My search for a PT has not been a good experience so far. So many are cookie cutter exercises and don't work with the individual's needs, but pull out a piece of paper and use that for the routine. I thought BodyQuest might help and from the web site appeared to really want to work with it's clients. Sadly, I never found out because no one ever responded to my email. I have found a great small studio that works with the individual and their needs. BodyQuest's loss.

I went into BodyQuest July 4, 2018 with the goal in mind of losing weight. I purchased a package for $600 that included 3 hour long sessions a week for one month ($50 for each hour long session.) Everything was seemingly fine. I did lose 12 pounds in the 3 weeks I was at BodyQuest and noticed myself becoming stronger and gaining endurance. They offer an outline on what to eat in order to lose weight which I followed closely. Most of the trainers are nice and easygoing but the problem for me was my trainer's time management skills and all around enthusiasm while working with me. Out of the 8 sessions I had, only one lasted a full hour long. I began realizing I was always getting out around 10-15 minutes early. In the case of work or school, that would be a nice perk but not when it comes to cutting short something I'm paying money for based on the time I'm spending there. It wasn't as if I had finished my work for the day and there was nothing left, in which case you should still be given more exercises to do to fill the up the hour with, but he would just shorten then amount of reps I'd do each exercise if he felt I wasn't going at the pace he wanted (or, according to him "putting in enough effort.") The other main issue for me was constant cancellations. Many times my trainer would text me and ask if I could come in an hour later or an hour earlier instead of our set time which was usually okay. The problem was that there were 3 times in which he would flat out cancel the day's session, 1 of which was an hour before we were scheduled to meet and the other 2 were both cancelled as I was 10 minutes away from arriving at BodyQuest. I live about 25 minutes away so I always left 30 minutes prior to the time we were going to meet, and I'd be almost there and receive a text saying he couldn't come in that day. These instances don't include the time I came in for what time he had put me down for and he was working with someone else and told me he had the time wrong and that he emailed me a rescheduled time (which doesn't make sense because we had been doing all of our communication over text and I never received an email?) It was all just EXTREMELY unprofessional. The last day I trained there was July 28th and he yet again ended it 10 minutes early because I said I needed a break. So I confronted him and said I wasn't getting the time I'm paying for, to which he replied that I'm lazy and whiny and am not a hard worker like all of his other clients. This blindsided me because I had been thinking I was doing so well, being that I had lost 12 pounds I'm 3 weeks and all. Collin, a trainer who does consultations and works with business aspect of BodyQuest (I assume?) then intervened and I was discussing with both of them how it's unprofessional to reschedule me 3 times at the last minute in a 3 week time span, and neither of them acted like that was a big deal whatsoever. The guy who'd been my trainer told me that he "reschedules clients all the time"..... I'm just not understanding how they don't realize that is terrible work ethic?? He also stated that I agreed to each reschedule, so why am I complaining now? to which I say.... because I already paid and I want what I paid for? What am I going to do, say no? It all just made no sense and took me by surprise. Especially when he started talking down to me as a reason for why he ends sessions early EVERY TIME. He acted as if he was doing me a favor every time I came in, getting irritated when I was going too slow or needed a 30 second break to catch my breath (WHICH RARELY HAPPENED.) It doesn't matter if I want to come into training and spend my hour sitting on my ass and braiding my damn hair, if I have already paid you for an hour, I should get an hour of your time. I think this is a problem with paying so much upfront, because once they have your money they approach their job with a lazy mindset. I think Collin is really nice and handled me cancelling my membership well, but I can't believe they let someone who talks down to clients and wastes their time and money continue working there. I have one week (which should be 3 sessions but is actually 4 because we had to make up for another time he had canceled on me - so $200 worth) of sessions left but decided to just quit cold turkey because of the toxicity.

Body Quest has helped me change my body.My trainer Jack makes me work harder with each workout. No workout is ever the same and it never gets boring. He has helped me push through tough workouts and guided me in improving my form. I have lost 10 lbs, decreased my body fat and lost inches off my body. My body is getting toned.I have done everything from HIT at centers, gym, etc and none of it worked for me. I sometimes take my son there and everyone is so nice to him, my trainer keeps an eye on him while I finish my workout. They never get irritated!

Started out great, had great trainers for over 2 years saw a lot of results. The trainers eventually moved on and the owner Chris did not contact me to follow up on $3200 worth of sessions my husband and I prepaid for. We contacted Chris for refund and were told we would have to wait 60 days. The only reason I can think of he can't refund us our money for services not performed is because he is broke, not sure what he did with our money, but he sure didn't use it on the Bodyquest gym. Chris even made a verbal threat to " kick me in the balls" after I left a note for him requesting to fix the elliptical machine, then he made false accusations about my husband and threatened legal action...STAY AWAY!! Only gets one star because I cant make it o or negative
