Azul Tequila

So if you have read any of my reviews up to this point, you will know a true foodie is willing to drive for some good food. This is no different as Glasgow is about 45 minutes from home for me. But with the glowing recommendations of a friend who spoke so highly of not only the food but the margaritas, I was in desperate need of a margarita that particular day...so off we went. The drive is beautiful out that way and there are a lot of great restaurants that we will need to try that I took note of along the way. And once we arrived, I was surprised at the sheer size of the restaurant inside and the really pleasant and colorful decor. It's tough to get colorful without looking cheesy but they accomplished it. We were quickly brought to our table and given the most incredibly diverse menu I've probably ever seen at a Mexican restaurant. I will be completely honest in that Mexican American food is a cuisine I am not particularly fond of. I have been to Mexico twice in the last several years and really enjoy TRUE Mexican food... With all its fresh vegetables and fruits... which most of us can't appreciate here in the States at most Mexican restaurants, unfortunately. This menu had quite a few items that reminded me of things I would find on the menu in Mexico that we don't see so often here.Now I wish I could list all the great menu items that I saw, but once the margarita showed up, everything is a blur. Don't say I didn't warn you..m halfway through that margarita, you're going to swear you need an Uber or you better not be the driver on the way home. It's hard to balance that level of alcohol with truly good taste but they do it here. There is quite a variety of flavors of margaritas available...and I figure next time I go, I will have to actually SHARE a margarita with someone so that I can remember what the hell I ate. But I do know that the food was amazing and not the stereotypical fair you will find at Mexican restaurants in general. How do I know that, as goofy as I was post-Margarita? Only because someone else told me how I went on and on about the food.. Slightly slurred but obviously pleased. We will definitely make the drive again and I promise to remember what I ate and be able to talk about it specifically because I do remember looking at the menu and thinking of all the great things I have to try next time...sober!

Good food. Friendly staff. We really enjoyed our meal. There are plenty of choices on the menu and the food was fresh.

Best Mexican food in Glasgow. Higher quality ingredients and by far the most diverse menu in the area. The service is usually great, and the atmosphere and decor give it a unique feel compared to their competitors. Highly recommend!

Good food! Drunken Margs!! But it's an extra 50 cents per marg if you want a frozen. From now on we will ask for "on the rocks". We had the carnitas!!

Love this resturant!!! This is the only Mexican food in town that isnt over salted and cooked in a mass amount of fake white queso sauce! Their street tacos are amazing and authentic. All the staff is very friendly too.Seafood options are good too, which is hard for a landlocked state. 20 thumbs up

Great food and the environment is nice and casual! Got the Azul tequila fajitas, so yummy and so much food!! Fair price and friendly service, the guacamole is made fresh at the table. Just visiting family but will definitely be coming back on our next trip

So glad I was able to stop and try them. Driving a truck there is hardly any good places we can stop to eat, thankfully we can stop to shop at some Walmarts and there is places like this aroThe staff was very courteous and kept checking on us. The food was delicious and well priced. The inside had the usual pictures and tables that you see in most every Mexican restaurant. The owner came by several times and checked on us, said he likes seeing people who enjoy the food. Didn't use it but there is an outside seating area.

I always get the carne asada tacos and its always great, I also love the environment every time. The service is always great but our sevrer today, Hugo, was kind and funny. 10/10.

Good food and service. Had a huge fajitas dinner for two and forgot to take home the leftovers.
