I am totally in love with this market! I can go to several local boutique retailers at once without stepping out into the cold once. If you want bourbon barrel aged Bloody Mary fixins for a festive morning - it's here for you. Stocking stuffers to give your people a laugh? On it. High quality toys, books, and cozy comfy blankets to sit by the fire? It's here. Chocolates and kitchen wares to add to your holiday baking? Waiting for you. A huge red antlered showpiece for over the mantle to get all your guests talking? Oh yeah - come hither. There are multiple retailers who work together in this space to create a seamless experience with shelf after shelf of delightful buying options with a uniquely Louisville flare. You can pay for all your items at once and they're ready for you with gift boxes to slide straight under the tree. You've got some terrific restaurants around the neighborhood to help you take a breather between holiday shopping stops making for a fun day out in Butchertown. All while shopping local, finding unique gifts, and supporting our small business retailers. I'm looking forward to coming back here as the seasons change to see what they stock next. If you haven't been to Butchertown Market yet now is the time, they are here to make your holiday shopping fun and easy.

Very cool!I've always taken pictures outside of here because of all the murals or driven past this side but had never gone in.When I came in on a Friday early afternoon with a few friends, it was a lot busier in there than I thought! Soo many people! Families and everyone ever!It was warm in there. Like comfortable warm. This market houses a few shops and even a place to try wine! It's worth a visit!Sometimes you can find free parking in the lot right by the train tracks, but other times, your best bet is parallel parking. It's not hard to find a spot though!

I often recommend Butchertown Market as a place to enjoy over the weekend or when you have the day off to shop. It houses one of my favorite shops, Work the Metal, and a delicious chocolate shop, Cellar Door Chocolates. Moss Hill will also make your skin feel and smell good with its soaps, lotions and shaving items. Parking for the shops is limited. A few meters are in front and a free parking lot is on the side of the building. Be careful in the lot. It has huge potholes and train tracks. On busy days you may need to hunt for a spot within the neighborhood. Make sure you pay attention to signage for other lots. It belongs to other businesses and you may be towed. While you're at the shops, consider having a slice of pizza at Butchertown Pizza. Copper & Kings also offers distillery tours or their upstairs bar, Alexander's, has a great patio area for drinks. Also nearby is High 5 Doughnuts and Red Hot Roasters. Do a search in Yelp to know exactly where to find these spots!

Once you find out the place you're looking for is that giant building were all the shops are you'll be fine. Parking is available but the lot is atrocious and bumpy one way streets are all around here so pay attention to where your going this is for out of towners such as myself. My favorite blue grass bb aged soy sauce was here with new variants such as ponzu and imperial I highly recommend you buy at least one bottle. Talked with the lady at the wine bar and she hooked us up with some free ice until I could get more to keep chocolate we brought from melting. Lots of things to see here I would make sure you give yourself ample time as there are a lot of shops.

This place is fun! $1 mimosas while you shop the cute little boutiques? Count me in! Some stores were a bit hokey while others were just awesome. Overall, there's really something for almost anyone there, and I recommend it for anyone passing through town, trying to make a day of a stop in Louisville.

This is an awesome little eclectic shopping spot in east Louisville. There are still stockyards near by... so I am guessing that is the reason for the name...It is in an area of that is being repurposed. I love it when old buildings are saved and not just torn down for the next new shopping complex.Several vendors under one roof with everything....food, jewelry, books and décor. Prices were reasonable and the atmosphere was fun! I am guessing that they update products regularly. I bought some fun earrings but saw lots of "wish list" items.I'm looking forward to going back soon.Hint: If you go to the ladies room inside the shopping area look up it is spicy!

I absolutely LOVE Butchertown Market! This is a great place to do some amazing local shopping! It is packed with unique local goodness! There are several sections, including but not limited to, Work the Metal, Cellar Door Chocolates, and a "spa product" type of shop.Work the Metal has a variety of jewelry, kitchenware, books, home goods, Kentucky themed items, and a plus size clothing boutique, among other items.Cellar Door Chocolates have a variety of pre-packaged chocolates, like suckers, candy bars and truffles. However, it also has a glass case, where you can hand select your truffles. Of course, as a "Bourbon Badass", I recommend ANY of the bourbon balls hands down! This place is a great place to visit and spend the whole day shopping!

Lots of items to pick and choose from, and there are some really cool things to look at, but talk about expensive! The ladies that work there are quite lovely, it is in a nice neighborhood. If you want to spend 14.00 on a bar of soap that isn't made locally, this is your place. It would be much cooler if there were some locally made crafts.
