"Beautiful art gallery, jewelry and gift shop that also features custom epoxy countertops and epoxy tables. The space is filled with affordable artwork for all tastes. 7 Circle Gallery designs, builds and installs custom shelving. Located in NULU the gallery features work from local artists and craftsmen. Stop in and see for yourself. Their staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They will even install your art for you. Great addition to the NULU arts district."
"Wanted to write a quick review update to say how thankful I am for the precautions that Revelry is taking during these COVID-19 times. When I visited over the weekend, I was met by a security guard sitting out front. Next to him is a sign that says "No Mask. No Sani. No Entry." I appreciate that Rev takes this seriously and gladly donned by mask used some hand sanitizer, which was on a table next to the door. Once inside, I noticed the blue dots on the floor, which help show customers the preferred places to stand in the store to avoid getting too close to anyone else. And a large piece of plexiglass is in front of the registers.I was happy to see that Revelry is still chocked full of beautiful goods, most of which are made locally or regionally. Art, jewelry, home goods, other accessories, greeting cards, some bath products and more -- this is a shoppers' paradise."
"Shawn's work is stunning - I have a few of her paintings & they bring life to every room!"
"We happened to find them at their pop-up open paint hours at Logan street market. They were there from 11am-4pm. They have different size canvasses to choose from and they provide the acrylic paints, brushes, pencils, and aprons. It was fun coming up with our own paintings. The employee was super friendly and helpful with answering questions. It was a fun experience and we got to walk away with a new piece of art!"
"We had a great time here. First, scheduling this experience was really easy. I called the studio, they provided me with options, we picked one. I was worried because it was so easy. I am under the impression from their website that you'd need an appointment to have the making experience. It could also be that I put this in my head or that we went in December. The place is easy to find, has dedicated parking, and costs less than other places in or around town. That isn't why it's the best value. The reason I'd tell you this is the best value is the diversity of options in what you can make and how you can make your glass. At other places in town where we've made our own ornaments you can pick colors but not add designs or textures to your ornaments. Here you could. This is an annual tradition for my mother's birthday so she did one with a striped pattern and I made one with texture. The artist who helped us explained every step of the process and was clear about how to do the hands-on portions. We had an excellent experience that ended up being different than the ones we've had before. They also had made items for sale in their gallery."
"Paint it sweet is the BEST paint & sip in Louisville!!! I threw a surprise party for my girlfriend, and Hannah (the owner) went ABOVE and BEYOND to make the night completely special. She was always in communication even up to the moment we yelled surprise. The venue is amazing!! Being able to paint while looking at the Louisville skyline was a one of a kind experience. I seriously cannot say enough good things about the experience :)"
"Love shopping local, expecting always to find those unique and interesting must have items. This store does not disappoint and all are locally crafted by Kentucky artisans. Lots to see here!"
"This was the most nightmarish interaction with a so called "professional artist" one could image. I will first list the pros: None. Now I will list the cons: I took my work there to be framed. I chose my own mat color and frame style. She said it would be ready in a three days and that she would call me. She never called me. When I finally called her she said I must have given her the wrong number. I asked her to check her computer to see what number she had on file for me and she replied her computer was down. She then told me that the frame company "sent the wrong frame" and she had sent it back to get the correct one so it would be four more days. She took my "correct number" & said she would call me when it was ready. No one called. Finally after a week I called her and I was a bit annoyed at this point when she insisted she had left several messages on my voice mail and I never returned her calls. It simply was not true. I didn't argue with her because I understood it was pointless. I went to pick up my art. They were supposed to be open until 6:00 but apparently she left early. I was so frustrated with her complete lack of professionalism! The next day I went during my lunch break and there it was! Finished at last, (or so I thought.) The mat was not even close to the color I had chosen, the frame had a deep and very visible scratch on it and even worse, my work had permanent damage namely a HUGE, prominent, ugly, permanent crease in it! You wouldn't think it could get worse, would you? Well, it did. She claimed I brought it to her in that condition! (I wonder if she noticed my face turning red and the vein in my forhead that pops out when I get angry?) Everything is MY fault? She said I was mistaken about the mat color and the color used was exactly what I ordered. Not true. She sarcastically stated she would be happy to take it apart and redo it. WHO WOULD WANT PERMANENTLY DAMAGED ART FRAMED? I felt like saying "Yes, kick me in the crotch again."In summary: I wouldn't recommend Koch and Company on Dixie HWY to my worst enemy. The owner is dishonest and takes no responsibility or accountability for her mistakes. She has no customer sevice skills or etiquette. The only kind of artist she could possibly be is a con artist. She is arrogant, rude, deceptive, dismissive, selfish and condescending. The bottom line is, I lost a lot of time, money and a very sentimental piece of family history in which cannot ever be replaced, not to mention the unnecessary stress of simply dealing with the owner. I do not recommend Koch and Company to anyone. My wife cried when she saw what happened. She was crushed."
"This two-story gallery has been in this location for about a decade and it extends the downtown culture to just beyond 9th street. It specializes in cultural art that has a decidedly ethnic flare. The works of local, regional and national artist are featured at various times throughout the year. The Gallery has a framing department with its own in-house framer. If you want a very unique piece of eclectic art, this gallery is a must-visit."
"Beautiful art and a wide selection of custom frames. Finished corner frames are a specialty, but everything from simple wood and metal to ornate and contemporary frames are available. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable. Art ranges from contemporary abstracts to traditional landscapes and exhibits rotate regularly with local artists and artists from around the country."
"If you're looking into a new hobby -- or even a fun girls' night out -- Payne Street Pottery is just the thing! A friend mentioned to me recently that she might like taking some pottery classes, as she had enjoyed doing that at college. A quick google search revealed that we could do so at Payne Street Pottery. We signed up online for a "Throwing Down and Getting Dirty" -- Introduction to the Wheel class on a Friday night, and we were on our way. The building is a small one-story place, and it was "blink and you miss it" on the dark evening when I arrived. My GPS let me know that I had gone too far. Once inside, though, expect to be greeted warmly by Tonya and to be inspired by the beautiful ceramics around you throughout the building. A line on the site listed this as "BYOB", and I brought some food but would recommend something sippable instead as your hands will quickly keep you from being able to grab finger food. The name of the class (Throwing Down and Getting Dirty) describes how you will need to throw the clay, but also that you will get dirty, so wear clothes that you don't mind getting a little smudged. This is also a great place to come if you feel like you need to work out some pent up frustration, because throwing down lumps of divided clay and re-slicing them is part of your prep. Of the 4 pieces of wet clay that I began with, I was able to form one on the wheel that I actually wanted to fire and glaze. I can't wait to pick it up and display my new handiwork for all to be amazed!"
"We wandered in here on a Friday night and we're pleasantly surprised to find a string quartet. There are so many amazing art pieces on display. We found something we loved and were excited to take it home with us. Would highly recommend stopping in."

My sister-in-law and I spent last Saturday exploring NULU. We came across this gallery, which I had never noticed before. Turns out it had just recently opened so we went inside. Stu, the owner, is an amazing artist. You must see the table he created! It looks like water is running through the middle of it. So unique and perfect for a large room. The gallery has many other interesting items.

I continue to pop in during trips to Nulu ... and still haven't bought anything. I truly enjoy coming in, I do - it's just that everything is a splurge and it doesn't prompt me to buy. I spotted several local artists items today and for that I'm adding a star back to Revelry. It's great that local folks have a spot to showcase their items and become recognized by new customers. Roman, the store's dog, is also a fan favorite. This store is full of items. Be aware the shopping spaces are tight and if you have young kids, several expensive items that are breakable may make you feel anxious.

Very impressed with the facilities, staff and demonstration!I have visited other glass studios before- but I was very impressed with our visit here!We got to go behind-the-scenes and see how glass pieces are made. Our demonstration was detailed and up-close. We watched as the co-owner (forgive me, his name escapes me) created a dish. This process took about 15-20 minutes and it's an intriguing process to watch. He explained everything that goes into the process, from the furnaces to the heating and cooling, to the coloration process, to how to blow air into the glass, to how spinning the glass certain ways matters, and much more. We could ask questions, take pictures, and on some days you can blow a piece yourself. We were on a group package trip that was scheduled to visit another business afterwards, so we didn't have time for that last item. But we'd definitely like to come back and blow our own glass piece. The front room is gorgeous. There are prices of all shapes and kinds and colors to see. Some are available for purchase. There is glass incorporated into everything in the room. The reception desk is blown glass, the sitting area tables have pieces underneath them, there are glass pieces on the walls and hanging from the ceiling, and even the indoor plants have blown glass stuck in the dirt around them. You can also watch from the front room through a glass window as someone in the back is working in the hot shop. Love it!Highly recommend a visit!

During a recent trip to LaGrange I stopped by Gallery 104. What an exceptional treasure for the local community and visitors alike! This beautiful gallery is owned and operated by the Arts Association of Oldham County and features juried artwork by local and regional artisans. Browsing through the gallery was a visual treat. There were so many unique and creative pieces of many mediums - paintings, metal sculptures, textiles, jewelry, felted sculptures and so much more. The gallery features works by more than 20 member artists and offers classes in various art forms for all ages. The Arts Association awards three scholarships annually to graduating seniors who plan to pursue arts education. What a win-win situation, purchase a unique piece for your home or office or as a gift, while supporting local artisans and students! The Gallery is located on quaint and picturesque Main Street in downtown LaGrange.

"We have come to the Lyric Theatre many times to hear the Woodsongs Old Time Radio show. We enjoy our time here and have enjoyed every show. The theatre is comfortable and we always get a good seat for the show. One tip I have is come a bit early there is limited parking by the theater. Also go to the bathroom before the show since the ladies room is small and there could be a line after the show. This is a great treasure for the Lexington community."
"Unorthodox is a oddities and clothing shop located on a Popular row of shops and bars off Barret Ave in Lousiville, Kentucky. I went shopping a few weeks back with my 5 girls and some friends when we stopped into this shop. The items here are very unique, strange, and can be very pricey. Everything from petrified bugs, old dilapidated baby dolls, animal skulls and just some edgy horror themed ear rings can be purchased here. Smaller shop that for my liking is more window shopping. I'm not interested in spending a couple hundred for a cow skull. But my daughter did find some earrings for a band she liked so we was able to do more than just window shop this time. Overall a cool place to browse and a very different shopping experience than most places can offer you."
"My boyfriend and I came here for a clay throwing class with Alex. He was absolutely amazing and helpful. We have very limited experience working with clay, I'm talking like middle school art project and we both manage to make bowls! It was a lot of fun working with the clay and I hope we can do it again soon! There's also already made pottery you can purchase that's absolutely beautiful!"
"Oh boy!! You MUST do the "flame your own" activity. Getting an opportunity to work hands-on with a pro on a glass sculpture is so cool. They were able to squeeze us in on short notice. We each signed-up for two pieces each (a snowman and a ring holder/a kiss)"
"Very cool and original works of art. This is not only a gallery but its also a studio for these who want to learn how to blow glass. There are numerous artists that sell there creations so go by and buy something.Forgot to mention the also have a hands on area for children to make things out of glass beads."
"Kathryn restored a painting that we have owned for more than 50 years and did a wonderful job of recovering the original painting and its color. The painting has been through a fire and several previous restorations, which left considerable alteration and some damage to the painting. Kathryn successfully removed the accumulated layers covering the art and repaired the few small defects. We are very pleased with the result and highly recommend this talented lady."
"This place is HELLA impressive! We stopped in and got to peek at the vast amount of gorgeous and notable photography. There is one room stuffed to the gills, it seems, with all of the art and prints and photographs that *aren't* on display. And just...wow. The volume alone could blow you away, but the pedigree of what is there is also enticing! It's really difficult to properly put in to words just how cool this gallery/law office and the accompanying collection are. All I can say is any chance you get to visit the gallery, DO IT."
"What a neat museum! I'm not exactly the target audience for this place, but I ended up enjoying myself. There is just so much vintage fire memorabilia to look at! And my children, like most children, like firefighters and fire trucks, so they had a good time, too.One of the neat things about the Vintage Fire Museum is that there's a little corner dedicated to fire safety education for kids. There's a mock room setup, with a window to climb out of to practice fire drills. What will you do if there's a fire in your house? Climb out the window, of course, is one of the options the Vintage Fire Museum is suggesting. My youngest liked climbing out of the window and onto the "roof." Hopefully, we never have to test his house-fire escape skills in real life -- knock on wood. The rest of the museum is dedicated to showcasing fire fighter history. You'll see restored fire trucks (you can sit in some of them!), photos, old uniforms and hats, equipment, a crazy collection of fire alarms, and lots more. The museum is staffed by old timers who are ready and willing to talk your ear off about fire fighting history. They can give you a tour of the museum, if you want, but we opted to just explore by ourselves. The museum isn't very big, but it's definitely worth the cost of admission, and I'm glad we visited."
"I will admit, I can't walk by Artique without stopping in and at least window shopping. This location is in the Lexington Green Mall, along with the famous Joseph Beth Books and many other local shops and Palmers restaurant. I think that it's a must for a tourist looking for a local Lexington experience. And if you're local and have never been to Artique, you need to get out more. If you're looking for a place to find local art, this is your place. From jewelry to paintings, and so much in between. This is like no other local place, besides the Artique location in the Civic Center downtown."
"Two words: Pretzel salad.Gallery 115 was by far my favorite restaurant in Madison. Both times we were there we ordered hot browns sans tomatoes. The first time I opted to get the pretzel salad. It was candied pretzels on top of a blissful cream cheese blend. Sooooo good. I was disappointed, however, that when we came back in they had run out of pretzel salad. I then had the coleslaw which was rich, creamy, and a little sweet. That is just the way I like it. Our hot browns were delicious. The cheese (mornay?) sauce was perfectly rich. The bacon atop was nice and crispy. It was just the perfect size. I also opted to try a slice of their fresh strawberry cake. Let me tell you that it was the real deal. You got a whole serving of real fruit in a slice of that cake. It was the BEST strawberry cake I have ever had. The icing, I didn't care as much for, but I'm not an icing person. The staff here is some of the best I've encountered in a long time. They check on you often and go out of their way to make sure you're enjoying your experience here. They are super friendly and actually act like they enjoy their jobs. That is a rarity these days. Go here!"
"Artists Barrel is a unique and cool hand crafted Barrel and decor shop in the historic downtown bardstown shopping district. The store is rather large and has several artists Whose woodwork and other crafts is featured in the store and sold for them. They have all kinds of cool and unique items in this store that vary in price depending on the artist. Some are rather high and others are fair priced. I personally walked away with two items form two different artists on my trip here. I purchased a university of louisville license plate decoration for my self and Burbon Barrel university of Kentucky coat rack for my brothers Christmas present. Overall I really enjoyed This shop. Was a fun browse and the lady working was very friendly and personable. They have lots of cool Bourbon Barrel decor and lots of cool university of Kentucky and Lousiville decor as well for the local college sports fans."
"Picture perfect!Open is a Gallery/ Artist Commune/ Podcast/ Open Mic Night/ residential building. I have participated in a couple of the weekly Wednesday night Figure Drawing classes. The environment is ever changing with new art, ideas, and people just as I imagine a gallery would be. I really love the fact that the space caters to all types of artists with all skill levels. The artists that join us for the figure drawing are very welcoming and encouraging. The models can be full nude. The sessions are very tastefully done and professional focusing the time to be all about the learning experience. The cost to participate is extremely affordable. It is $10 for the 2 hours class and there is a tip jar for the wine and beer that is offered.Parking is limited so make sure to arrive a bit early for larger events. All events for the gallery are posted to their Facebook page which makes it easy to see if any of my other friends are showing up and who the model is going to be during the figure drawing class. My only complaint is that the space smells like an artist commune. I am not sure who delegates the chores, but the lived in bathroom and couches for guests need to be shown as much love as the local art.I look forward to heading back to a space where I can recharge and reconnect to my inner right brain sans desk job."
"How does one rate an art gallery? By the space or the curation or should the variability of works just warrant a 'gentleman's C'?This is not much more than an odd-shaped room, but a fine enough spot to see some good exhibits. This particular gallery is a vehicle for the Kentucky College of Art + Design, and they swap out shows frequently. Sometimes they showcase student works, sometimes works of professors or visiting residents, and sometimes they curate something else altogether. Limited hours -- nobody here is getting rich."
"This is a fantastic venue, free parking in area and a nicer small venue allows for a more personalized feel. Look forward to shows here"
"I stopped to see all the art they have in this cute town of Madison. These are true artists in this gallery. Lots of unique pieces. I found Danny Palafox art the most interesting. I bought a few magnetic pieces of his. I wanted one of his paintings. Im going to get one soon. There were some artists there. I enjoyed the variety they had."
"I thought this was a fun thing to do for a birthday group outing. All the ornaments turned out great and some of us don't have an artistic bone in our body. We were pleased over all and would definitely come back if it were less expensive."
"The Green Building is a nice event space that has been like a hidden secret to me. I didn't even know that this little area existed until I came for Miracle on Market. It is located right by Galaxy, where the entrance basically takes you back to the end of the building. When you first walk in, there are some nice couches and a cozy little seating area, and in the back room is the bigger space for whatever event is going on. I like this cute little spot and would love to come here for another event!"
"Art Sanctuary is a great event venue! We recently hosted a fundraiser here, and the space was perfect. The employees were also very helpful and made sure everything for our event was great! If you're looking for an event space, Art Sanctuary is a great spot! Also, for the size of the space, the rental fee is very reasonable. Plus, the gallery is great, and everything displayed in the space is really interesting and cool."
"What a fun experience! Glass blowing is truly incredible. I brought my mom and grandma here to make ornaments. We did make reservations which they suggest especially this time of year. We had the best experience with Brohm who took his time to educate us on the entire process. Science is cool for sure! Brohm encouraged us to be creative with our colors and design. We were so pleased with the experience and our final products. This is a great go to place for families or even out of town guests. I would not suggest this place in the heat of summer, I could see how it would be very hot. So many beautiful pieces and talented artists! Well done! Be sure to tip your artist."
