Decent place we dropped into for lunch. Bar service was attentive and friendly. Several of our party ordered their beers and enjoyed them. Food wise the wings stood out, the roast beef dip was well received, as was my buffalo chicken salad.

It's long but read the whole thing. Attended a trade show with my coworker at the convention center. Tried some other restaurants near the convention center and they were either too "upscale" or tourist traps. We stumbled upon this absolute gem of a brewery restaurant. Every little thing about this place was amazing! Walk down stairs off the street...love it! Amazing welcoming staff...yup! Beer...great! The real kicker besides the staff and the atmosphere was the food!!! (The beer was very good just not my style.) Everything we ordered was just perfect!! We went for lunch the first time and went back for lunch and dinner two other days!!! Seems weird but the menu had such good variety it just made it too easy!! The portobello ultimate veggie sandwich was amazing!!! (I did it on the sourdough bread but the pretzel bun is good) my buddy had the Asian stir fry and would not stop talking about it! (He licked the plate!) And of course they had bourbon. A delicious 3 bourbon flight for $25...f**k yeah!! Thanks to the whole staff if any of you read this! I hope you enjoy the board game I left you!!! If you need more I left my card with the game. Build up a game library!

Fun spot on Whiskey Row in downtown Louisville. Atmosphere is nice; lots of exposed brick and the music isn't overwhelmingly loud. The draft list isn't huge (9 on tap when I visited) but a nice selection of styles to suit most tastes. The food menu has a nice mix of items including veggie options. Service was fast and friendly. Note they are closed on Sundays and Mondays so plan accordingly.

A Pioneer in the Microbrewery Scene in Louisville.Another day was spent roaming around the downtown area and again I found myself famished. I had been out several nights in a row and just wanted a nice cold beer and some lighter food options, The Bluegrass Brewing Company had everything I needed and it was just around the corner from my hotel. I was seated quickly by the friendly staff and they helped pick out a nice easy-drinking beer from their collection. I started with a bowl of their soup-of-the-day which was a Barley and Beef Soup. This was a medium-sized dish full of chunks of braised beef. This soup was very good. For my main course, I went for their PowerHouse from the salad section of the menu which was a salad made from Kale, Spinach, Quinoa, Beets, Carrots, Garbonzo Beans, Pumpkin Seeds, and Dried Cranberries and my choice of dressing which I had on the side. The veggies in the salad were all clean and tasted fresh and surprisingly this salad was very filling, sans the calories. The Bluegrass Brewing Company is Louisville's first microbrewery, and if you like beer and good food, give them a try.

I came for dinner on a Saturday night. The resturant was half filled but it was super loud. There was nothing dampening the sound and it just echoed off the walls. It was also super hot on the second floor. The waitress kept saying how busy she was. She didn't bring us extra napkins like we asked for an didn't really check on us after taking her order. The food wasn't great either. The burgers were served "all dressed" but were not delivered that way. They just had the few toppings special to that burger. The food wasn't great. The french fries were hot but not crispy. There was a $1.99 charge to substitue the chips for fries, yet they cost the same on the menu. Overall we were disappointed by this restaurant and will likely not be back.

Was staying just down the street at the Galt House. One of my friends told me before I left Louisville I had to try a Kentucky Hot Brown so this was the closest place I could find that served them. Kind of a cool place. Very much a dive bar feeling. I sat down at the bar and order a Bourbon Barrel Ale from the bartender along with my KY Hot Brown. I really enjoyed both the KY Hot Brown as well as the beer that was brewed in house. Overall I recommend this place to anybody in search of a Hot Brown or cold draft

Bluegrass Brewing Company is a staple of Louisville. They helped to pioneer the microbrewery scene, and since 2010 they have occupied a former bank space downtownWhen in Louisville you have to try a hot brown. The hot brown at BBC features sliced turkey, tomatoes, bacon, mornay sauce, cheddar jack cheese, and smoked paprika served open-faced over sourdough toast ($17.90). This is a great example of this famous Louisville dish and the serving size is large enough that it could be shared.Bluegrass Brewing Company is worth a stop for great pub food and while you are there try a dank IPA.

Great location, wife had the soup of the day-mushroom, she enjoyed it. I had the Hot roast beef dip- good. Good draft beer and mead. Server - Laura C did a great job. Will try again when we are in the area.

We came here after seeing it nearby from our hotel and gave it a shot mostly for the food but also for some drinks. My friend is more of the beer drinker but I am looking for the good food. It was an easy walk from most places in downtown Louisville. We were seated right away on the upper floor and we had great service from our waiter. The ambiance is really chill and relaxed which caught me off guard because I saw a lot of people walking in who are dressed up very nice. They must have a banquet room further upstairs as hoards of people came in. I had just one of the regular burgers but it was really darn good! The brioche bun was amazing and overall just full of flavors. My friend had the Reuben which was also just really good and top-notch high quality. You do not want to ruin a Reuben sandwich when it comes with so many delicious ingredients. Overall a great place! Would definitely return next time we are in Louisville.
