance to add a personal touch to everything she does. I have had the opportunity to have many of Sara's treats and I honestly can say I liked every single one of them. Even the carrot cake(which I have never been a fan of)! Her ingredients are well thought out and so flavorful! I would and have recommended her any chance I can. She has a lifetime customer with me and my family. Thank you for filling our bellies and kicking butt!!!

I will die by this bakery. I have gone here for years for all my pastry needs and have never been let down. Service is typically pretty speedy too. They have all kinds of donuts and cookies as well as coffee and other drinks. There is also a drive thru which is a great feature for people in a hurry!

"We recently move to Owensboro and had multiple recommendations to try Nikos Bakery. We went for lunch and had one of their special sandwiches, which happened to be a Bourbon Bacon Chicken sandwich that day. It was amazing and delicious. The place is clean and service is good. They have a large selection of menu items such as fresh made sandwiches, coffee, deserts. The lemon blueberry scone and s'mores latte was really good together. Highly recommend this place for a nice breakfast, lunch or supper. We'll definitely be back to try some other items on the menu."
"Stopped by and grabbed a few slices of cheesecake because the reviews are so good. I wasn't disappointed. The owner/baker made me a fresh cup of iced tea. I'll definitely be back."
"We visited here for the first time (at the recommendation of a neighbor) on Saturday, 8/10/24, for an awesome brunch. It was not at all crowded when we arrived around 9:30AM.The dining room and restrooms were very nice "wedding reception hall" decor, but it felt more like a large dining room than a reception hall. Our server was friendly and very attentive.I had the Hangover Harry ($14, buttermilk biscuit, two fresh eggs, five cheese blend, sausage gravy, topped with crumbled goetta & a side of our house hot sauce). I had eggs over easy rather than scrambled, and there were either two biscuits or two halves of one very large biscuit. I like hot sauce but did not pour it on my dish since it detracted from all the other great flavors. Overall this dish was great and extremely filling. My wife had Stuffed French Toast ($9, two pieces of our french bread stuffed with vanilla bean mascarpone, served with pure maple syrup & whipped cream) and Haus Potato Casserole ($4, shredded potatoes, creamy five cheese sauce, baked in a crispy cornflake crust). The French Toast was probably the best I ever tasted (she gave me a couple bites). It was two large slices of French Toast with mascarpone in the middle and then cut in half like two halves of a sandwich. She said the potato casserole was good, but too much to eat given the generous potions of French toast. We also ordered a Brioche Cinnamon Roll ($7) with mascarpone icing to go. It was served warm and was good heated up briefly at home, but a bit too light on cinnamon. Our total bill before tip with two soft drinks ($3 each) came to $40 plus $2.70 tax - and it was well worth it.We'll definitely be back for brunch or dinner."
"Great place! So quaint and the employees so nice. I have a high standard for donuts because of the great bakery in my hometown. This place is awesome! We had breakfast of eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, which were hot and delicious. Made to order. Then we had donuts. We had the Carmel iced and coconut donuts on our first visit. The second time we had the same breakfast, which was again delicious but we had chocolate iced donuts. They were so yummy. Even got some donuts to go. I'm sure they'll be great! Worth the stop. This is a family owned business ran with love and it shows."
"As many times as my friend and I had eaten at Imps (aka Impellizzeri's) across the street, it was finally time to pay a visit here. My friend had been here before but, I hadn't. Even though we were full from Imps, I still wanted to get a Kizito Cookie and what a perfect day to go on small business Saturday. So as we proceeded to walk over, going in we are the only customers in the store, it is smaller than what I expected. It's mostly a bakery with some Hand made African craft items. My friend and I spent a little time in there while speaking to Ms. Kizito herself and apparently knew her and her son personally. I was thinking of which cookie I wanted and the decision wasn't an easy one either. I went with the chocolate chip and my friend went with black and white. Cookies are reasonably priced here for the size. Will definitely be back, Ms. Kizito and her other employee were warm and welcoming. Cookies from here are definitely the perfect desserts after a filling meal from Imps on a weekend."
"Don't be put off by the location. This place is a wonderland for any dessert lover! Over the years, I've had their Tres Leches at birthday parties but never ventured out here until the past weekend. It is very spacious inside. There are cases and cases of baked goods - pan dulce conchas in every flavor possible, orejas, jelly rolls, banderas, puff pastry thingies, cakes, muffins, croissants, breads. They also have empanadas and donuts. Grab a tray and a pair of tongs and get to work. They sell tres leches by the slice and also whole. I like the strawberry one better than the pineapple. The conchas and cakes are tasty too. I don't know what it's called but there was a churro like puff pastry thingy and it was delicious! I forgot to take pictures of what I got, it was that good. The prices are unbelievable. While we were there, we noticed a lot of families come in and get plenty of stuff. So, you know it's as authentic as it gets. Also, the two people at the counter spoke minimal English. Like, most of our communication was with signs and "dollar?". But they were very sweet and helpful. Get your concha and tres leches fix here. I had to restrain myself from walking away with one of every kind."
"What a cute coffee shop/cookie haven in Clifton. I was in town on business and this was the coworking spot my coworker picked out and I'm so happy with that decision. I found free parking out front really easily and when I walked in the aesthetic was totally up my alley. From the long strings of pothos and other beautiful indoor plants to the twinkle lights behind the olive green booth and the old jukebox, the vibe here is real. I ordered the Harvest Moon latte with oat milk and one of their famous chocolate chip cookies for a snack later on in the day. The espresso in my latte was strong and I definitely got the pick-me-up that I needed to carry me through until lunch. The wifi was strong and I was able to get a lot done. When I dove into the cookie later it was heavenly. It had actually sat in my car for a few hours which made the chocolate chips melt just slightly.. It was like it just came out of the oven. I hear they have four locations around Louisville and one in Indianapolis and I'm not surprised because they clearly know what they're doing. If you're craving coffee and cookies, look no further."
"Crumbl cookies is a franchised cookie phenomenon that has been popping up all over the US. The Lousiville area added a location a few years ago in Middletown until this fern creek community location popped up in cedar creek crossings off Bardstown road. Now I'll admit, I came in with low expectations. People rant and rave about crumbl all over. But a few years back when visiting the Middletown location I had a horrible experience. Bad service, cookies that were photographed very different from the finished product, and under cooked tasting cookies. Despite that experience I have been meaning to try them again just because of allThe rave reviews. So when this new fern creek location popped up near my house we decided it was time. Completely different experience this time. Very friendly, quick and accurate service. The cookies rb eh had available they had laid out showing exactly what you get. The cookies weee cooked correctly this time and very delicious. We decided to go with a 6 pack order that consisted of 2 Kentucky butter cakes, a fried ice cream, chocolate cookies and cream and a classic chocolate chip. A 6 pack costs just over $20 and individually cookies are $4. However? They are rather large cookies and kind of a cake meets cookie hybrid. One is pretty filling on its own. Ordering options you have a few of them. The establishment is Carry out only. You walk In and either order at the computers to the immediate right or at the counter. They also have online ordering as well. We ordered at the register and our cookies weee delivered and boxed hot and fresh in less than a minute. The worker even popped the box open and had us verify the order and made sure we was happy. Top notch service here. The cookies were amazing! My personalFavorite was the chocolate cookies and cream but all were very good. Crumbl cookie has a large diverse menu with plenty of options to try. So we lookForward to doing that. Overall a complete 360 for me on my feelings on crumbl cookies. Staff and presentation go a long way and this fern creek location so far has that down perfectly. Open late to midnight in a Friday and I can see me and my 5 girls making some late night cookie runs at this nearby sweet spot."
"The very first thing you notice when you enter is the scent of baked goods. That is enough to get you going! They keep bringing out trays of fresh breads and pastries every few minutes and there's a delicious smell accompanying them. It has been on my bookmarks for long and I finally got to visit it last weekend. This is the second panaderia in Lexington that I got to visit and so, I was familiar with the sweet treats and the method of picking them. We picked conchas, cakes, puff pastries, cookies, etc. Everything we picked was $1 - $2 each. They were all good. I like the puff pastries in particular. We were there with a group of friends and they were amazed by this place. They asked me how I found it and I was like "um, hello! I'm a Yelper!" We also got a strawberry Tres Leches cake for just $15. We got home and tasted it and it was one of the best we've had in Lexington. It was not soggy, not overly sweet but had so tasty. A Tamale vendor was just setting up outside when we left. There's also a restaurant next door that we did not go to as we'd already eaten at Ali Baba's. Now I know where to get my sweet tooth fix when I'm near this side of town. With such authentic, fresh, delicious treats at such low prices, it can't be beat."
"This spot is legendary for a reason. On one side, you have an amazing selection of breads and pastries, and on the other, a cozy café perfect for brunch or lunch, complete with a small but thoughtfully curated alcohol selection featuring cocktails, wine, and beer. Heads-up: the café closes two hours earlier than the bakery, so plan your visit accordingly!Chocolate lovers, don't miss the pain au chocolat. It's buttery, rich, and pairs perfectly with a cappuccino. (I asked for a sprinkle of edible gold sugar glitter on my foam, because I am in the know--and now you are too!) If savory is more your style, go for the Jambon. Available first come, first serve with the other counter items, it's a quick fix. Featuring Broadbent ham on a mini baguette with farm-fresh butter, it's simple and decadent. For a seasonal treat, I tried the orange snowflake cookie. It was nice, but honestly, I'd recommend sticking with the gingerbread tiles. Sweet, spicy, and addictive. If you're in the mood for table service, check in with the host to sit inside or outside. On sunny days, the patio has a relaxed, European cafe vibe. On rainy days, grab a spot at the window counter for a moody cup of joe.The vibe is relaxed, yet buzzing. The staff is cool. The bread? Main character energy. It gets super busy on Fridays and Saturdays, so swing by when you have the leisure of time. You'll leave full, happy, and feeling a little dreamy."
"Unique flavors and it's all about the icing. Can't go wrong with cream cheese. But it is on the expensive side per cupcake so def a special occasion purchase. It would have been nice if they had specials for large orders. It's a cute venue and always happy to support small, local businesses in town. I'll be on the lookout for new flavors."
"Louisville is fortunate to have a good number of Cuban restaurants to choose from ranging from reservations required to quick bites. Locals, do not sleep on Sweet Havana. It's counter service and they will bring your food to you. We have had most of the sandwiches and all are delicious! The papas rellenas are the best in the city. They serve an incredible green sauce on the side and it is (chef's kiss). Their desserts taste as good as they look. This place is a fave.Next time we are having Cubano sandwiches at home I'm asking my husband to pick up a loaf of Cuban bread for them. Can't wait!"
"The people running this Heitzman Bakery location are so sweet and helpful. I stopped by to pick up a birthday treat for my friend and hair stylist, Thadra and they had wonderful options. I bought 2 different cupcakes decorated in such a cute way. I also grabbed a turtle cheesecake slice for my husband. They had a little of everything- cakes, pies, pastries and even some bouquets of fresh flowers."
"Ok here's my updated review after we ate it. It was DELICIOUS! So moist and not too sweet. I truly loved the cake but I am still upset at the quality of my "custom" experience and lack there of on my cake. I was charged too much (more than regular off the shelf cake) and was given a less than customized product. I didn't appreciate her saying that the cake I chose from the Yelp picture was what they "used to do" but the picture was from 3 months ago. I have made future customers from everyone I had try it but I hope they don't receive a bad experience because I truly believe in this company and their product."
"I ordered a back to school package of the cutest decorated cookies for our teachers. The colors and the script were amazing and both teachers were over the moon about them. Really easy to work with, quick responses."
"New place in the greater Eubank Area, a absoulty fanticis atmosphere combine with soom good home cooking, makes this place to be it you are traveling thru US 27 to or from Somerset, KY. They offer a wide selection of breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Their dessert case is wonderful. We recemmend a combintion of Pancakes with Biscuit & Gravy.for Breakfast. The lunch menu featuers the Tippy's House Salad and a wide rane ot Lunch options from tradiaitonl hamburgers, Chilidogs to Cold Cuts. There is something for everyone. Give this place a try on your way thru. They have daily specials that are always worth checking out, from tacos, pinto beans, meatloaf, chicken Alfredo, lasagna, chicken and dumplings, chicken enchiladas, bbq pork, etc. The staff is very amicable and accomadating. They seem to take pride in their service. The place was amazingly clean. Will be stopping there frequently."
"My favorite bakery ever! I grew up in this town and worked here when I was in high school. I was excited to visit and to take my kids here. Everything smells the same and tastes the same. The tea cookies are my absolute favorite and the Tuna salad sandwich was exactly as I remembered it. Oh and the butter bread still tastes like all sliced bread should taste. I had to get my caramel sundae cupcake and it was delicious as always. My kids of course loved it and they even got to try the best doughnuts. I can't wait to visit next time I am in town again."
"I stopped in here for some cupcakes and was so impressed with the look of the place. It's cute and well done. The cupcakes were delicious. I especially appreciate that the icing was not overly sweet. They have a good variety of flavors which made it hard to choose. I'll be back to try the food."
"Would you like to pick up some Amish lawn furniture or a handcrafted Amish dog house after you get some bread? If so this is your place. Not only do they have a large assortment of baked goods, meat, foodstuffs, etc, but they also have barns of all sizes, windmills, furniture, - you name if. The bakery is just one component of a huge churn-butter-till-you-puke Amish paradise of stuff to buy."
"Holy smokes, Batman! If you're looking for the best donut holes ever, this is the place. Was in Salem for the Ford dealership and recall someone talking about this donut place so I decided to give it a shot. I bought a chocolate stick and a Carmel stick as well, but will be devouring those in the morning and will update this review. Worth the 45 minute or so drive from Louisville to at least try once!"
"Amazing bakery items, and have rarely if ever missed on those flavors and cake designs."
"Clean & friendly service, they are have a great system in place & get out orders pretty quickly. The cookies are always on point and delicious, they are always packaged with care!"
"Move over cake boss, there is a new Cake Queen in town. Located in the Westport Road Baptist Church Farmers Market, you can find the most scrumptious slices of cake, and other pastries and sweets from Sweet Layer Cakes. Step up to their signature pink booth and get ready to taste some if the best cakes you've ever tried. This family owned business offers cakes by the slice in a variety of flavors sure to please the most discriminating tastebuds. Let me tell you about some of my favorites. The lemon blueberry cake is moist lemon cake with blueberry polka dots, layered with delicious buttercream lemon icing. My favorite, the Hummingbird Cake is even moister with pineapple, banana, cinnamon and pecans with smooth cream cheese icing. Delicious!Other notables are the Strawberry cake, Cinnamon Rolls, Blueberry Crumble, and Chocolate Milkshake Cake to name a few. If you are really lucky, grab a bag of their sweet and salty trail mix.I can't wait for next Saturday's market ti get my sweet fix. Besides the Farmer's Market, you can find them via their website @ sweetlayercakes.com.Give this booth a try, you won't regret it!"
