This place is so crammed with food from floor to ceiling that if there was a fire good luck making it through the narrow aisles (and avoiding the stacked food on the floor) and making it to the door. As mentioned in another review there is a bottle neck near the counter that makes is hard to move from the area where you enter to the other room where the dry goods are stored. There is a very good selection.Like the other markets on third street you shouldn't come here if you are looking for anything that isn't Vietnamese. I saw a few lonely jars of Kimchi in the back refrigerator and a few cartons of century eggs but beyond that it is almost exclusively Vietnamese. Come armed with a grocery list..

Love it. Can't get enough. Much different than my hometown of Kensington-- but the name pretty much says it all. I was here yesterday, and I'm back again today because I just find it to be so unique. When I came home last night, my wife said, "Where have you been?!" "Binh Phuoc!" I told her.

It's a good size grocery store (among the largest ones), wide range of Asian products for which the store has to compensate neatness and some cleanliness. The owner is friendly enough, but not as fair. My pet peeve is that there's not a lot of waiting space near the check-out register and when there are several customers waiting, things get overwhelming. The owner isn't as good at keeping of who came first. As a result, people have knowingly cut in front of me, without interventions from the owner. They almost always have what I'm looking for though.

I won't lie. This place probably has what you need. However, when I go there they look at me as though I were some kind of monster. Is it really that strange that a white guy goes to an Asian grocery store in LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY? I try to be super nice but the only response I get is pretty much their own way of saying, "Get the hell out of here!"It's a shame because if they were proactive in interacting with non-Asian customers about what the customers want and what they're looking for, I think they could have a really booming business.I would love to stand around for hours and talk to these people about who they are and such... but when I go there I immediately feel hated. What gives?

I've been going to this store for over 10 years, since I moved into the area. It is one of my favorite Asian markets in town, partly because I feel like I stepped into another world. It is a world where space is precious and ever inch is used, where the checkout line is somewhat fluid, and where all types of people flow through at one time or another and therefore nobody is unique. Prices are often not marked on items but I have always found them to be fair or better than grocery store prices. They are closed on Mondays as of 2015. Produce can look a little tired on some days but if you hit it when they've had a recent delivery (2x times per week?) the produce is really nice. It is very well stocked for the size. Some Japanese ingredients are in the back corner.
