This is our go to place for date night whenever my wife and I are in Owensboro. We love the burgers and the salad bar. I do wish that there was more gluten free options here and the hours were extended a bit, however pertaining to the gluten free options, I wish that about most restaurants due to my wife and son having a gluten intolerance. The salad bar is great and the price isn't that bad for a date night. I would consider this an upscale restaurant for Owensboro. We have always had great service at this restaurant and will continue to go here.

Nice restaurant, low light setting for date night and chill environment. Soup and salad bar included with entree. Hoppin John soup is the best, rice, beans and sausage! Bread loaf and strawberry spread is delicious! Wish they still had the cinnamon butter for the bread! Picture shows broccoli cheddar soup and hoppin John! Beef tips and rice, bourbon glazed salmon, California vegetables. Bread and strawberry butter.

Normally good. Worst meal I have had here ever. Marinated chicken was not marinated, cooked dry, pineapple ring that is usually cooked on chicken was cold. And the worst part, no cheesy potato soup and it was Monday. Won't be back for a long time. Mike (owner) the restaurant is looking better and tasting bad. The best part was the baked potato.

sweet little place nestled in Owensboro with a lovely buffet for a salad and soup. Very clean the service is amazing. Everybody is very welcoming. This is the second time I've eaten here and I'll definitely be back if you're close by this is one you wanna stop and have lunch close around 2 PM in the afternoon

Excellent experience. Solid well provisioned salad bar. Simple ambiance and good food. The steaks rivaled any you could have at the expensive downtown restaurants.

Great food and service! We will definitely go again! The salad bar was fresh and the steaks melt in your mouth!

We were so disappointed. Between the four of us, we ordered the prime rib, the trio platter and the rib eye. None of it was good. Very greasy and all the beef had the same greasy flavor. The prime rib was so tough, it was inedible. I didn't want to embarrass our host, so we did not complain. But it was a very disappointing meal after our 45 minute drive to dine there.

Came in for dinner tonight and the food and service were both well below average. We both ordered steaks, a potato skin appetizer and I ordered wine.I will start with the one good and that is the salad bar. It is a solid, traditional salad bar and the two ladies maintaining it were hard working.As for the rest the potato skins were okay but a bit crispy.At this point the meal went downhill fast. Both steaks were badly overcooked. I ate most of mine as I can eat medium/medium well steak even if I ordered medium rare. My daughter wanted to have a new steak but we did not see the waitress for 20 minutes after delivering our food. She did have time to go behind the kitchen line and share items on her phone with the cook while we were without service. My wine never was delivered. When we let the waitress know that we just wanted to get rid of my daughter's meal as I had already finished mine, they took the steak price off but added the $15 ala carte salad bar. The manager could not be bothered to come over and talk with us.Even if the meal was correctly cooked and with decent service the steaks were over priced.I do not recommend Briarpatch and will not return

Was visiting my dad and order the ribeye sandwich. Food and Service was great! All you can eat salad bar was fresh.

My husband and I ateTheir for The firstTime. It was excellent, we definately return ! ! My husband enjoyed the Hot brown sandwich and I got the Prime Rib sandwich and the salad bar is the BEST in the area.......We enjoyed every portion of this amazing food ~ Have to say the sandwiches went home with us and we had a wonderful lunch the next day Yum doesn't get better than this !! Well Worth the stop.
