This is a small local bar in a college town. I went to hear the Pat Harbison Quintet. The music was amazing. Parking is in the garage or on a lot. Be sure to use the app to pay for the parking. Patrons can bring food in to the bar to eat because they don't offer much in the way of munchies. Drinks were readily available and inexpensive. I enjoyed reading the graffiti in the bathroom!

Visiting from out of town and our friends brought us to the Blockhouse. They had an awesome 8 piece band that was really good. Most fun I've had on a Saturday night in a long time. Very friendly people. Cheap drinks but no pressure to drink at all. I liked the vibe.

Looks like your cousin's basement! Big hipster and LGBT crowd. Someone even brought their pink poodle. I went for the Tuesday night honky tonk, and was blown away by the talent of the live bands on a weekday in a small college town. They only have beer and wine on the menu.

Hard to find. Go in the alley behind the Atlas bar. Next to The Backdoor Lounge, look on your right (northside) for an entrance.Nice room, fun people, not huge. Dive bar atmosphere. Not overly crowded. Has a lot of special events and musicians, so check their sched. No amazing food, drink prices are ok. You can carry on a conversation, usually. Decent seating. Occasionally gets crowded. Parking nearby in the convention center lot after 6pm for free. Overall less stressful than other nearby spots.

Loud. Limited seating, not a very good menu on beers. Could use some work aesthetically. Younger crowd, so, customer tastes aren't as refined. Seems like they don't really know who their audience is.
