Burke's Bakery & Delicatessen

Nothing too new to add to the posted reviews - just confirmation that Burke's still has it going on. Excellent service - friendly, patient, and yet speedy. Simple space; nothing fancy, just yummy goodness on display. Tons of selection! I chose the blueberry cake donut and a dozen Italian wedding cookies. Would have loved a donut option without the icing but I didn't ask if that was possible. Maybe next time?!? The cookies are delicious even if a bit too small. Definitely worth a stop in whether you live in Danville or are just passing through.

I can't say much in this review that hasn't already been said. This is a neat old school bakery with affordable prices and delicious treats. I was greeted with a friendly smile almost as soon as I got to the counter and I decided on a peanut butter pie for $7.50. It was excellent, the texture, taste, presentation and the price all hit the spot. The chocolate swirl was very good too, it tasted similar to donut icing and the next time I'm in Danville I will have to stop in and get another peanut butter pie and probably try something else too.

Amazing little bakery with many choices. And, gingerbread - old fashioned, the kind I grew up with (I am 70). There is a great selection of donuts and muffins for the morning crowd, plus all kinds of cakes, cupcakes, fudge, cookies, special occasion offerings, and on and on. I have loved everything I've tried. It's hard for me to decide what I like best. Obviously, I am hooked on the gingerbread. The staff is fantastic. If you see a crowd, don't leave. They really work fast, even answering questions while on the go. Best bakery I've been to in years. They need a tip jar - maybe I missed it.

Neat nostalgic bakery in Danville. Love stopping here when I'm in the area. It's like going back in time! The prices are very reasonable and the pastries and cakes are delish. Be sure to buy some of the glazed Petit Fours. They are my favorites. And if you can't decide which pie to purchase, check out the mini pies so you can try lots of different flavors. I did.

This place has been open as long as I remember, I've actually never been inside. My wife goes often, the regular glazed donuts and donut holes are so freaking good. They are definitely the best donuts I have ever had and I've had alot. They have these bread roles we get at random and for thanksgiving dinner, they are so good she has to buy an extra bag for us to eat waiting on thanksgiving dinner. Try this place out.

A amazing in town bakery with many items to choose from. Very delicious at times, other times, not so much. Kind and unique characters work there and it's usually a vibe. I will say as far as "gluten free" and such goes. You won't find that there. My favorite is the blueberry muffin donut and the cake batter donuts, you can never miss with the Persian rolls either overall a decent place.

Donuts are ok. Things seem to be different and not as good as they used to be. The donuts and cookies don't taste as fresh as they used to be.

What can I say about this Danville Gem that anyone that's ever been close to Danville doesn't already know and said themselves? They are an absolutely amazing bakery. From donuts to cakes you can't go wrong. The staff is always wonderful and kind. The smell alone make it worth stoping in. This is not just an amazing bakery it is a right of passage to go here. It is a part of our culture and history.

Burke's Bakery is always a must when in town...they have the best of everything!! Cinnamon Sugar donuts are perfect!!

I love leaving Burke's pastries for my Airbnb guests! They usually go back for more during their stay. Love the chocolate pedophiles, chocolate, donuts, donut holes and Persian rolls.
