During my recent visit to Louisville, my friend and I stumbled upon a delightful brunch spot that quickly became our favorite hideaway. This charming café is the perfect little nook for coffee lovers looking to enjoy a small breakfast or indulge in mouthwatering pastries that elevate the coffee experience. We couldn't resist sampling a selection from their enticing menu. We started with the wag and the butcherblock, both bursting with flavors. We also treated ourselves to a decadent pan au chocolat and another divine specialty pastry. To wash it all down, we ordered a doppio espresso and a luscious iced caramel latte--each sip was a little joy!The place's ambiance was enchanting, filled with the energetic buzz of the morning rush yet somehow still intimate. The ample seating for groups makes it an excellent choice for a casual meetup with friends. The friendly staff added to the warm atmosphere, efficiently ensuring our orders were correct and we felt well taken care of.As for parking, be prepared for the quirks of city life--street parking is your only option here, with some areas requiring payment. But trust me, the experience inside is well worth the little trouble! If you're in the neighborhood, this brunch spot is a must-visit!

I tried to go to this place in the middle of my Louisville trip, but it ended up being one of my last stops instead. The first visit, the line was out the door! The second time, it was busy, but it wasn't quite out the door... this place is poppin! They have a bunch of exciting pastries and sandwiches and drinks. There was an amazing looking pastry that I saw in the display window... but there was only the sign, no pastry itself... and unsurprisingly, it was sold out. So I got the Danwich -- I couldn't help it! Egg, waffle fries, cheese, and bacon in between two croissants... I was initially concerned, but I got over it right away LOL.Presentation was lovely... but overall it was a really dry sandwich. The croissant crumbled everywhere, and there really wasn't anything on the sandwich to hold it together. The croissant was rather crispy -- I believe it was a bit burnt, like the ones who like their toast darker XD. So, I'm glad I tried it, but not sure if I would get it again based on this experience. They have plenty of other amazing looking things to try, and they have some cozy seats. But it fills up so fast!

This place was hopping on a Sunday morning, but we managed to grab seats at the community table by the time our drinks were ready. I got a bourbon caramel latte and the monthly weekend special croissant Salted peanut butter chocolate supreme. They should cut chocolate from the name because there's only a dab on top, but the salted peanut butter cream inside was DIVINE. It was a messy treat, but the flavors were so good I didn't care. My friend got the raspberry Nutella cruffin. It was huge and the raspberry filling reminded me of an elevated version of the jelly in a jelly donut. I can't wait to visit again and try the biscuits and gravy.

Went here this weekend for a treat. The place was PACKED! We ordered 2 regular coffees with heavy cream. I think they were $4 or 5 each - a lot for a regular coffee. They use a dark blonde roast which was pretty good. We also ordered a chocolate peanut butter croissant. It was a good size and cost $7.99. There was a small chocolate drizzle which embedded a broken open mini Reese's cup type treat. Inside there was peanutbutter cream and it was good. Hubby didn't like it and daughter thought it was just ok but I love peanut butter so I was happy. The space is cramped and has LARGE seats that are comfortable but take up a LOT of space along the two walls. It would be nice to have regular chairs in order to fit more people along the bar which wraps around the east and south wall of the restaurant/coffeehouse. The other areas to sit are community tables which would be ok but a bit cramped. This may be a place that would be better to visit earlier before it gets packed. I wouldn't want to eat a meal here. Not enough room.

Louisville is top tier for friendly, helpful staff. The orange mocha was delicious, and while the Danwich was a little too carb-starch heavy for my taste, I totally talked myself into ordering it. All of the food I saw there looked amazing, and the chocolate chunk cookie was #1. Nice wooden seats and plenty of light too! Great place to have a conversation over a thick cup of mud.

I've been wanting to stop by this bakery for years but haven't had the chance. Today I circled the block to make it happen. It's a small bakery with on street parking on all nearby streets. When you enter you see the main counter and a bar that runs along the windows to sit, as well as, a few scattered tables. It was a low key vibe and welcoming. Besides bakery items they also serve sandwiches and other food. Of course I was there for a brownie I have been dreaming about since they owned a restaurant in Butchertown. I spoke to a friendly employee that kindly asked the bakers if it was the same one that was sold at the restaurant. To my delight it was! The brownie is kept refrigerated, so it was nice and cold when I opened it up. Let me tell you, It did not disappoint. The brownie is soft but with a harder exterior. It's bursting with chocolate and salt flavors and literally melts in your mouth. It's decadently perfect, and I loved every bite. I will be back!!

We came in for a late lunch as I was looking for a spot that had both sandwiches and good coffee, butchertown grocery and bakery definitely fits that bill! It's a cozy spot with great service and delicious sandwiches. The ham and cheese sandwich was ridiculously good and each sandwich comes with you choice of cookie. I got the oatmeal cream pie and my sister got the chocolate chunk. Both were excellent and I also enjoyed my half caf cappuccino. Highly recommend this spot and need to come back for their breakfast sandwiches which are served all day.

This is a great place, I would recommend trying it! Lots of baked goods, sandwiches, and coffee!! A nice local coffee shop/cafe to try something new with many unique options. I tried the bourbon caramel latte, which is one of their housemade syrups! It wasn't my favorite flavor, but glad I tried. The staff were super helpful and able to make substitutions, such as turkey sausage instead of bacon on my biscuit sandwich.

Great little spot, somewhat unknown to many. Vibe is strong, quiet, comfortable, decor is cool. Great tunes playing. A Small varied, tasty menu. Mostly sandwiches and breakfast options. Some decent bourbon picks are available, it is somewhat of a bottle shop. It should be said it is not a grocery store, lol. Staff is friendly expect NuLou pricing (the rent is too damn high) with a fancy coffee and sandwich you'll be looking at 40 bucks easy (this is for two). We had the cafe con leche absolutely delicious. A sausage biscuit, the butcher block, the wag, and the ham and cheese all solid sandwiches. I loved the sausage biscuit the most. If you are downtown this is a great option for a chill snack or full on meal.
