This was my first time inside Barista Parlour. It's in the lobby of the 500 W building, which is one of the tallest in downtown Louisville. The coffee bar looks very small compared to the space it occupies, but it's very cool to have something like this here.There was only one other person at the coffee shop, so I was served pretty quickly. I ordered a Bourbon Vanilla, which seemed heavy on the milk, and lighter on the actual flavors. I got a caffeine buzz, so something must've worked. It was $5, which for a downtown brew isn't so bad.The atmosphere was pretty dead and felt very sterile. If you like a very quiet, almost library-like, work environment, this is ideal. There is a lot of seating and plenty of outlets available. I did love the floor to ceiling windows that give a lot of good natural light. There are better coffee options downtown, but I'd stop by here again.

$8 for a 12oz latte is wild. Not to mention you have to pay to park. The scenery is nice with a lot of natural light but there's also a lot of foot traffic that isn't necessarily for the coffee shop. I got the cereal milk latte. The taste was odd and thick.

I was visiting for an on-site and after visiting a few other cafes in the area, this place definitely wins best coffee shop. I stopped by during a morning walk to the office. It's sits in the lobby of a large office building (a few of the doors are for folks with keycard access only, but the side facing Jefferson st. anyone can enter through). It's airy and spacious and if you need to get some work done the seating is quite comfortable (though limited).Their pour over options are excellent and they have two espresso blends on offer for lattes and other espresso drinks. The also have some fun scones and chocolate bars. I would have liked a nonfat or low fat milk option so you can really taste the espresso, but you can't win them all. A wonderful (and much needed) addition to downtown!

Quite a nice surprise finding this place after morning walk. Located in the lovely lobby of this high rise building, you find it. Coffee was excellent, order a cortada, and two cereal milk lattes which were great and well prepared. Friendly staff and proper service! Great find if you're downtown!

A coworker actually recommended this place. It was bigger than I thought. I love the environment and how open it is. Tried the bourbon and whiskey latte and it didn't taste unique to me, but still enjoyed it. I've been back a few times. Ordering breakfast takes a little bit longer as there aren't enough staff. So plan to wait at least 30 minutes if someone ordered before you did.
