Read about this place in travel and leisure and it didn't disappoint. Great retro feel, nice court yard with fire pits and a nice pool. Room was clean and well appointed. Check in was easy. Highly recommend staying here. We will go back.

A one-night stay here proved worth the money & the charm of it all stood out. We live in town but opted for a local getaway recently. The rooms were snazzed up a year or so ago, and the mid-century modern look definitely works. The salt water pool and gravel courtyard with firepits & open bar made for a good grown-ups experience. We have little ones at home but grandma took care of them this time. But if we'd brought them, the pool's 6-inch deep wading end would have been VERY welcome. No lifeguard but that's no problem. We handle our own kids - I don't need some unknown teenager in a speedo pretending to care for my littluns. We've stayed at motels coast-to-coast but never one quite like BML. It's a click above a motel but a click below a resort hotel. Even still, we'd recommend it over the divey options on the highway here. I won't name them but JUDAS PRIEST they are woeful. One negative - the staff is polite & gracious but stretched a bit. I noticed the desk clerk doubling as firestarter & gopher, often leaving the desk unstaffed. They have some growing pains to work out but we like BML a great deal. The associated eatery - Toogie's Table - brings people in as well but the rooms & pool make for a solid draw. The rates are better than the overblown & overrated B&Bs around here. But that's just my opinion ... I could be wrong.

I can't believe that no one has reviewed this hotel before. Having driven by it so many times, I was skeptical when my husband said he booked it for our stay in Bardstown. But we had seen a review of it on YouTube and I thought it was worth a shot. It's a mid-century themed lodge that has been tastefully renovated. So firstly, it is every bit as charming and clean as all of the pictures. I used one or two of BML's site pics so you could see how cute it is since there are no other pics on Yelp yet. The beds were so comfortable- like one of the most comfortable beds of all the places and Airbnbs that I've stayed in. The rooms are a great size and, again, it's so clean and charming. Staff is super friendly. There is the most adorable outdoor/ courtyard area where they light fires, have adirondack chairs, and have an indoor area where there is a couch, tv, and bar. You can bring your bourbon score of the day and come have a drink by the fire and roast marshmallows and eat s'mores (s'mores cost $5 tho). It's seriously so cute and cozy. I would stay here again in a minute. Only cons that I could come up with is- I'd maybe prefer a more modern shower, there is a decent amount of noise from the main road, and I would have given this place 6 stars if the s'mores came complimentary with the room. But overall, we were so pleased with this place.

Very fun place! Great outdoor hangout space to meet with others and enjoy some chill time after a day out on the bourbon trail. We loved the fire pits! Nicely decorated rooms, and good communication. The room could have used a little more cleaning, and had some cobwebs in the lamp and a stain on the bed sheets. Unique place that we would stay at again when in the area.

We stayed here for an adult weekend with friends and it was a fun atmosphere. The pool was nice, the bartender and staff were friendly, and the fire pit area was perfect for hanging out in the evening. The rooms were clean and bed was very comfortable. It is about a half mile walk to downtown Bardstown with sidewalks. We ate at the restaurant for brunch and enjoyed our meal. Overall a fun weekend.

So glad we found this cute hotel on our way through Kentucky. Reservations were super easy . Check in was a breeze and the staff was so very friendly . The room was super clean and beds so comfy. The frig was very cold which we love . After arrival we went to the courtyard area and had s'mores by the fire. I was traveling with my 15 yr old son and he especially love that. We had a long day of travel and the beds felt so nice to us when we finally got time for some rest . I'm writing this after we continued our trip on through to West Virginia . I'll say ... the Bardstown Motor Lodge beds beat these chain hotels hands down ! So comfy . I can't wait to return on my next trip to the Bourbon Trail . Thanks for a great stay ! 5 stars for sure !

Charming and modern little motel in Bardstown. Cozy rooms with modern amenities, a heated pool and lounge area, and great outdoor space for drinks and socializing. Outstanding staff and a wonderful manager, Stephanie, who went out of her way to make me feel welcome and at home in Bardstown. When I return, hopefully for a more extended stay, this place will be my first choice!!!

We were really surprised because it seemed like a fixed up "No Tell Motel" upon searching but it's far from it. Nice rooms, fun courtyard and a bar/restaurant (we didn't have the greatest experience there but you might). It's also really close to the Bourbon Fest and other restaurants. Prices are decent but everything is marked up for the festival but we were very happy with our stay.

Room was clean, but the bathroom smelled like mildew. The pool area was great. It says walking distance to My Old KY Home, but it is way too far to walk there or to walk to any of the restaurants and bars except the restaurant attached to the motel.
