Butcher's Best

It's not what I expected. I thought it was a sit down and dine place but it isn't. It's more like a Carry out. The sides all looked dried out and the meat didn't appear enticing at all so we ended up not eating at all. We bought some meat rub from the store so we at least made a purchase.

We ordered some meat from them for our cook out on Sunday for the 4th. My neighbor decided to get ribs and burgers and have us over to eat before the fireworks. The ribs were very juicy and tasty and the burgers were great! They were stuffed with jalapeño and the price was pretty darn good for the amount of food .we will get more meat from them

Wonderful selections and friendly helpful staff. I've gotten the large chicken pot pie for supper one rainy night and it was delicious. I forgot to get instructions before I left the store so I called back when I got home and she told me what to do without even taking a second to think. The second time, I bought the Italian meat loaves and when I was ordering them I remembered to ask the best way to cook them and she told me exactly what to do also. Great local things to buy in here.

After a long day of unpacking from a move, my parents and I just needed something to grab and bring home for dinner. I suggested Butcher's Best because I've seen them outside smoking and cooking on the grills during the day and it always looked and smelled so good. They are located by Dairy Queen and next door to Party Center. It was late afternoon and the lunch grilling was over, but they have choices in the refrigerated cases and cold sandwiches at the deli counter. They also had some hot items left over from lunch and kept warm. They have deli side items like chicken salad, broccoli salad, coleslaw, potato salad, etc.. We opted for a couple of containers of pulled pork, deviled eggs, and potato salad. Both the deviled eggs and the potato salad were really good. The pulled pork was very good; great smoky flavor, not dry and had a nice bark. My parents have spent the last 35 years in Alabama, where good and real BBQ is abundant, and they were pleased. BB knows how to smoke meat.Their prices aren't cheap, so make note. The deli sides range from $8.99-9.99 lb., which is a tad pricey, but I do have to admit the quality was there. The shop is clean and the staff was friendly. In addition to the deli/lunch options, they are a full service butcher shop. I noticed they carry Bison. They also had single and whole pot pies. My grandparents owned a grocery store for almost forty years and my mother grew up spoiled on fresh and never frozen local meat hand cut by a real butcher, so I know being less than a mile away, it is soon to be a regular stop for her. The meat case looked very good and the prices again were on the higher side, but that is to be expected and understood when a better quality, selection and hand cutting is offered. The lunch specials run daily and they said even on Saturdays but with a more limited menu. It's a great place to pick up lunch or dinner to go. I'll report back on the meat from the shop.

I'm giving 3 stars because the meat looked nice, but the cleanness wasn't the best for my taste also the lady at the front is rude and not very welcoming. I always try to support local but this one I'll skip for Kroger.

I dont care where you live or how long it takes to get here, but youre going to come, and youre going to bring money.In the back of the shop, in a case on the right hand side is a beef tenderloin. Yes, its $29/lb but trust me on this. Buy what you can afford, bring it home and let it rest at room temperature for an hour. Season it with salt and pepper, and then slather it in a mixture of softened butter and stone ground mustard. After 40 minutes in a 350 degree oven (and 15 min to rest afterward), take a nice sharp knife and cut yourself a piece.Let this dreamy, silken piece melt in your mouth as the angels weep for you since they know you will never eat anything as marvelous ever again for as long as you live. Well, at least until you make the trip back over there for more beef tenderloin.It is that good. I wish I was kidding.

Pound for pound bang for the buck kind of place. This is my number one favorite lunch spot. Some full meals under $10 served minutes after walking in. You cannot get this quality of food for the price any where in this state. Bison burger and hashbrown casserole are always winners.

Picked a container of smoked pork and made my sandwich at home. Heated the smoked pork.

Went in when the drive thru line at a few fast food joints was long. A sign said lunch specials were meat loaf and chili dogs with no prices. I opted for meat loaf and they were sold out. So I went with the chili dogs. Bad move. They kept the slim rubbery hot dogs in a plastic container (obviously cooked hours before) and who knows where the chili came from. It was definitely out of a can. But I was starving and had to get back to work so I ate em. The rest of the day you could hear my stomach rumble. I got so sick I thought I would die. The "special " was two terrible slim chili dogs for $8.99. $8.99!!!!!! Are you kidding?A small bag of chips and a can Arizona iced tea (which was imprinted with a .99 price but sold for $1.99) rounded out my "special" at a whopping $12.70. I should have gone to Thornton's. Better prices and better food.

Nice spot, has potential. I've been in there twice and both times the lady was rude. Took a bite of a deviled egg and it tasted weird. Looked at the expiration and they were like four days expired. The guy working the grill was nice. I recommend skipping this place, totally over rated.
