This small theatre is located in The Henry Clay building. It reminds on stadium seating for movie theaters. You are real close to the stage and the actors. We sat at the very top and still got that experience. We saw the play "Helper" here about gun violence that happens in a small town in a tavern. It has three actors who did an amazing job with all the dialogue that had to remember. The stage prop were on point from the cash register, bar, couch, food prop and more. I only wish we could've spoken to actors afterwards but due to threatening weather moving in it was cut. Also if the air conditioning worked but they had some issue with it.It is located at the corner of third street and chestnut on the third floor. Garage parking is near by for $12. The show tickets are around $25.

One of our friends had told us about a play he went to see recently and highly recommended some of us go to see. We had never even heard of this theater, it is inside the Henry Clay. So we decided to check it out.The play was Boatwright. SO good! Theater was small and cozy (144 seats), comfortable seats. Nice to have a more intimate theater. The play, very funny and good! 3 actors, and really did a great performance! We were able to purchase a beverage or glass of wine right outside theater, and they had cookies to enjoy while waiting. The restrooms are also conveniently right outside the theater. They have a short intermission period so you can get up and move around. The theater also has season tickets you can purchase to their plays. We will definitely be back to see more productions!

I Bet On The Nag was a funny, thoughtful, entertaining production for Juergen Tossman and his team. His wit, and artistic painting of the human condition is beautiful. As I have seen in his past productions, the surface is always light and engaging. He always displays a depth of character, the flavor of Americana while reflecting the values we respect. But, most of all, it's a good time, lots of laughs and maybe a couple tears. The acting was terrific. Thanks Juergen, you are a true gem!

Going to the Bunbury is always a fun & entertaining evening out without breaking the bank. It's a comfortable venue that makes one feel as though you've invited all your super talented friends over for an evening of sophisticated and humorous entertainment. If the plays make you think a little more deeply into today's contemporary issues, all the better! The talents of Matt Orme, Juergen Tossman & Rita Hight are all first class. Couldn't ask for more. Keep up the good work Bunbury!

Professional Down Home Theater. There are a lot of great local theatre companies in Louisville and the Bunbury is one of them. This theatre has an amazing venue located inside the Henry Clay. The theater sits probably around 200 and hosts many original productions. When you walk in you get a home grown feel that has been awarded by Mayor's of Louisville and national fairs. Images and awards line the walls of just why this theater company is a must view. All the volunteers and staff are part actor/set designer/director/producer/writer part jack of everything. This talented group definitely supports local talent and home grown art. I bought my season tickets on sale during a Groupon Event and am looking forward to getting to know the resident artists and enjoying the original written pieces. If the theater down on Main is a little pricey, get a the same work for a better cost. Bunbury always has cocktails and snacks too.
