We absolutely love Boudreaux's! It's been a while since our last visit, but every time we go, we're reminded why this is THE spot for snow balls in Louisville. The service is consistently wonderful, everyone is always so sweet and helpful. The vibe here is fantastic, nostalgic! One of the coolest things is that they started serving snow balls year-round last year! And don't forget, their Gumbo season kicks off in October, which is always a treat. Highly recommend!

Craving a sugary shaved ice and this hit the spot. Medium is a great size but there's smaller and larger. Next time I'm going to couple my cherry shaved ice with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. We walked in when no one was in line and three ladies were behind the counter, ready to take care of us. They have several tables outside, most covered to avoid sun or rain. Despite serving such a sticky product the tables felt decently clean for an outdoor space. Plenty of parking for those coming and going.

This hidden gem is fantastic! Reminds me of the small little shop that would pop up in my home town during the summer with a line of kids waiting for their snow cones. It was so cute and cool in there. Incredibly small space, but super cool. The flavors they have were amazing. Endless list of options, I wasn't sure what to choose. I got a mix of two, with cream, and it was delicious! Obviously super sugary and messy, but soooo worth it! If you need a snow cone pick me up, look no further!

Over the top good! Being from Baltimore, there are only a few select places we get our snowballs from. I was skeptical being all the way out here that I'd find a good snowball. Finding the place is hard, the sign is hidden behind a tree and you have to drive into a parking lot of another office building to even see it. Even the navigation was confused. Once you get inside its small but has adequate seating on the outside and it's covered. Keeps you out of this hot sun! Relaxing spot to enjoy your snowball. Cute for a first date. I got the Co Conut flavor with condensed milk (first picture), my MIL got strawberry, and my son got ice cream flavored with whipped cream and sprinkles. Let me say that all of them were outstanding. The ice is shaved so finely it reminds you almost of Frappuccino ice. The flavors are bold and amazing. I am definitely going back. My son -who barely will eat anything - ate all of his and some of mine!

What a treat to beat the heat! I promise that's where the rhyming stops but the flavor doesn't end! I appreciate how much sugary syrup they put into each cup and I think you will too.Lots of flavors to choose from which means there are unlimited combinations. Priced just right; we bought 2 medium and 1 small for $13They offer outdoor shaded seating or just chill in the car.Life's short, eat the seasonal sugary treats!

I lived in New Orleans for four years before moving back to Kentucky for work. When I left a real sno ball was on the list of things I'd miss most about the Big Easy. Boudreaux's opened & I went asap to see if they'd hold up. THEY DO. First of all the family who opened it are actually from NOLA. West Bank. That matters. There is a difference between a sno ball & a snow cone & they understand it. The ice is shaved so finely it is literally like fresh fallen snow packed into a cup then drizzled with thick syrups that don't just melt & get watery in a few minutes. Boudreaux's has a wide variety of flavors, including many sugar free options. They also have all the traditional sno ball toppings like sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, & sour. The cost is very reasonable for the quantity you get & the staff is always super friendly. I also just love the purple, green & gold decor that makes me feel closer to my second home. Since sno balls are seasonal, they added gumbo to the menu for the colder months & while I have not had it yet I hear that it's amazing. I plan to try it soon.Enjoy supporting a family business that brings a little bit of the culinary culture of another fleur de lis city to the Ville!

They advertise serving gumbo and jambalaya. Most would think at minimum the base or gumbo had veggies like okra, bell peppers, celery and onion in addition to the meat and rice. What I got WAS NOT GUMBO. It was the soup base with cut up sausage with a scoop of rice. I paid almost 10 dollars for broth and sausage. It was so salty that I didn't even eat it,
