Bodega Mi Sueno

First & Foremost: I will be returning to try the different items in their bakery case!This is a grocery/restaurant. I came in on a Friday evening, less than an hour before they closed. Because of that, the food was a little limited, most of the items they had out were nearing the bottom, and they didn't have many things out. Because of the lack of lack of options I decided to get the cubano sandwich, the tres leches cake, & a drink.The sandwich was massive. I ate one half and saved the other to give to my husband. I wasn't the biggest fan of the ham they used, but my husband liked it all the same. I was a fan of the bread! Not sure how they made it so good and crispy, but it was amazing. The sandwich itself was just okay.The tres leches cake. I really loved the icing (the pink one). The cake was good but I don't think it was moist enough. It was a two tier cake so perhaps that's the reasoning. I got the small one (about $7) and it was easily enough for 4 decent size servings. Overall a cute little local place & I can't wait to go back for bread and other desserts!

It was refreshing going to a different Cuban grocery store. I love Cuban food, but I was continously going to the same spot. While telling my sister this, she suggested that I try Bodega by Bashford manor. And I am glad that I did.First of all, not only are they a grocery store, but they also have a buffet behind the glass where you tell them what you want and they put it in a to go box. They have plenty of bakery, pastry, etc... different varieties of meat, rice, sweets. I could go on and on.If you enjoy Cuban food then you should try this place. They give you plenty of food and the price is very reasonable.

Half Grocery, half cafeteria style dining area with hot meals for eat in or to go - brush up on your Spanish because the food is not marked, and English is spoken pretty sparingly. I got a yellow rice that had chicken and vegetables mixed in, and ropa veija (even, I, quintessential white girl, knows a good ropa when I see it). The food is incredibly delicious, generous and filling. Hot tip though, if you want to buy anything from the grocery side, you have to pay for it separately on the grocery side, you cannot pay for grocery things on the cafeteria side. Thrilled this place is here!

I was sad to find out they closed their store front on Bardstown months ago. And then voila, it appears next to Target.So i went today and O.M.G. i went inside to find some fruits and meats, but to my surprise i found a huge cafe side! I get a lunch combo (rice, meat, side) for $9.99 and it is like a 5lb takeout container. They fill it with so much happiness and deliciousness. I am so happy today.I will 10483924% go back! And their fresh squeezed orange juice is so refreshing!!

A real local secret for me. A couple of weeks back, one of my coworkers asked me if I wanted to go to lunch. He said that he knew this great litte Cuban place down the street. I thought, why not? What a VERY pleasant surprise. I would have never even known this place existed were it not for my friend. It is not what you think of when you think traditional restaurant because it is half restaurant and half grocery store. I did not have time to explore the grocery store but I know I will next time. The incredible aromas hit you as you walk in the door and from there it just gets better. I am no Cuban cuisine expert by any stretch of the imagination so I went with what I had always heard about, the Cuban pressed sandwich. I am so glad I did because I had only ever had Cuban pressed sandwiches at non-Cuban restaurants. The real deal is so much better than the others. The pork and turkey were juicy, tender, and succulent and the bread was crisp and buttery on the outside. It was so well done that the sandwich never got soggy while I was eating it. When I bit into the sandwich it would crunch and then my mouth would immediately fill with the juices of the meat. It was hands down one of the best sandwiches I have ever eaten. The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 is because of the location and limited seating. I HIGHLY recommend giving this place a go if you think you can buy a Cuban pressed sandwich at Panera.

Excelente servise, and very clean aria. Love this location it close to my work and we eat all most evry other day. The Cuban sandwich is one of the best they have and the staff is great. Really recommend this spot and the pice is great. You get more food than what you can handle jajaja.

Quick! Delicious! Hot meals! The best place to grab lunch. You will be the only person speaking English. But that's how you know the food is A+. They always have new selections. Always an A from Health inspection which is next to impossible to do. A hidden GEM!!

Disappointed, go there half hour before the closing and unfortunately the expresso Cafe' totally shut down...

Great Cuban Bodega!!! They have delicious desserts and food at an amazing an affordable price!!! The staff is friendly and treats everyone like family... hope I get a chance to come back and buy something from the butcher, cause it looked like some of the best meat I've ever seen! Don't forget to buy a few things drink or snack on while there!

Love this place! Being Cuban, I can say everything they have is very authentic and the workers are really friendly! They give large portions of food for a really good price. Totally worth it! The place itself seems pretty clean and relaxed. I recommend trying the authentic Cuban snacks! Food ordered : Ropa VeijaCongri
