Boomtown Biscuits & Whiskey

My first time here! Worth the 20 minute wait time on Saturday morning for a table. Our server, Seth, was excellent. He was very helpful in explaining the dishes and helping us make our choices. His recommendations were absolutely 100% . I had the vegetarian sweet potato & kale& brussell sprouts dish with korean influences. So yummy & more than enough to take home. Ole boy had the chicken sandwich which was on a biscuit. I have to say the biscuits here are OUTSTANDING. No need for jams, but there are unique varities to choose from.The chef driven menu is noticeably prepared with , as they say, "confidence". Oh yeah, and don't pass on the drinks.......you'll be missing out!

The food was delicious and Seth our server was awesome, very nice and attentive also made great suggestions. I highly recommend this place.

Delicious!! This is a must go too when I visit my sister! The staff and restaurant itself is very nice and they are extremely attentive!! The food here is delicious! I highly recommend getting an order of biscuits!! It's comes with many jams and it very soft and nice! Drinks are great here as well!

Ok this is officially my favorite place. Been a year since last going (time flies) and when we showed up, Nancy and her big smile greeted us. After talking she remembered us from last time we were there. As many people as they have come thru their doors, she actually remembers everyone. Food was awesome and we chatted with Nancy the whole time, as it was a slow day. Don't live close so it's a hike getting there, however need to suck it up and go more often. Very rarely do you get outstanding service and food in the same place. Big thanks to Nancy and her great crew.

I know it sounds a bit out there but we had a gravy flight and was not disappointed. The food is great, but the prices are on the high end for Lexington.

Let's start by saying, Cincinnati truly lost a gem. My first visit was when they were located downtown Cincinnati. I had been looking forward to returning when I made it back to Cincinnati only to find out they had moved to KY. They make the best biscuits I've ever had (Kitchen Social, second)... buttery, soft, crumbly interior with crisp edges. Chef's kiss. I've only had the Yukon. The fried chicken breast has a delicate seasoned batter and juicy all-white meat inside. Breasts can easily be overcooked but this was perfect. The potato wedges that accompanied served hot with a Cajun seasoning. Obviously, not a light meal by any means but delicious, nonetheless. I ordered an old fashioned and it was also good. Sadly, I don't frequent Union, KY often so wouldn't frequent as often as I'd like but maybe that's a good thing. Lol.

The biscuits themselves are pretty good. But it's the dozens of clever ingredient combinations on their loaded biscuits that makes this a worthy diversion three miles off the nearest interstate.The different gravies are okay, but the fried chicken is the real highlight of any topping I've ever sampled here. And the seasoned potato wedges are some of the best I've eaten in my lifetime! Get them! The service is excellent here as well.

Incredible! First let me say I'm not from the area. This thing called Goetta? Why is it not served outside Cincinnati. I lived it!Great service and food was awesome. Biscuits were soft and tasty and great gravy too. Fried eggs were perfect. Have to stop here!

Stopped in for my favorite which is the Oregon Trail. My girlfriend got the waffle with shrimp and grits and she loved her food. The Oregon trail is gluten free and vegan without the chicken and full of vegetables! It's by far my favorite item on the menu. Not pictured is the buffalo soldier that my other friend had and he said it was bursting with flavor. We were all satisfied and had great service!

Neat place with very tasty food, especially the biscuits & wattles... Too pricey to eat every week though.
