Bourbon Barrel Tavern

HUGE selection of bourbon!! It's really nice to be able to buy a drink or two of your favorite, whenever it's been out of stock in any liquor store for at least a year. My hubs loves Blanton's. BBT also carries Rowans Creek, (one of my top 3 faves). It's made by Willetts, is 101 proof, and Rowans is a creek my husband grew up playing in. If you're questioning if you should come here, just do it. We'll definitely revisit when we come back through.Our service was also great. Thanks Paula!

Great place and cool atmosphere. Wish they had a kitchen but the drinks are on point!

Cool place, friendly and a huge selection. If you'd like to try it and can't find it, they have it here. It's nicer to pay for a shot to find out you either like or don't like the expensive bottle you're seeking. Then they steered us right with a local Liquer store so we could pick up some picks we'd been looking for. Thanks

Stopped in one night to listen to the live music and participate in Floyd Tap takeover. Drove in from Louisville - after a large car show that day in etown. Even though it must have been a long day with all the activities in the area the staff was still super. My husband enjoyed several beers and was beyond happy with them. ( sorry I don't drink beer but he went on and on and on about the selection ‍ I just nodded ) We had a great time and I believe the band was the Culpeppers. We didn't know ahead of time there wasn't food or food trucks around so we had to cut our visit short so we could get some food. Had a great time and can't wait to go again.

Waited 30 minutes to pay our bar tab while biggie with beard and the other two bartenders passed by completely ignoring us. Traveled across the us to bars in over 30 states and have never had such a poor experience. Just completely trash service.

First time visiting the BBT and had a great time. Beautiful tavern and by far the best place to have a drink and listen to some great music in Elizabethtown. Limestone creek did a great job and the bat service was over the top!Will definitely come back

Unprofessional staff. Bartenders seemed to be feuding, several customers noticed. Over served people they knew were driving home!!! Only good thing was the live music.

As my mother would say, "Oh My...." Jason did a phenomenal job of supplying my with some of the greatest Bourbon Old Fashioned drinks that I have had. He is truly an asset to the establishment in Elizabethtown, KY. Just a few miles down the road from the bourbon capital of the world, Bardstown, KY., Jason is doing it in the downtown square at Bourbon Barrel Tavern. It is worth the stop on I-65 to enjoy a good drink!

Absolutely the worst! DO NOT! We had enjoyed a few drinks before going across the street for dinner. When we came back after eating, we we're enjoying ourselves as adults do... the blonde bartender cut us off without an excuse or warning! Our friends were so upset they walked out, she then tried to put all their drinks on our bill hoping we wouldn't notice! We paid our bill, but they're still pending with 2 additional bills. I'm so disappointed in a tavern that boasts high reviews and has Bourbon in the name! We were prepared to stay the evening and drink with friends. I'll never darken that doorstep again. I'd rather hang outside with the homeless lady that hunts through their trash!
