This restaurant has been operating for 5 years. It is a Somali restaurant so the menu will be a bit different then most. Asked several questions on the different foods before ordering. The family member waiting on us was very friendly, kind and helpful. You get a bottle of water and a banana with your meal - Somali tradition he says; we ordered chicken sugaar and tilapia plates, service and food was quick. Sugaar came with a mild curry of diced chicken sautéed with yellow rice and vegetables with a spinach/tomato soup and a nice hot sauce for dipping. The tilapia fillets came nicely coated and hot. All was good and very tasty. There is an Indian, Mediterranean and Thai blend of spices that all come together.I forget the name but the little sandwich which is filled with beef is a must try appetizer or many as a meal in themselves. This restaurant brings a new genre of food not commonly found in this area.I do recommend a stop in to try it out.

This has to have been one of the most disrespectful restaurants I have ever visited. The food and service is terrible. I watched them serve locals better than people like me who just wandered in. The ambiance is terrible and almost off putting.

This is a brand new Somali restaurant that has opened in Iroquois Manor. The staff were quite friendly and the dish I tried was delicious! I went for a late lunch and enjoyed the Chicken Sugaar. It consisted of a mild Somali curry of diced chicken sautéed with mixed vegetables served along side aromatic basmati rice and a small salad. A banana and bottled water were thrown in gratis! All the ingredients were fresh and inviting and my meal appeared post haste. One simply orders at the counter and takes a seat at one of the many booths and tables. Immigrant owed businesses like this breath vitality into the neighborhood and make it destination for the poor souls who are unlucky enough not to live nearby. Bon appetit!
