Speaking from the view of a retail/storefront customer as compared to someone ordering feed for a whole farm, I think this is a nice store. I don't have any info on their more full scale feed and ag business side of things. The dog food selection is good, a mix of basic and premium brands so there should be something to suit most dogs and most budgets. Same with the selection of dog collars and toys etc. Not as much as a dedicated pet store, but enough to fit most needs. Prices are quite fair.I browsed the horse item area since although I ride, I don't own a horse. I do know the general prices and needs though and I think that most basic items could be found here. Not saddles or such of course, but halters, leads, buckets, supplements, feed etc. There is also an area of tools and garden type needs, very similar to Tractor Supply Company. Outside there are hay feeders and dog kennels for sale.Overall, this is a good local alternative to TSC for average household (dog, horse, lawn, garden) needs. As a plus, they were welcoming of me bring my on-leash dogs in while I shopped. Since I am often heading to or from hiking etc with the dogs, I think it is a big plus when I can take them inside a suitable store (I'm not taking them in Kroger of course!)

Nice new building, friendly employees, but terrible service from management! I couldn't believe it either especially from such a small town mill. I have been trying to order a specific cat food for three weeks. I have talked to the same gentleman each time; each time he says he "forgot" to order it, but promises it will be at the store "this week." I have been "promised" this twice, waiting a total of three weeks. If Bardstown Mills didn't want to order the food (for me and the Humane Society) all they had to do was let me know instead of stringing me along. The second time I talked to management, the whole team was playing "pass on the customer" denying having talked to me until I stated I recognized his voice and told the name of the person who took my order...then all of a sudden he remembered me. Still ignoring me, he carried on talking to an employee trying to walk away from me.This is absolutely intolerable customer service and will reflect on the business as a whole. I unfortunately will be carrying my business elsewhere because Bardstown Mills is NOT dependable.

I should have read the reviews before going to Bardstown Mills...that pretty much sums it all up. I am taking my business to a better company! Management can't seem to get their act together and complete customer requests. ((Looks like I am not the only one that has order issues)) They say they can order a product for me, but didn't because they had other stuff to do? Really? What other stuff needs to be done besides GOOD customer service??! His second reply was he forgot. Well, I am about to go back again....any guesses on what his reply is now???? The employees are great, but management is RUDE!!!!! Hope your experience there is NOT what I had.
